Worked all day and was in the mood for pizza, called Rico’s and I was refused service because I am staying in a hotel. BADBUSINESS!!! I don’t care how good your food is.

Thin crust, well done perfection. My family grew up on Rico’s and continue to order from them. Great people and some of the best pizza around.

Rico’s pizza is Great but some of their workers are very rude! & I had to wait almost 3 hours for my food to be delivered & they told me it’d only be an hour(Only ordered a Pizza btw) Don’t think I’ll be ordering from them anytime soon… Ratings for the food 5 stars Ratings for the service 1 star

This is the pizza I grew up on. I finally had a chance to get it again after many years and it was just as good as I remember. The thin crust that is just right, the tangy sauce, the italian seasoning… mmm mmmmmm mmmmmmmm. My only complaint was it could use a little bit more cheese. Also if their hours were better I would be able to order it more but I have to get on the road back to my home before they open so I can never get it :(

I wish it was better. The night I walked into Rico’s to order a pizza the owner was working and made my pizza. I enjoyed speaking with her and hearing about how she’s worked there for over 30 years and watching her make the pizzas… BUT the pizza is sub-par. The dough was tasteless and the pizza was under seasoned. I really wished it was better because I always try to support local owners.

Best pizza in town… if you have 2 hours to wait for delivery. Have been ordering pizza from here for over 10 years and I’m very frustrated.

Best pizza in the area by far! Thin crispy crust, but not that weird cracker-like crust like some places around here. Sauce is pretty basic but it’s the perfect amount. Service is a little rough, they’ve been here forever, they are usually super busy and expect you to know what you want. During rush times they can be a little sloppy on the cutting and assembly leaving the middle of a half and half a mix of toppings and abandoned uneaten pizza. Even still, highly recommend.

Ricos is delicious! If you like a thin crisp crust you will love it! Their sandwiches are good too!

Best pizza in the area, however the customer service is a bit rough. rude basically. They sure do make a good pizza. There is this lady who always asks, and yells at her co-workers«Did you ask them if they had a coupon»??? She is always asking about coupons and wants to know if you have a coupon before you order. Why is that? Will they skimp on product? I am not sure, but aside from always being asked for a coupon before I order, its is a very quality pizza. I always say I don’t have a coupon, and then show up with a coupon. That irritates them a bit. but then again I am the customer, and the customer is always right!

This was my first visit. The thin crust was perfect, and it’s the right amount of cheese. Great flavors. My friend always referred me here. I will go back!

Probably one of the best thin crust pizza’s in the south suburbs. It looks like a complete dive, but the food is totally worth it. I always get a large garlic and sausage, and leftovers are rare. It’s so hard to stop. They also have hot sandwich’s they are pretty tasty. My wife always get a Italian beef sandwich. She’ll never let me just get a pizza. I’ve read somewhere here that someone had a bad experience. I can kind of agree the staff could be nicer, but it’s a pure carry out only pizza. Put your order in, pay, leave, and enjoy. I totally recommend coming here.

Service was awful, the lady who was at the register and answered the phone was extremely rude. I’ve never been to this place, so asked a couple questions of what was the most popular ordered item, and if they had chicken wings and answered rudely as if I were suppose to already know. This should have been a sign just to avoid it but reading some of the reviews on here I just went ahead and placed the order which I regret. The food was very greasy, taste was not great, sauce nor cheese had any special taste. I had the 18″ spicy pepperoni thin crust which was nothing special. Definitely the last time I visit this place. Search for another pizza join, as will I be on a quest to find an aesthetic pizza in this area.

Tonight we decided to try a new place for pizza. I checked Unilocal and saw the good reviews for this place and gave it a try. Yeah, so this will be our new favorite place. My husband likes the spicy pepperoni and I really love the crust. It’s thin, but not too thin, so it still has some chew to it. It’s delicious, really. I’m glad for the reviews that encouraged us to give it a try!

Extra spicy, extra thick pizza is great. Cash only at this place though. One of the better pizzas In the area if you’re sick of the pizza huts and papa johns.

BESTPIZZA. EVER. Yeah yeah, I know, everyone says that about their favorite pizza joint. But Rico’s is the real deal. Now you may not realize this but one of the best kept secrets of the Region is that it has more first rate pizza joints than anywhere else in the world(but shhhhh, don’t tell anyone — you don’t need a bunch of tourists showing up to que up for pizza). Don’t believe me? How about Thee Original John’s(now only in Funster, Cal City rest its soul), Aurelio’s(Homewood location ONLY), House of Pizza(Hammond), Langel’s(Highland), Sanfratello’s(Glenwood), etc etc. See? Told ya I know my pizza. All of these are fantastic in their own right and will easily blow away any pizza from Chicago. But Rico’s. Rico’s rules them all. Carry-out and delivery only. Now I ask you, what kind of restaurant doesn’t even bother with tables? I’ll tell you what kind — a restaurant that’s so good, they KNOW you’ll come back, tables or not. Rico’s can do whatever it wants, just keep churning out those dee-licious wheels baby. Like the«soup nazi» but for pizza. Yeah, it’s that good. I’ve been enjoying Rico’s for over 35 years — way back when they were located in the basement of the Party Lounge. Ha! And they still serve it up like they always have — IN A WAXPAPERWRAPPING. Yup, pizza in a bag. No lame pizza boxes for Rico’s. Even the other stellar Region joints don’t do that anymore. Now that’s old school, pal. Rico’s NEVER fails me. I fly back from L.A. just for that pizza. I dream about it when I’m on the plane. Straight from the airport to Rico’s I go. But never on a Monday. They’re closed.

Rico’s is and has been one of the best pizza places in the area. The thin pizza is always packed with cheese, I love their sauce and, if you like crispy crust, this is a pizza you’re going to love. I actually like soggy crust but I could appreciate this one and it gives me a chance to change it up. You can’t go wrong no matter what toppings you choose(although I love just cheese!).
