Really liked the ambience in this restaurant and our waiter was very nice. Overall the experience was pleasant due to those two things. We got dumpling appetizer and the bottom of the dumplings were burned. Was disappointed a chief would let those be served like that. We overlooked it. Our salad and meals were delicious. We ended our meal with coffee to pump us up for gambling. Coffee was served by waiter in a beautiful silver coffee pot, but it was cold. The burnt dumplings and cold coffee was strange for a higher end restaurant, but would still recommend it the place.

Incredible food, outstanding service, the best food we’ve had in Vegas. This place is AMAZING! Had I know about it earlier, I’d have eaten every meal here. Unbelievable!

Steak Tartar-served with truffle oil bread…5 stars Cezar Salad(that’s how they spell it. It’s Russian. Get it?)…4 stars Beef Stroganoff — Most excellent…4 stars Chicken Kiev — Authentic… 4 stars The food is good but the overall dining experience is even better. Service is 5 stars all the way. Ask for David. Best waiter — EVER. Now a proud inductee into our personal servers hall of fame. And there’s really only one other guy in there right now. The only thing I would change is the music they play. It’s that Vegas-style techno-crap you hear everywhere you go. But it’s not that loud. It’s almost as if it’s bleeding in from Mandalay Bay somewhere.

Service was good but unfortunately they could not grill a filet mignon to medium rare. Sent back twice. Real shame and that on our anniversary dinner. At least they were very willing to comp the meal and bottle of wine. Liked the vibe of the place but not good in the back.

We were wandering around Mandalay looking for a place to grab a bite to eat and stopped in front of Red Square. It looked very interesting and different compared to most cafes that you come across. We talked to the hostess for a bit on what she suggested and decided to sit at the bar. After glancing over the happy hour menu, we ordered some cocktails. The bartender handed us some drinks and started to take our food order. After trying my drink, I realized that it wasn’t what I ordered. Neither was my fiancé’s. The bartender apologized and made us the correct drinks and let us keep the original ones if we wanted them. The food that we ordered wasn’t much food. The hostess suggested the meatballs. I wouldn’t normally order meatballs at a restaurant, but since she talked so highly of them, we decided to go with it. Her suggestion was great! Everything else that we got was meh, but the meatballs are where it is at. Several large meatballs in a skillet topped with cheese were ready to be placed on some crunchy toasted bread. It was delish! By far the best thing we had there. Thank you hostess lady!

Apps were good but not great. For dinner I had the beef stroganoff-it was OK. Service was really slow. Overall, there are better choices nearby.

The food and the service is incredible and what you would expect. All that to say, very little Russian items on the menu, more about Russian influence on a few things. Great cocktails, incredible food. A definite repeat.

Good service, a concise menu that isn’t overwhelming but has a good range of choices for a group with varying preferences. The caviar tasting was very nice as an appetite teaser. The beef stroganoff was very tasty, the meat tender. A few of the cocktails were… huge. All in all, a great dinner experience for a small group of friends. Definitely consider eating here early in the evening before continuing on to other Vegas adventures

My friends and I came in(party of 4) to have drinks and apps to start the evening and got in at the tail end of Happy Hour, around 6:45pm. The place was DEAD for a Saturday night… like 2 other tables were occupied and all the open tables had«Reserved» signs on them… The server seemed as if it was inconvenient that a party of 4 walked in to eat and that she had to do «work.» The Happy Hour menu was ok… discounted prices for discounted portions so not really sure it was of value. The beef slider on the menu was $ 7 for A slider… yes, you are reading that correct…1 Slider… not really a shareable item, now is it? The Steak Tartar, the salmon pizza, and the buffalo wings were good. The Moscow Mules we all had were quite enjoyable as well. Certain cocktails off the bar menu were discounted from $ 18 to $ 11. When looking at the dinner menu, just felt as if there was nothing really exciting about the dishes offered so as a group, we just ordered more appetizers and paid the full price for the full size portions which seemed of more value. I will compliment the gentleman who was the food runner/busser as he kept our water filled and plates cleared, doing it with a friendly attitude and a smile. Overall, I am not sure I would rush back to Red Square… I think the service(despite the food runner) just put my friends and I «off» and made the experience less enjoyable than it could have been. I’m not sure if Lenin would be proud…

Had a table of 8 thirsty concert goers. Waited almost 30 minutes and nobody would take our drink order. We left after speaking with management and still no service. I won’t be back.

