Publix Super Markets

Disgusting service and presentation at the deli. Food everywhere. When asked for new tomatoes I was told we need to use these first. Publix standard is lacking at this location.

I have been shopping at Publix for a long time and have always found that the customer service there is greater than any other grocery store I have ever been to. I have only been to the Publix on West Bay a handful of times because I just moved to the area. Learning a new store can always be frustrating, especially once you are used to a layout of one store and find that the next one isn’t quite the same. I have found the store associates here to be really helpful. When I look in an aisle that I would think an item should be and can’t find it or if I am unfamiliar with an item I know I can always ask and will be walked right to that item, not just pointed in the right direction or told it is on aisle 5 or maybe 7. This store has been no exception to this experience. It has also not been difficult to ever find someone to ask for help either which is always comforting.
This last time I was there I was looking to see if there was any soy or coconut yogurt, since I have recently cut dairy from my diet. Publix has a plethora of yogurt options so it can be tedious to try and search for a specialty item like that. A gentleman stocking the yogurt asked if I needed any help and when I told him what I was looking for he said he thought he remembered there being one brand that carried it. He helped me look for it and when he found it and there were none on the shelf he looked to see if there were any in stock at all in the back. Unfortunately when he found them in the back they were in damages, but he let me know that they would be getting more in the next day. He was really sweet and really helped look for this item and was extremely knowledgeable, even though Dairy wasn’t even his department, he was just helping out there. This is probably the best thing about Publix, the lengths the associates go to help you and always with a great attitude is why I continue to shop there.

I know prices are going up everywhere, but the rate they’re increasing at Publix is ridiculous. Prices never go up just 10 cents at a time, it’s usually 30 cents or more, and the increases are frequent, every couple of weeks or so. In many cases their own brand is now more expensive than national brands, which doesn’t make sense. This store is clean and the service is friendly, but I refuse to buy something that cost $ 1.00 less just 4 months ago. Albertson’s is a cheaper alternative, except Publix just bought most of the Albertson’s stores in Florida, so with less competition around, expect to pay even more as time goes by.
