It’s probably the best indian food I have ever eaten. The spices and breads are so profound and flavorful! After eating indian and sri lankan food all over NYC I can safely say this is actually better than all of it. The first truly remarkable meal I have had in a long time.

I can’t wait to go back here. I honestly don’t have too much experience with Indian food and this place blew me away! A bit pricey but totally worth it. The sauces and levels of flavor in this food is explosive! I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. It was cozy, easy parking, clean, beautiful décor, tasty, delicious food. I can’t wait to return and try more from their menu.

Great food! Was heading upstate and happened to see rhis place on Unilocal while trying to get some food and just had to stop here. Very good food with many options. I take off a star because it feels a little conjusted inside.

Amazing food there! I’m vegan and they always are very accommodating. You just have to call in advance that day for some dishes so they can adapt to a vegan version for you. Everything is super tasty!

It has been a while since we have been to Coriander. While the food was very good, the service was really disappointing. My friends and I had a reservation and arrived before any other parties in the restaurant. My biggest complaint is that two other parties arrived and also gave their orders. Both tables, no larger than our table, received their orders before us even though one of the tables arrived about 20 minutes after we did. The restaurant had absolutely no Riesling because of a change in vendor. I am not sure why the restaurant decided to not get a few cases from a different vendor, maybe a local vendor, but it was unusual. That was not a big deal, but it was one of several strikes. We order an appetizer which actually came fairly quickly and was really good, but then we spent about 20 minutes to 40 minutes waiting without any kind of acknowledgment of the long wait, until I said something. I said something after the second table, which again came in 20 minutes after us, got their food before us. The waitress told us it was just coming out, but yet we waited again. When I gestured to the hostess that we were still waiting, she went to the kitchen and our food soon arrived. When the food arrived, we were told there was a back up in the kitchen. However, we were the first to arrive in the restaurant, so I am not sure how kitchen could be backed up after its first-order. Then after we had completed our dinners, as I was still finishing my food, someone came to begin bussing the plates away from our table. There was no line, there were numerous tables open, so I’m not sure why they felt the need to rush us out of there when we spent almost an hour waiting for our food. On top of that, while we were talking and about midway through our bottle of wine, the waitress plopped our check on the table without our request to do so. We were not being disruptive, we were quite pleasant but assertive about the issue of time, so I considered the gesture of giving us our check before asking for it extremely rude. I was also a bit annoyed that the waitress we first spoke with steered us away from ordering a dish that could be made but was not on the menu, because she said it tasted very similar to a different dish on the menu. After my friend ordered the dish that was recommended, while tasty, it was not at all similar to the one that we had described. It really makes me sad that this restaurant has changed so much from what it was in New Rochelle, where the quality of the food and impeccable service made the restaurant shine. It may have been humble then, but that is what perhaps made it so good. The move to Larchmont has been fortunate ones for those who remember how great it was when it had another name and more humble roots.

Coriander is consistently a great dinner. It’s a cozy spot in the heart of Larchmont Village, with a casual vibe. There are plenty of delicious vegetarian dishes — love the cauliflower and Chana masala. The chicken with yogurt marinade is awesome, as is the chicken tikka masala. The owners and servers have always been friendly and accommodating.

Pretty decent Indian food — especially in Larchmont/Mamaroneck. We’ve ordered from here once or twice and been pleased and when I went with a small group on a weekday night it was pretty quiet — which made it nice for catching up. We ordered family style and really enjoyed the meal.

Love this restaurant for so many reasons! First of all, the food is out of this world. Their chicken tikka masala, chicken korma and that cauliflower appetizer are to die for. They have a fabulous wine list, and the staff is super nice and knowledgeable. Also– it’s a family run business, and they are always there– which to me makes a huge difference. It’s clear it’s a real labor of love.

I’m so happy there is great Indian food in Larchmont. My husband and I always leave with full stomachs and lots of leftovers, everything is so good that it is hard to choose just one thing. The staff is inviting and accommodating.

So sorry this place wasn’t better. Food is substandard for Indian. Went for lunch. Menu was extremely limited. Lunch came with soup that should have been called black pepper soup. That is all you could taste. If you want great Indian food go to Coromandel in New Rochelle. This place does not cut it.