Perhaps my favorite bar on the Las Vegas Strip. Service is outstanding. The ambiance is a very Soviet theme yet they offer a great selection of Polish vodkas as well. Bardzo dobry. Back to Russia: Pair the Siberian Black Sturgeon caviar with Jewel of Russia vodka and you are in for a real treat.

Beef stroganoff was excellent. The beef was well prepared and would return just for that. We also had Chicken Kiev and that was delicious too. Authentic. The Moscow Mules were served in smaller copper mugs that i’m used to but vodka was high quality.

One of the best meals I had in Vegas! Love the look and feel of the resto — dark and broody. The red glow makes everyone look fabulous! Started off with refreshing Moscow Mule, followed by a plate of kick ass oysters and ended with a creamy lobster bisque. I savored every bite and drank up the last drop. Delish! Service was fun, friendly and efficient. I would definitely come back on my next trip to Vegas.

Hidden gem in Mandalay! Walked by many times and never went in. This time we said let’s give it a try! Been here two nights in a row! Food, service, ambience, cocktails, the whole package! LOVED our server Brittany! She was one of the main reasons we came back a second night!

I have been going to this restaurant since it opened. It has always been really great Russian cuisine. I loved the peach bellini from the ice bar, the buttery chicken kiav, the creamy beef stroganoff, and the chocolate caviar dessert. I had celebrated many birthdays and meals before concerts at this place. It had been a few years since I had gone back but I was there this last July. I was told with new management they no longer make my favorite peach bellini. That annoyed me. How could they get rid of it! I ordered the chicken kiav. It was so disappointing. There was no butter in the dish and it was intensely dry. That’s what chicken kiav is; moist chicken filled with butter and crispy on the outside. It was filled with some green vegetable. I couldn’t even tell what it was. My husband did not like his steak and my sister felt the same way about her chicken kiav. After that I knew I was never going back and this ruined it for me. This experience made me sad since I always loved this place. Of course the dessert menu changed and I was not into the strawberry baked alaska. The service was standard and in my opinion dining here was not worth the high price. I have nothing else to say.

Don’t get the tri-tip on special if they have it. The toughest 75 dollar piece of meat I have ever had. The mixed drink was very pricey and forget about a beer selection but then again it it supposed to be a a Russian restaurant…

A tourist trap for sure. I am Russian, and so of course I had to go in there. The Chicken Kiev was dry as hell, but I was kinda tipsy so failed to mention it to the waitress. The Ice Vault is an experience though; –5 degrees and wearing Rusky hat and fur coat. I would not come back to this restaurant though. Waaaaay too pricey for what you get. I know it’s Vegas and all but come on, Russian food isn’t supposed to be expensive!??

Came here for the Happy Hour before the MJ One show @ 7. The happy hour food was the best amongst all the restaurants in the hotel. The service was excellent! Had the Kobe beef, salmon pizza, and fritz. Fritz was on the burnt side but the salmon pizza was awesome!

We always have a great experience at Red Square. Located in the Mandalay Bay hotel. Posh formal yet romantic dining experience. Fresh fare with Russian influence in their cocktails and dishes. Vodka infused cocktails are da bomb. Had the oysters for an appetizer, very fresh and briny, lobster tacos, tender warm with a citrus mango salsa, hubs had the chicken Kiev, savory sauce tender chicken traditional stuffing, I had the stuffed lobster non traditional Russian but fresh great sauce and stuffing, great food ambience staff and cocktails we will always come back!

