Love this store! I can always rely on finding items that are difficult to find anywhere else. I’ve not ever had a bad experience from this store and find the sales attendants very sweet and knowledgeable. From the clothes to the accessories, the quality speaks for itself.

I purchased a baby boy gift on Dec 31 and all went great(the sales clerk was great); after coming back a few weeks later to exchange gift; the item was on sale. I found a similar item for the exact same price and assumed that it would be an even exchange. I was told now that the«old item» was on sale(reduced 40%) and I would be give only 60% credit and owed an additional $ 16 for the new item. What a bunch of crap! I paid full price for the previous item; the owner was adamant and in a condescending manner said if I had kept the receipt I would have known the return policy. Also as if to imply I had not purchased the item? I said it’s not a return it’s an exchange, the tags were on, perfect condition still in gift box; she even acknowledged that their clothing ran small and was not surprised the 1 month old item did not fit. I asked her to look up my purchase which she did so my missing receipt was moot; the gift receipt was in the card at my friends place; I offered my credit card as proof of purchase to compare to her records. I find this kind of practice not only unacceptable but to be blunt STUPID and a first class RIPOFF! Why loose a customer for a ridiculous issue; she said it was«common practice» in retail for this to occur. I’m sorry but in all my years shopping for various things, I don’t’ ever recall having this happen to me. I called a few friends who are the proverbial shopaholics and small business owners and they are equally appalled. What a dumb thing to argue about with a customer. The sum total was $ 16 which she seem to think was OK to «DOUBLE» charge me. I paid $ 41 dollars for the first item; tried to return it for an item that cost the same $ 41; and she wanted an additional $ 16 as she marked down the 1st item since my purchase. Needless to say I will never return to this store; I will tell all of my friends and family about my experience and for those of you who need to return anything; make sure you have your receipt; and don’t return anything that is now on sale or you will be paying an additional charge. Evidently this store needs to make extra profits off the backs of their customers; what stupid policy and what a stupid store owner for being willing to loose customers and business over this asinine practice.

This is my 1st and only 5 star rating, but it goes out to Emilie at Poppy for incredible customer service(that goes above and beyond) I called yesterday to check on sizing for baby gift we received and Emily helped me find a larger size(one left) and when I explained I might not make it until weekend after next she offered to come to our house(in SF) and do the exchange on Monday — seriously impressive! I didn’t know customer service like this was still alive… I look forward to my next trip to Larkspur Landing to check out Poppy in person and will spread the good word.

I think I enjoy shopping for children’s clothes more than I enjoy shopping for myself. I love a well curated children’s clothing store and this store really hits the mark. On a recent visit I picked up some shoes and socks for my son. The layout is super accessible and kid friendly, the shop keeper was friendly and helpful, and the selection is a good mix of classic, cute, and hip.

Friendly service and a nice shopping environment makes this store pleasant, but watch out for high prices! Sometimes it seems like I am getting my money’s worth, but other times can be a bit shocking. It’s nice to find items here made in the USA. They usually have a very good selection of fashionable baby clothing, and our son looks extra cute in photos thanks to Poppy store.

The Country Mart is a nice place to shop and the Poppy Store fits right in. However, you better take your child in and be sure the clothing fits because their exchange policy is very tight unlike most hgh-end stores. Buying for your child and discovering it’s the wrong size requires an immediate exchange or you’re out of luck.

I love this store. The clothes are gorgeous and desirable. The design and décor is clean. The merry-go-round out front is genius. The staff is super friendly. Every time I pop in after lunch at Marin Brew on Sundays I find wants… lately the dolls, scarves and little goodies at the front desk. I’ve purchased several gifts here and the free gift wrap is so nice. Please visit this store… Marin Country Mart is undergoing a revival, lots of new stores, restaurants, food trucks on Sundays, farmers market on Saturdays, fish pond… the free Santa photos over the holidays so cool.

I was in Poppy Store recently, and have to say had an amazing experience. The Manager, Amy spent an hour helping me, and talking me thru what Poppy carried. I really appreciated that she didn’t direct me towards the most expensive things in this beautiful shop, but also pointed out the well edited items in my price range. From the moment I stepped foot in the shop until i walked out, she offered a wonderful experience and I have told all my friends about it.

There aren’t many places left in Marin for really nice kids’ clothing & Poppy certainly takes the cake. Petit Bateau, Papo d’ Anjo & other well known brands of European clothes, footwear, swimwear & toys. No designs & construction are better & for something special(baby gift, special event or just some very fortunate boy or girl/baby or child), it’s worth the money. Adult galoshes, too & in robin’s egg blue. Oh la la! Poppy’s clothes are worthy of heirlooms. There were two women working when I visited & also the tweets(real, live bird kind) of their caged feathered friends. The first salesperson was not warm in the least & seemed annoyed that my kid was playing with the toys that were obviously designated for visiting children. She also didn’t ask if I needed anything & every time I approached to request some help, it seemed she needed to head in the opposite direction.(I was wearing deodorant, so it wasn’t due to stink!). Luckily, the second with a lovely British accent appeared & provided some fabulous customer service. Poppy has a small, but great selection of some of my most favorite books & some very fun toys & accessories(as well as sweets!) displayed with style. I left with a perfect solution to a challenging purchase & am very impressed with the high-end inventory. You really do get what you pay for… & you’ll get to carry it away in the store’s signature complimentary reusable tote.