My bf and I really love Indian food. So much so, that we make an effort to try every new Indian restaurant we stumble upon. Lucky for us, we recently discovered Coriander and now we’re absolutely hooked! First off, the space is gorgeous. It’s really intimate and upscale with unique details like a really grand and beautiful chandelier-type piece. The service was great from the start. Our waitress(I think her name was Paige?) was beautiful, efficient and really helpful when we asked questions about the menu. They’ve got a pretty extensive drink menu with creative cocktails, which to us at least, is a core component of any great meal. I tried a couple and my favorite was the lychee martini. Yum! For appetizers we tried the Shrimp Rangoli which was so, so tasty. I could seriously drink the sauce it came in, it was that good. We also tried the Lasooni Ghobi which was a cauliflower dish flavored with a tasty tomato sauce. As for the entrée, we both went for the Lamb Vindaloo. I can’t help it; I must order Vindaloo at every restaurant. If you’ve never had it, you should. Corianders preparation was perfectly spiced-perfect for scooping up with some garlic naan. Take it from a couple of self-proclaimed Indian food connoisseurs– Coriander is the real deal. We’ll definitely be back!

A lot of my friends rave about this place, so I had high hopes. Not sure if they had an off night, but it was«meh» at best. We probably sampled 6 – 8 different items, and several of the proteins were overcooked, which is a pet peeve of mine. Also the service was veryyy slow. Surprisingly busy for a tuesday evening, so maybe they weren’t expecting it? The edamame app with indian spices was quite good. The tacos were plain, and not flavorful. The shrimp app was overcooked to the point of being tough to chew. Lamb roganjosh was very good, flavorful and tender, as was the chicken malai kabab. The chicken within the biryani was overcooked and very dry. The beef/lamb kebab was OK, not great. Had some good flavor, but again — overcooked. The drinks were not bad, had some interesting combos. I’ll likely give them another shot before giving up on this place.

Excellent meal and service last night with my son(vegetarian mimosas, yogurt dip, very very peppery lentil soup, nan and paratha breads followed by the lime scented Alaskan salmon(told it was real not farm raised!) then we had white and blue black rice and a whole tandoori chicken as well as chicken tikka masala to take home to Mom! And the service was good if a bit slow overall. Loved the«Miami Music Festival“club music vibe. And I got a special interesting explanation of spices such as cardamom, mint and tumeric by the owner. Didn’t realize tumeric can cure a sprained ankle !!

Coriander serves up good Indian food with nice service and no-frills décor. Chicken korma was great, samosas meh, naan awesome! We went for a friends bday and they brought out a chocolate cake and sang! I would return to try some of their other dishes. On a side note, I like that they offer ipad menus with pictures because It makes me more comfortable ordering a new dish when I can see a preview first. Edit– I had to amend my review(and remove a star) when I looked in my take-home container and realized that they gave me no rice with my curry leftovers! How rude, rice is only like five cents to them.

Just went to the coriander in WHITEPLAINS and had a great experience. The décor is wonderful and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The drinks and beer selection was also extensive. We got the chicken tikka and paneer tikka and both were really good. The naan was also pretty great and flavorful. We would definitely come back again!

Delicious foods, the cauliflower appetizer is crunchy, full of flavor. The mango martini is a delightful surprise, we also really enjoyed the samosas, and their chutneys were so fresh and delicious! The place is nice and clean and the customer service is great. They need more vegan entrees, there was only one choice for us… :( If they make more vegan choices we will comeback every week!

Been hearing nothing but good things from friends, but for some reason delayed on getting here. Well, that mistake is now over… Coriander is the go to spot for Indian in Westchester and one of the best meals in the region in any category. Been to many Indian restaurants in NYC and London, and Coriander is on a par(if not exceeds) the best the big cities have to offer. Started with the Punjabi calamari, and now it will be hard to return to the Italian standard… lightly fried but not oily or dense, really addictive. The Aloo tikki was a fantastic and super flavorful vegetarian option. And finally the Goa’n mango chicken was best version of Korma I’ve had… incredibly delicious. And a super chill and friendly staff. Will be returning regularly.

