This is my video home field– even deluged with on line treats I LOVE Betty’s incredible selection of off beat treasures. After years living in England this is the only place I can find all of the best Scandinavian and European productions. Betty and Chelsea and Keith are all wonderful and love film. Try it. Betty’s is addictive.

Just the best! My kids and I love this place and enjoy the old school ease of renting a few videos for the weekend. Great selection of movies and TV series. They are so fair with late fees if we are late in getting them back. Love the yellow «winner» gum ball machine that actually won us a free movie rental one time.

In the days of on-​demand and streaming, video stores have to adapt to survive. Bette’s is such an example. There is shelf after shelf of independent and foreign films as well as the latest new releases. Good place to browse for something you wouldn’t find many other places. Staff are nice and helpful.

Love this place. Bette’s a big fan of British film and TV — whether contemporary or from the past. Huge selection. Our kid loves picking out family movies — it’s a treat for him that’s so much better than going through the clunky Comcast TV menus…
Also, the staff are really flexible on pricing — they knock down late fees to near nothing…

This place is pretty good, an example of what a good brick and mortar video store can do. The days of the corporate video rental store may be over, but speciality stores like this can thrive. There is something to be said about being able to browse and instantly get the movie you’re in the mood for, as opposed to waiting a couple days for it to come via netflix.
The selection is my favorite, I’ve discovered many british series through them, and there are a lot of weird movies I hadn’t even heard of before like Darkman and Old Boy. It’s also nice having the store’s owner running the shop almost every day.
It’d be nice if they moved to a larger place but Marin rent is so ridiculous it probably isn’t viable. And it is in bad need of a carpet job from later than the eighties, as a whole it’s a nice little shop though.

We have been renting movies from this shop for many years and we have always appreciated Bette and the other consistent employees under the Video Droid name. We get wonderful movie recommendations at reasonable prices. The store is always willing to work with us when searching for hard-​to-​find films. Everyone working there has a unique viewpoint to offer. It is definitely the place to be for an avid movie lover.
