Spectacular! We both had the 6 oz. Prime rib. Delicious! Perfect size for lunch. It was cooked to perfection and was absolutely tender. We will be back.

We went to have lunch at this location last Saturday. We had a coupon for free lunch or dinner entry up to $ 25.00 with a purchase of a lunch or dinner entry. When we gave our server the coupon, he told us he would have to verify he could use it because they can’t accept the coupons on holidays. It wasn’t a holiday, it was graduation weekend. My husband ordered the prime rib, and I ordered a ribeye, both under $ 25. We also ordered my daughter a child meal, which was $ 9.00. The server later returned telling us that his manager said that we could use the coupon, but she would put it towards my daughters meal, not one of the steaks. We were a little surprised because the child meal is not considered an entry, according to the server. My husband asked to speak to the manager, and said we would go ahead and cancel the child’s meal, she would just share my meal. The server left and went to get the manager. When he returned he said the manager changed her mind and that she would put the coupon towards one of the steaks, and she would not come to talk to my husband. The server was great, he was very nice and professional. The food was not as good as I had expected it to be. I ordered my steak medium and it came just a little more cooked than rare, and the taste was a bit plain. Disappointed to say the least.

Ordered a medium rare prime rib. Came out a little undercooked to my taste and the kitchen have to re-grilled the steak. The steak is a little un-inspiring and nothing to write home about. Waitress is very helpful and included Salad Bar has soup, veggies and ton of goodies.

I don’t know why they received anything less than a 4 star. I was pleased with my meal. I travel a lot for work and I am glad I ate here. I would eat here again any day. The ribs were good and the salad bar too. Don’t trust the reviews. The service and environment was good too. I am giving it a 5 star to help these sad reviews.

Its been a while since I have dined at CB. In short, this place has the best salad bar in town, but not meat. For a steakhouse Its a shame that seasoning is not in the kitchen. I say this because the food is bland. The two rating is being kind this time around.

Great food. Great drinks. Great prices. Great service! We went in for dinner and sat at the bar. I drink patron, lime juice and soda water, which was perfectly done each time. I enjoyed the blackened catfish. Salad bar had great options and was very fresh. My boyfriend had a steak which was cooked to a perfect medium rare. No complaints at all and can’t wait to go back.

I had the prime rib prepared by angels themselves! Tender and juicy, traveling over 1,000 miles this has been the best meal from a long journey. Our waiter Nicky was excellent as well. I will be back here again when I’m in Las Cruses

Awesome service! Steaks are probably the best here in Las Cruces! Salad bar has a lot of different and fresh options! Hubby had prime rib and I had the rib eye, both made to perfection! We had crew brûlée as dessert and it was prob the best I have had! Definitely a nicer upscale place to eat out in our smaller town! Lunches here are awesome too! Highly recommend this place!

The steak was poor, got the sirloin(based on the special symbol most menus have next to their better food items) and it was tough, although, it did maintain some juciness. The mushrooms and onions I ordered as a topping were extremely scarce and sautéed quality was disappointing. I am very offended that those items cost me an extra $ 3. Could’ve done it all much better and for much cheaper at home. Now for the not so bad. The salad bar quality was OK, the variety in the salad bar was good, this is their redeeming factor. The mashed potatoes were homemade and done alright, I’d eat those again; wish they served two scoops instead of a small single. The server was sweet and brought drinks out in a timely manner.

Ok, my BFF& I stopped here while in Law Cruces. Love their salad bar. I’m just eating the salad bar. The food was fresh & very clean. The cabbage & beef soup was outstanding that I had 2 cups! The salad bar had outstanding selections that we went back twice!

Food and service are always good. Tried an bacon wrapped jalapeño stuffed shrimp. I will say they were amazing I could eaten just that for dinner. They were amazing and of course how can anything wrapped in bacon be bad.

How the mighty have fallen. Waited nearly 10 minutes for a server. Folks behind us had waited even longer.“something to drink” followed by «need some id». Great — a overpriced I hop. Another 5 minutes — no water or anything. Wife says it’s not worth the wait, so we leave. On the way out, I ask to see the manager, server running by says«I wish I could find him too». Manager was unimpressive in his poor excuses. Doesn’t take a genius to figure out why they are half empty, but Texas Roadhouse is on a wait.

Arrived Sunday eve around 8 pm. Only a few customers. Empty bar. Sat in dining room booth. Very sweet server. Appealing(but noticeably dusty) décor was rustic and interesting. Satisfactory salad bar. But VERY sad stuffed prime rib special. That meat was ever so disappointing especially after dining at the Pecan Grill and Brewery the night before. Check their reviews: P. Yum! Go there! This prime rib cut was overdone and overall awful; why do that to a prime rib? I tried to chew it — no good. I had to send it back and it was taken off bill. I dislike having to do that. Very kind server. Not her fault. If looking for steakhouse go to Pecan Grill nearby. They know how to do it all right!

If I could give it less one star I would. This place is terrible. The food is actually gross. Not just bad — it’s gross! My wife is vegetarian and was the only one able to finish her meal, a salad. A «steak house» should be able to make a French dip sandwich and chicken fried steak. Right? Nope. And it’s expensive. We spent $ 50 for two lunches and a salad bar for my wife. Stay away from this place.

Went for my birthday… I ordered chicken teriyaki… yeah don’t order that… my girlfriend ordered a 20 $ new York stake… better off going to Golden corral for a better steak. not dry at all yumm yumm steak there… but got free fried ice cream which was the only good they brought to the table. but gotta say the salad bar was fresh and delicious. But it was not worth the bill.

Driving through town and was looking for a solid meal. Found one here. Ribeye steak cooked perfectly and a salad bar that complemented the meal. Very good service — at the table at the right moments.

It used to be that if you wanted a piece of good prime rib in Las Cruces, it was a «no brainer » You went to Cattle Baron. Things have changed. the parking lot is emptier. Prices have gone up. Quality has gone down. I ordered the rare prime rib — 8 oz. kIt was so tough, I could stand my knife up in the meat! when a manager finally came over, he offered to «make an adjustment«on the bill. instead of removing the item, he took off five dollars. Poor choice and chintzy. We won’t return. BTW my wife’s catfish was excellent. Good PR trumps bad food. A more generous accommodation for an uneaten piece of prime rib would have been appreciated.
