Real food, always hot… but they constantly run out of the most popular food items at lunch time! Chicken and fish should always be ready and not standing around 10 to 20 minutes for them to cook more. Some people only get 30 minutes for lunch!

Can not believe people eat the stuff they serve here. Educate yourself people! Here is a head start. Look up the definitions of GMO and USDA Organic. Better yet, look up the movie«Food Inc.». It is on Netflix, Hulu, might even have clips or the entire movie online somewhere for free. Watch it. You deserve to know what you are really being served.

I normally only go for breakfast. But I make sure I go right at 7:01am when they open on Fri, Sat or Sun. That time of morning there is just about 5 people in there and I no lines and plenty of food. I went after 9:30am a few times in the past and it was a HORRIBLE experience. They kept running out of eggs and had people waiting forever just to get eggs. The omelet line was about 20 deep. Can’t get an omelet and you can’t get eggs. You can tell the manager about items missing at the food bar and his only consistent answer is «it’s coming out very soon» and we continue to wait. It’s get very crowded on Sunday mornings with the church crowds. After 9am consider ihop about a mile away, save yourself some stress

Disgusting!!! 45-minutes wait to get an Omelette. Only 1 chef on Labor Day. The line stretched to the back of the restaurant and the manager could care less.

My experience at your restaurant, I was totally DISGUSTED with the entire dining experience to be totally honest. First we sat by the ice cream machine, where we were met with dust flying from the waitress sweeping the floor while customers were dining, so we moved to another location. Finally we go to the food bar to get something to eat, but there was NOFOOD, maybe because it was all over the floor due to children fixing their own plates, dropping food everywhere, the place was a PIGSTY now granted it was lots of folks celebrating graduation and it was busy that night and I thought about that, but my previous dining experience there was for my sons 8th grade gradation, it was also packed but the restaurant was managing the crowds, plenty of food, desserts, etc… on this night I saw people lined at the bar just to get their first plate, I made my way from the far left by the salad down the line to the deserts, and the first run I got 2 pieces of chicken that had just ironically come out, and boy were they YUMMY, I tried to get the hush puppies as the were coming out, but OHNO the cook spilled them in the water that warms the food, Oh yea he left them to… never the entire night did I see sweet potatoes my favorite of you’lls, I was tempted to get the ribs, but was turned off by the heavyset repair guy that was leaning into the ribs, showing his carpenters crack YUCK, did I say he was sweating profusely, it took me a minute to see that he was working on the grill or oven, but why during dining hours, turned off, I headed back to my seat with those two pieces of chicken and some cold Mac and Cheese, it was a lot, but cold as HELL… to discover the other 2 diners had no food on their plates either, so I waited for 10 – 15 min to return to see if any other foods had made it to the bar and I was met with a line again I see several people waiting for chicken and other things to carry out and was told the waits were 30 – 45 minutes for fresh foods, in the meantime the food that is being put out is half cooked, yeast rolls doughy, hush puppies underdone there were some veggies so after going trough the running back and fourth I got a salad, pickles OLD, lettuce wilted with lots of water sitting in the bowls there were no toppings, so I was through, done, so angry I got what looked eatable, because some of the food looked like people were experiencing in the kitchen with their own recipes, the deserts were up there so long under the heat lamps, they started looking like PROP food? I returned to my seat. Never did I see a manager come out to see about people’s dining experience or to check to see how everything is running, poor Management, I wanted my $ 45.73 back, maybe the show UNDERCOVERBOSS could do a pop up at some of you’lls establishments so you can see how things are being POORLY run… oh last but not least wiping table after table, sticking your damp rag back into a plastic bag and stuffing it in your apron is NOT sanitary at all. Sincerely GG «Hungry Diner»

Good for what it offers. Food is decent. Staff(select ones) is friendly. Place is always packed with running children and unattentive parents. Chef that grills steak is rude– won’t smile or great you. If he does say something it’s «whut chu want». Cashier guy with the locks is awful as well. Very rude towards senior couple in front of us. They did nothing wrong. Overall if you just want to be fat, it’s an ok place to go. If you’re in for a more rewarding meal and experience, head to Kobe’s. They’re just a short walk away.

