Nice place to go. Good food. Nice bar. Pretty good service. Food isn’t bad for the price.

Well I have made my last visit here. I went in trying to buy 2 lbs of beef. Was told I needed to buy three very rudely to say the least. I didn’t need three pounds. Can’t satisfy a customer who will no longer be stopping in. Sorry.

Wow, i was very impressed not only by the food selection, but the bear menu at Kilroys. For whatever reason, i had never eaten there before, but friends and family were talking alot about the perch and blackened grouper and i had to try it myself. I was Very pleased with the grouper and i had a rubeus bottle of beer that was excellent. I plan to be a much more frequent visitor to Kilroys!

Went in looking for dinner, however the kitchen had already closed. I opted to stay for a drink. My drink came in a nice sized glass with great potency for $ 5.50. John was the guy on drink duty. He was very hospitable and super accommodating! If you’re using a card, you have to spend at least $ 15. Great Lansing neighborhood spot! I felt welcome and I was truly an outlier here!;-)

Love the excellent choice of dinners and very reasonable prices. Staff is friendly and makes you feel like your at home!

This is a great pub to visit, the bartender was fast and made an excellent cocktail. The severs are well informed and efficient. The food is delicious and hearty servings. I’d recommend kilroys if your passing though the area.

First visit from California! Had the «Chicago» burger and I was floored by the awesome quality of the ingredients. We started with the made from scratch nachos — a must have — the service was great. The servers were totally on top of their game. I can’t express how much value there is at Kilroy’s. I will definitely be returning soon!
P. s. I was dining with a group of four adults and one child. They were great at customizing a special dish for our picky eater!

We enjoy the diversified menu, good service, and fair prices. This is a great neighborhood restaurant. We have never been disappointed.

Great place for lunch, dinner or a late night snack. They have a variety of ales, lagers, wines and spirits. Wednesday night is open mic night which is great if you like to listen to local talent. Thursday night there is a bike ride at 7 pm followed by bingo and karaōke. My favorite thing about Kilroy’s is the craft beer selection. They have a lot of Three Floyd’s and other favorite breweries like Founders, Left Hand and Great Lakes Brewery. They makes some great sandwiches on pretzel rolls, which I love! They also have good salads, nachos, burgers, steaks and fish.

I’ve read the poor reviews and still love this place! Peppers and onions is delish. The best wings anywhere! BLT tonight with egg is rockin! Susie is my favorite server for food, johnnie and Megan rock the bar!
Lots of new beers, try the left hand milk stout! Sit back and enjoy!!!

I love Kilroys! Great prices for the drinks and super friendly bartenders (2 in particular). Amazing $ 2 apple pie shots. Haven’t tried the food yet but I will.

The first time you go here you may notice servers are a bit rude. Longer than average wait times to get your order as well. But once the food comes, its the most delicious food you have ever tried. Try the burgers! Or heck the Fish and Chips! (When they have it)
Would be a perfect star rating but one time I ordered the larger burger but they gave me the half time burger. Which is $ 4.50 more, so obviously I expect to get the right size. Can’t prove it unless I bring a scale with me. Perhaps next time! :)

Place really died down. The daytime server should not be a server. She just has no personality. It was just me and my dad for lunch, I asked for chicken parm to go which they didn’t have and she said they could make (and I’d pay extra of course), and that was very nice, but when I got home there was no chicken in it. I went back 10 minutes out of my way and told her about it. She fixed the problem right away, but when I asked for an extra piece for the inconvoence, she said it’ll be an additional $ 3 or something. This was back in Junr of 2013, still haven’t been back

Read the other reviews you will get the idea… Clique type little bar & restaurant in a dying area ! The waitress did seem to be texting a lot and did not really care who got what or when. There is a bouncer/​doorman who is a little overzealous but if you are one of the hometown boys it looked like anything goes… the food was average and nothing to write home about. The funny part is the prom date comment from another post because the guy I went with actually did see his high school prom date the one night we were there lol… So anyway if you are a outsider keep looking there are lots of bars that do average just as well in the area.

