Firehouse Subs

Second time they messed my my order. The first time I went it was a busy lunchtime rush and they messed up the bread, which whatever, it happens. It was slow, also. The second trip I got the puller pork sandwich, which took over 20 min to make with no one in line and three workers making subs and they forgot the cheese and the bbq sauce! Get your stuff together!

The best sub in down town. You get what you pay for, and here is a good example of that. The people are so friendly at this place. Nice to still have someone bring your order out like a expensive restaurant. Rock on fire house!

Love the selection and food! I got a meatball sub and was surprised with the additional options of traditional, with pepperoni, and sweet & spicy.

We came here starving after an afternoon in Lansing. Hubby had experienced Firehouse in Berkley but my son and I were first timers. We split the large turkey bacon ranch sub which was pretty good and they have Miss Vicki’s chips so that was a bonus. Hubby said this location’s sub was a little more messy but the taste was consistent. It almost reminds me of a Quizno’s sub, but in a good way. I loved that they had grilled cheese on the kid’s menu and that it came with a «dessert», cookie or a brownie. My son isn’t a huge fan of lunchmeat so I was a bit nervous and the grilled cheese was a perfect choice. His favorite thing was the plastic fire chief hat, which we had to grab ourselves. As a first timer, I would have appreciated more information about where to get everything that came with the meals but overall it was a good experience. I probably won’t be back to that location as we don’t live in the area but the under 500 calorie options looked really delicious for future reference!

Cheddar and brisket sandwich is amazing. Service was fast. Just seemed just a tad over priced.

When I tried to place an order for delivery, they would only deliver if I ordered at least 3 subs.

Good food, good employees, good atmosphere. Everything was very fast, fresh and filling. Don’t waste your time at Subway when they have sub shops like this around!

Commenting on delivered sandwich because I have never been there.
I ordered the turkey-​bacon-​ranch. It was quite good, but honestly, nothing spectacular. I enjoyed the bread, it was not too chewy. I am glad they wrapped the pickle spear well, because I do not like pickles. The sandwich was fine, not amazing and certainly not bad.

The service is good and the subs are equally good. Meals are prepared fast too! Little overwhelming when you first walk in. Tip: start at the left end of the counter.