I don’t ever voluntarily choose to come here, but only do when I’ve got my crew of 6 boys and I need an inexpensive place to feed these hungry heathens… LOL. The food is just ok and could definitely be better. Its always so packed in here and I believe the only reasons my boys come here is for the Cotton candy.

(Came in on 1÷17÷15) Firstly, I know this is a buffet place so I Don’t expect to like Every food item nor to receive 4⁄5 star dinning! What do expect is some quality food selections, & being tho it’s a buffet environment, Clean food stations & overall dinning area & Clean Restroom! We couldn’t find a table because so many of them was not cleaned, the one that was, was poorly cleaned with food in chairs & floor! The bathroom was so smelly & dirty! Tissue all over floors, urine & I don’t know what else! We was seated in far back side by restrooms & you can smell the restroom by walking back to your seat in which is very close to salad bar #Yuck!(But I seen staff sitting around near the restroom, I guess they’re ok with the smell) The staff was nice & friendly :) The food was not good! I’m trying to think one thing I liked… I didn’t like Anything!!! The mac&cheese was like Soup!!! How can the rolls be hard?(The rolls that Golden Corral have) anyone that been to a GOOD Golden Corral know the ones I’m talking about! Again: the SMELL coming from restroom did something to my tastebuds :/ Basically about $ 80 buck wasted for me, hubby & our 3teens! The kids liked the ice cream & cotton candy! 2 stars for parking & staff! FYI: it’s unsanitary! CLEANTHEMDIRTY A** RESTROOMS #SERIOUSLY!

Simply put, this restaurant is in my top 3 of the worst places to eat. I went there for the breakfast buffet since I was nearby. I expected it to be the same quality of Golden Corral I visited back in Colorado. I was more than just wrong. The food was horrible — it was very very bad, except things that couldn’t go wrong such as packaged items(yogurt) or fruits. Some food didn’t get rotated enough so it was so dry and stale — most of the foods were cold specially hash browns. After eating there, I immediately had stomachache, and had to take some meds to help with my digestion. I will never recommend any of my friends to go here.

Good home-style food and family atmosphere is what I get every time! No matter what type of good you like, you’ll be satisfied. Services and managers go out of their way to make your experience a good one.

Fun spot to go to with the family, especially if you have a group of picky eaters. There is a vast selection to choose from. Prices are very reasonable. Common sense knowledge — you get what you pay for. I do recommend their yams n ribs. My only complaints is that they need to keep the trays more filled and warmer. They do tend to leave the food out a little too long. Lastly, My last complaint and only real complaint is they have extremely poor condition restrooms — filthy and doors do not have lock handles and lack of soap to wash your hands and get those ribs off your fingers lol. Otherwise, most staff is very pleasant.

For the life of me I cannot understand why this place is so popular. Lord forbid if you choose to patronize it on a weekend… it’s absolute insanity. Sunday afternoon, I make my way there and the line is already touching the door; it’s moving, but rather slowly, so it takes about 15 minutes to make our way to the cashier and get seated. First off, the prices are ridiculous for what you’ll receive(and they jack them up on the weekend, basically charging the dinner price ALLDAY!) so two people, with drinks is easily running you $ 30. The food itself, though there is a ton of it, is mediocre at best. But be prepared to fight for this mediocrity! On more than one occasion I was bumped, knocked out the way, or pushed for some food that I was in no rush to get in the first place. The staff was courteous and friendly but it just didn’t seem to be enough of them. The food stations were constantly riddled with spills and debris and the waitress for our table was barely able to provide us with drink refills since she was so overwhelmed. I understand that buffets can be hit or miss and this one is definitely a miss. Next time I’ll search for another option.

