What a fun surprise, a good veggie burger in Laredo! Yay! I don’t have to be left out when I come visit family! I think this place is new-ish and I’m wondering if they are also in the Austin area. My niece and I had veggie burgers and they were so yummy! It isn’t anything super spectacular and I’m sure they aren’t made from scratch, but it was tasty, especially made with ketchup, pickles, lettuce, and tomatoes. I was hungry so I didn’t even try to decipher or analyze the ingredients. On the other hand my dad had the Wayback double meat classic with grilled onions and a black and white milk shake. It was apparently magnificent considering the mmmmmms and ooooohs coming from his direction. At one point my dad may have declared that Wayback burgers were better than Whataburger(although I don’t eat burgers from Whataburger, I thought this to be slightly blasphemous). I’m not sure what was in that shake, but he said it was amazing. My sister had the plain double meat and cheese and said it was also very good. Everyone agreed that the buns were incredibly delicious. The fries were also fantastic! So golden and crispy, I couldn’t get enough. We also had a couple of sauces, one was mayo and hot sauce, the other was maybe like blue cheese and hot sauce. I don’t know, both were great, but I’m a sucker for sauces for my fries. A quick note on customer service: Incredible. We had actually placed the order at about noon for pick up at 2:30 pm, after our bike ride. When we arrived, the guy at the register mentioned that the burgers has been made at about 1:40 and had been sitting there since then. They happily offered to remake them and apologized for the misunderstanding regarding the pick up time. What a wonderful staff! The burger was so good I actually wanted to go again this morning, but they weren’t open yet. I’ll definitely go back.
