This restaurant is now our favorite Indian-themed destination in Westchester. The unique blending of Indian/Chinese impressed all at our table. The traditional curries were better than good. The naan was perfectly done. We’ll be back.

The food at spice kitchen is exquisite! They offer a wide variety of traditional Indian food and some fusion dishes. We’ve eaten here several times and the staff is always pleasant, the food is outstanding and the atmosphere is beautiful. Highly recommend!

We moved into the neighborhood a few months ago, and Spice Kitchen has become one of our go-to restaurants when we want really great food in a beautiful, relaxing setting. We have loved Indian food for many years, but have trouble finding really great Indian food that has the complexity of flavor and aromas that to us signal great food in general, not just one type of cuisine. Every dish at Spice Kitchen lives up to this standard, even though I have to order my dishes on the mild side. My husband can still enjoy the hotter dishes! Make sure you include the Coconut Naan in your order, if you are lucky enough to arrive on a day when it is on the specials list.

House special kebah is a great choice; chicken so tender. Tikka sauce has a good kick. Definitely for spice lovers. Will come back again

Very good food, staff is so nice. I used my groupon for this food I have never ate Indian food but it was worth it. I will definitely come back.

So tasty, so crispy, such a good buy! I welcome Spice Kitchen to Mamaroneck and have been back three times. The food is outstanding: the nan is perfectly puffed, the curries are tangy. The lunch buffet is wonderful, and there’s a garden out back for summer dining.

This opened after I moved away from the area, my go-to had always been Rani Mahal but when a friend wanted to meet up we decided to try Spice Kitchen. Was looking for the menu online and stumbled upon a Groupon which we were able to use that night. Arrived around 6 and were the only people in the restaurant, inside at least. It sounded like there was a party or 2 sitting outside in the back. Waiter was not the most friendly or helpful, my friend had questions about some items on the menu and he couldn’t answer them and didn’t seem that eager to go ask the chef. We started with my fave app, Gobi Manchurian. No complaints, it hit the spot. I got the korma which is my favorite, my friend tried a new to her dish that I forget the name of. I though both were just OK– I did like that they use some thigh meat which is more flavorful but the sauces didn’t wow me. They actually reminded me a little of the simmer sauces you can get yourself at the grocery store. There was a little mis-communication about our Naan, it came with the Groupon but it didn’t come out with the rest of our entrees, I guess I didn’t ask for it even though the waiter knew we were using the Groupon and seemed familiar with the terms when we were ordering from the wine options. Overall the décor is really nice and the food A-OK but I think I still like Rani Mahal better.

When we moved from NYC, access to good cultural cuisine was one thing we expected to be sacrificing. But today’s lunch at this relatively new Indian restaurant was a very pleasant surprise. We got to sample many dishes at their nicely varied buffet, and I have to say, they were all excellent — better than some Indian food I use to eat in the city. I’m very glad to have them in our village center.

Came for dinner with my wife. As always, the food was great and it tastes just like it would in India. Love this restaurant. 5 stars all the way.

This was surprisingly delicious Indian fare. I had been skeptical because I didn’t think anything could top my favorite place in the city, but I’ll definitely be back. I love the entrée«wheel» that allows you to customize your meal. The butter chicken was delicate and absolutely scrumptious. The goat khadai was delicious(and they have goat, which is awesome), the veggie korma was incredibly addictive, and the mango chicken was really fantastic as well. We had ordered it for our kids, but kept swiping spoonfuls of the sauce. The onion kulcha was also a favorite at our table. We were dining with some vegetarians who said that this restaurant did a better job of having multiple veggie-friendly offerings than many other options in Westchester. It’s also a sign of authentic, quality food when there are lots of Indian diners in an Indian restaurant. This restaurant could be incredibly solid if they sorted out just a couple things. Most notably, some of their wait staff were clearly inexperienced and made rookie mistakes. The manager/owner(?) did everything right though and seemed to be making up for the inexperienced staff. If the wait staff were as good as she was this would be a five-star restaurant because the food is great.

This is a great new addition to westchester’s relatively small collection of «good» Indian restaurants. First off parking is very easy. There is an entrance in the front and back of the restaurant which makes it easy for those of you who hate parking on the ave. The décor of this restaurant is great! It’s very welcoming and the art work on the walls are beautiful. The neon lights in the back are a bit awkward to me though… On to the food: 1. The cocktails are great. 2. The tandoori chicken wings are a must order 3. The chili chicken was good but I would’ve liked it to be spicier 4. This place has goat!!! Awesome! The goat biryani was very tasty. It was by no means a traditional biryani but it was something that I would highly recommend. A few comments to the management: 1. Please add some more indian Chinese entrees like a fried rice :) 2. Folks in lower Westchester will love your restaurant if they knew about it… It doesn’t really pop up on Unilocal unless you’re in the mamaroneck area. 3. Do you guys deliver?