Skip this dump!!! I went here cause I got a gift card for xmas. Sat at a high table by the games and t. v’s. And waited for 15 min for a server who never came. Walked up to the bar to ask for a server to goto our table, and then waited almost another 10 min. after that decided to just leave this dump. Don’t go here. Bad service and it smells right when you walk in.

Used to always order burgers from Kilroys, but was very dissappointed recently. Called in and ordered 3 WELL DONE burgers and they came back medium. I understand people are not perfect, and mistakes are made all the time, so I had them take the burgers back. We are a family prone to food poisoning, so I did not want to take a chance with medium cooked meat. I wanted a refund so I could order food from somewhere else but then this old grumpy woman proceeded to say that they «did not want to waste 6 burgers on us». Totally rude. No one told them to make 3 more burgers after they didn’t get the initial order correctly, so this comment was out of hand. However, I decided to give them another chance so I accepted the 3 new burgers. Guess what, they were also cooked MEDIUM. I called in to let them know I was upset about this because I had given them another chance to fix the situation. Long story short: NOTHING WAS DONE. A «manager» told me that they would speak to the owner about this issue and I have not received any call back at all. This was over a week ago.
Never ever coming back again. My husband’s family has been frequenting this restaurant for years. My husband even grew up with a lot of the people that work in that place… Customer loyalty clearly does not matter to the owner’s of this establishment. Also I noticed that their burgers are not the same quality. The meat looks like it’s been glued together. If I want a non quality burger I know plenty of places to get them, Kilroy’s definitely was not that spot before.

I have been going to this place since the early 80’s. It is a friendly reasonable place in town and the food is extremely good for the area. They have very nice waitresses that have been there for many many years. Johnny the bartender is an awesome bartender and very friendly. We always sit in our favorite waitresses tables or booths, her name is Susie and she is a love. If you go there on a Friday or Saturday late afternoon or evening you may have a wait a little bit, but it’s worth it, the prices are reasonable and the food is very good. Sometimes the music in the bar is a little TOO LOUD so you can’t hear yourself talk, but it is after all a bar as well. I am in my mid-50’s and enjoy going here and have for many years. In the summer during cruise nights every month they have all kinds of drink specials and great appetizers…
To the gentleman that had the bad experience with the «young blonde waitress» that is not the norm, give it another try. Of all the years I have been going there I have only had two occasions where we had slow service and it was when they were training a new waitress and the other time we thought the bus girl was the waitress and complained to the owner, but later we found out that because of the snow storm they were short handed and they were short. These things happen now and then, we love this place!

Kilroy’s does it right, a lot of good food made from scratch, well cooked with great looking well done service. A must stop for lunch.

I’m aware that this place gets a bad rap for being that typical spot where people who can’t get over the glory years of high school seem to congregate. That may be true to an extent, but I love this place. Maybe it’s because one of my best friends lives a few blocks away, making Kilroy’s convenient and walkable, but I always seem to find myself here when I’m visiting home.
For starters, the beer is CHEAP and cold. Honestly, you can get a GIANT mug (~36 oz?) of Bud Light for $ 3 – insane! I don’t think I’ve ever paid over $ 4 for a beer here, and they always have a pretty good selection, including an assortment of craft brews from 3 Floyds. The cocktails are also super cheap, and the bartender there makes some of the most aggressive drinks this side of frat-​tastic jungle juice. Said bartender is also super nice and friendly, which is always a plus.
As for the food, I’ve never strayed away from the buffalo chicken sandwich. It’s incredible. No, it’s super mega delicious – the best buffalo chicken sandwich that I’ve had. I’ve also heard the burgers are good, but I’ve never tried one. BIg menu, really solid bar food.
If you think you are too cool for Kilroy’s, get over yourself and check it out. I can assure that you will find yourself having a good time.

Freakishly friendly! Honest! The staff, the patrons, everybody! Excellent prices, excellent service, excellent food… an EXCELLENT experience.