It wouldn’t be fair if I compared Golden Corral to all of the other restaurants that I’ve been to. So, I will give the benefit of comparing it to buffets only. With that said… it was less than mediocre. Firstly, the only edible non-poultry selection they had was the pot roast. It was Sunday afternoon, and all they had was pot roast? There was measly, over-breaded popcorn shrimp, but that surely was not an entrée dish. The steak was blood red and not even seasoned. The rest of the food was«Meh. I’ve experienced better». Hence, the two stars. The service at the entry counter was not the greatest, but the servers in the dining room were courteous. My take: save your $$ and go elsewhere… possibly outside of this run down shopping center.

About a 3.5: I know that Golden Corral is a chain and it’s a buffet. However, I think this is one of the better ‘buffets’(compared to Great American and Old Country). If you are in the mood to stuff your face at a cheap cost, Golden Corral can be an option. I really think this is the best location in the DC metro area; it seems as if this place is extremely busy and is always packed to the gills! There is always a large group of families/friends here, and the line is usually out the door. I like this as that means the food is always being made, put out, and is ‘fresh.’ The manager on site seems to be quite organized and on top of things — making sure that the entrees/sides that are winding down is being replaced and is always filled. I usually stick to their pulled pork(with a side of bbq sauce; ask from one of the grill guys), fried chicken, pot roast, candied yams(with the small marshmallows), the chocolate/caramel fondue, and their mini strawberry pies. The pulled pork is great, and I love it with the extra dousing/dipping of the bbq sauce I get in the soup containers(HA). The fried chicken is cooked all the way through, and the skin is juicy and crispy and well-seasoned. The pot roast is delicious, as the hunk of roast is fork tender; you can add gravy to that, if you want, or dip it in A1 sauce. The candied yams are not overly sweet, but has a nice balance of the cinnamon and the slight sweetness from the lovely-colored marshmallows. I am digging their chocolate and the caramel fondue, and I appreciate the fact that the marshmallows available are not stale, but fresh and fluffy! The small strawberry pies are delicious, as I can eat that strawberry filling all day(it’s kind of a European strawberry torte filling/topping). Service is a little slow, and we did have to wait a while for refills, so that can be a hit-or-miss. +pulled pork(with bbq sauce) +pot roast +candied yams +fried chicken +chocolate/caramel fondue +mini strawberry pies

I regularly visit this particular Golden Corral. This is the closest one to my residence. However, I make certain to go near closing time and I usually get my food to go. This Golden Corral, which is inside The Boulevard at the Capital Centre, stays pack mainly during the weekend. Since I do NOT like to wait when it comes to food, I would NEVER even think of going here, for example, on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. During those times, the line will easily stretch around the building. As I mentioned in the last paragraph, I usually get my food to go. I love pretty much most of the food that they serve. I love their fried chicken, broccoli, string beans, turkey, rice, pork chops, and spaghetti. I cannot forget about their salad too. Just know that everything I listed is not even half of what they serve. Nevertheless, I cannot forget about their great dinner rolls. I usually fill up my container with LOTSOFFOOD. Also, I will normally get a piece of apple pie, or maybe a piece of pumpkin pie with the whip cream on the top. When it comes time to pay, I never pay more than $ 12 for an amount of food that would cost $ 20 or more elsewhere. When getting food to go, Golden Corral will weigh it on a scale and charge you base on the weight. Do not expect a classy experience. Like other reviewers have stated, this is a sit-down buffet spot in Prince George’s County. However, I never, ever have any problems with the restaurant staff or food. There will always be a select few customers who will get very loud, disorderly, and«ratchet» at times. When I experience that, I remember where I am. That makes getting the food to go a better thing to do.

NEVERAGAIN! I have tried this GC probably about 10 times and out of all those times the food has always been just ok. However, I have realized that they have gone down tremendously each time. Customer service is just HORRIBLE! The steak is hardly ever ready and when you ask for medium they NEVER have it. You always have to get well done or just«rubber» cause that’s how tough it is. I just simply do not like this location and will drive to VA if I have to in order to avoid this place. Also, there is almost always a line at this place and for the life of me I just can’t figure out why! *Proceed with Caution*