Spice Kitchen is an okay place for Indian food, not the best I’ve had. Location is not that good cause finding parking is a pain. Servers were friendly but didn’t seem to know how to work there tablets to place our order at first so that wasn’t to much of a pain but they should know how to before actually working. However the inside was really nice. I like how they design the inside. Overall I gave it a 3 star.

Had one of the worst dining experiences ever: No heat… every one was in winter jackets but we were told they were working on it Ordered lentil soup(as I was freezing)’ for an appetizer and got white rice in a milkey butter broth. When I questioned the waiter, he told me I should have order the real lentil soup, which was an entire. The main course ok, very salty, and no rice served as a side. The desert was just awful. Kulfi should taste of pistachios, which it did not. The special orange kulfi was nothing more than frozen orange slices. Priced at 8.00, and a complete rip off. The service was terrible. We had to ask a Many times for our order. As we left, the heat was still not on. STAYAWAY.

Fantastic food great service and comfortable trendy setting. Menu was just perfect. Cocktail and wine list was full. The whole experience was great. We’ve eaten here several times and would say it’s one of the best Indian restaurants in NYC.

Great service, everyone was very nice and attentive. The shrimp malai was very good and the mint chutney is my favorite every time. The lamb in red wine sauce special was great, I can’t wait til they have it the next time. All in all it’s a enjoyable restaurant that I plan on coming back to.

I love Indian food, so I was happy that this place opened. The other Indian spot in town is mediocre and tired feeling. The décor is really nice and the food was on point! Service was great as well as were prices. I would definitely come back.

The décor is impressive here. This restaurant is one of the coolest looking places in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, the owners didn’t put as much effort into the food, and certainly not into the service. I walked in here expecting an extraordinary meal and left disappointed. We ordered an appetizer of eggplant chips. They were delicious, but they came with the exact same dipping sauces as the pappadums. I wasn’t too happy that they charged by the piece for naan either. That was not the worst of it. We had ordered our appetizer and entrees all at once. The server had a little electronic device that she took our orders with. It looked like she was taking the order. We received our appetizer. Eventually someone came along and put down large plates in front of us as if to indicate our main courses would come out soon. Nothing happened. Other parties came in and sat down and were receiving their dinners before we were. Our server came by and asked if we wanted to order anything else. This made no sense since we hadn’t been given our entrees yet, we certainly weren’t looking to order dessert. After more people came into the restaurant and were being served long before we were, we finally asked our server where our entrees were. Well, you should have seen how clueless the entire staff was about the fact that we had ordered dinner quite some time ago. Why exactly did these people think we were sitting there all this time with plates in front of us? They were all apologetic and moved quickly to fix the issue. I give them credit for that. Our food finally did come out of the kitchen. Was it good? Yes. Was it any different from any other local Indian restaurant? No. It was all pretty typical stuff. With just a few exceptions, there isn’t much on this menu that you haven’t seen or tasted before. At the end of the evening when we received the bill, I had hoped that maybe they would try to make their error up to us. Maybe they might comp us the second glasses of wine that we never would have had if we hadn’t been sitting there so long. A little compensation can go a long way in making up for your own dumb mistakes. Nope. No compensation. In fact they almost overcharged us. If you want Indian food, go down the street to Rani Mahal. The décor might not be as luxurious, but the food is just as good and customer service there is always topnotch.

We stopped here on our way from LaGuardia airport to Connecticut and oh boy, we couldn’t have picked better. We arrived shortly before closing time for lunch and asked the owners if they were still taking customers for dine-in. They welcomed us to sit and enjoy our meal, and enjoy it we did! The staples, chicken tikka masala and garlic naan were fantastic, but the goat biryani stole the limelight. The meat was perfectly tender and the dish presented beautifully! One of the best I’ve had. Desserts: We had the kheer and mango kulfi. I judge a restaurant by how well they can make their kheer and few usually live up to the expectation. Spice Kitchen blew those expectations out the window with the perfect texture and sweetness. The owners were fun to chat with and overall, we had a great meal. I would definitely return if in the neighborhood.