It would take quite a place to make me forget about my beloved Bengal Tiger, which burned down in a fire several years ago. Since then I’ve searched high and low for quality Indian food that didn’t feel typical. When my mother recommended Coriander, I first tried it alone. I fell in love. Then, I brought a friend who had never eaten Indian. She fell in love. Then I brought my cousin’s wife, who was wary after one bad experience eating Indian. She fell in love. Then I brought my cousin, who basically only eats American and Italian food. He fell in love. (Are you noticing a trend yet?) The manager, Shaun, is extremely nice and almost always there, speaking with customers, and ensuring the restaurant is pristine. The wait staff is friendly and catering. But the food. Oh, the food is something else. You’ll notice that unlike virtually any other Indian restaurant, Coriander has no lunch buffet. Instead, it features a lunch menu with traditional(think chicken tikka masala and lamb vindaloo) and modern(think paneer tikka wrap and tandoori chicken salad) dishes. Lunch items comes with soup, salad, rice and naan. The food is delicious because it’s made with care and locally sourced. Shaun also takes great care with his menu, changing it seasonally to reflect the freshest and«best» ingredients of that time. One dish you must get is the Lasooni Ghobi, cauliflower slow looked in a tomato and garlic sauce over many hours. It’s incredible. Truly. Coriander has ruined other Indian places for me. I actually have no hesitation in saying it’s the best I’ve ever eaten … and they’ll. e opening a second location in White Plains later this year which will feature hookah! Supreme joy achieved!

Let me start off by saying that Coriander most definitely deserves 5 stars… it was our first time here(as well as having Indian food) with another couple(whos been there before) …iv known about Coriander for some time but never seemed to get around a pay a visit until my friend said«you should definitely try it, we love it! » .and so we did. they have a great way of introducing their menu right off your own Ipad, a clever way introducing technology to the mix and 1st time iv seen it done; aside from kiosk… the food by far is phenomenal. .amazing flavors, great portions.. . They have a variety of selections of wine(def. Try their reisling)… we started off with the chicken somosas .they were crispy and flavorful with 2 types of dipping sauces.. im better off saying they were like Indian Empanadas — just great! We also ordered the shrimp. def an award wining dish !!(Just Ask!). .. Our entrees were amazing, i had a chicken from their Indian BBQ(Tandoori) and my wife from their Curry. .. Our friends had lamb in a curry, as well as the chicken. And the bread, just on point… many people may think that the variety of spices in indian food is overpowering, but let me vouch that the chef knows how to balance the flavors of all the ingredients he uses in every dish… another plus that i noticed is they can accommodate to whatever dietary need you may have… especially Gluten Free(which is now becoming more common) and makes me super happy!!! What made the night even MORE special was their service… they were very attentive to every need, even accommodating some vegetables for our friends 1 year old daughter.. the owner Sushant was attentive as well, following up with us on our needs, explaining the dishes and the menu… he recommended several dishes for us new comers, explaining the difference between there spive levels,(which is great to know that ALL their dishes are customizable, MADE to ORDER) best phrase i can use … Overall, i highly recommend this restaurant ! Happy Eating!

Who knew the warmth and welcome of India was just down the road. It’s been a long time coming but eventually I would have tried it. I just wish I had been sooner! Coriander is a family run restaurant which feels like being invited to their home with such hospitality. They are also tech forward with menus on iPads that don’t alienate those who don’t know what a certain dish might be. A very nice and surprising touch. We happened to sit outside on a very pleasant evening where it’s quieter, thanks to it being packed at 9:30pm on a Saturday! But winter is coming so this won’t last long. As for food, my theory is, if you want to know how good a place is, try the chicken, and that’s what I did. I ordered the Reshmi kebab. Our table obviously got a number of dishes, which were all very good. Two things blew me away, the portion and the level of marinade that didn’t take away from the taste and texture of the meat, really well done! I was hooked at first bite. The paneer tikka was equally good. There’s a small bar area which is quite cozy to get some apps and drinks if you don’t manage to get a table. This way you can chat with the family too! As it gets colder I will return very soon for some lamb and a nice red wine and reminisce about the old country!