My coworker and I sat ourselves in the lounge and received excellent service for two drinks, appetizer and a salad. If you check in you get a free rail drink or glass of house wine(and I happily brought mine up to my room to enjoy in the bath). I enjoyed the garlic fries but they tasted dry; it was as if the oil was old as well, judging by the slightly burned aftertaste. I expect GREAT fries for $ 9, hence the 4⁄5 star rating. Interesting aesthetic and atmosphere, and I can imagine if you’re a vodka connoisseur you’d love the place.

We called day of to see if we could make a reservation or put our names in for our anniversary dinner and they were able to get us in! We got sat right away in a nice side booth where we could see the whole restaurant. Dave was our server and my husband and I agreed that he was AWESOME! He was so friendly and personable and recommended different things on the menu. Everything came out perfectly and in a timely manner. He even kept apologizing that the bread was just finishin up and he would hurry to get it out so I could have it with my lobster bisque! Such a nice guy! I got the lobster bisque that had fresh lobster piled up in the middle of the soup. We got a Caesar salad that came with big pieces of fresh parmesan. Mmm and we split the filet mignon. Cooked to perfection and melted in out mouths. We will definitely be back and hopefully we get Dave as our server!

Happy Hour Daily 4 – 7, 10pm to close One of my favorite happy hours at Mandalay Bay. Great cocktail and food menu, although on my most recent visit the happy hour menu was much smaller than in the past. My favorite cocktails are the White Ruskie and The Tsar. For food I like the meatballs, sliders and wings. I really liked the duck fat fries and siberian nachos but they are no longer on the happy hour menu. Boo! Still a solid happy hour spot.

Been here four times, and stop by each time I’m in Vegas. As a Russian, I’d feel like a jerk if I didn’t support them. They used to have great shirts and caps that read«Red Square — Join the party.» Now the waitresses are dressed in more Vegas-y seductive military-esque uniforms, which fit the theme better, I suppose. The drinks are always amazing. We’ve tried the White Ruskie(a twist on the white Russian), the Root of Sin, and the KGB, and all three were very tasty and strong enough. My girlfriend looks forward to the KGB especially, every time we plan a trip. The last two visits have been since they changed the menu and shirts, so the review will be on those. Visit 2 — 4⁄5 stars. 6-18-2015 The one dock of a star is because they overcharged us and then wouldn’t answer their phone when we called to resolve it. If someone messages me saying they will toss the tip to the waitress, I’d be more happy. We both asked for recommendations from our waitress, and ended up ordering the steak and the prawns as our dishes, with some sliders for appetizer. The sliders were very small, but tasty. Nothing special. Drinks were amazing. My steak was very juicy, and well-portioned. They said it came with one side-dish, but ended up charging us for it($ 9). We noticed it, and called to tell them to give it as a tip to our waitress, because she was pretty good. Instead it went to the restaurant for a sneaky charge. Lame! The steak came with two sauces. The first was a sharp, tangy red wine sauce that really electrified, tangy, the tongue at first taste. The second was a green peppercorn sauce, which was creamy and sweet, with a bit of an earthy undertone. I asked for mashed potatoes as a side dish and they were amazing. It came with a bit of smoked sea salt, and the texture was heavenly. It was creamy, with hearty chunks stirred in, and the flavor was rich and smoky. Very unique, and perfectly complimented the steak. One waiter stopped by and hinted that it went well with the green sauce, and indeed it did! My girlfriend ordered the prawns, per recommendation, and she was 100% satisfied. I don’t do seafood, but she wouldn’t stop talking about it all day. The side it came with was delicious, and she kept stealing my red wine sauce and forcing me to try it with different parts of her dish. For a dessert, we did a bread pudding with caramel sauce. Bread pudding is either amazing or boring, and there’s not much in-between. By this point, the drinks had me a little biased, but I believe it was on the amazing end of the spectrum. Visit 1 — 3⁄5 stars. About 2 yrs ago. The drinks were great. I ordered the only chicken item on the menu(lays chicken) and my girlfriend ordered a lobster dish. My entrée was surprisingly tasty. Would probably have been a decent portion if I didn’t have to split it with my girlfriend when she got jipped on her portion. The lobster dish, however, was pretty plain, and although it was presented beautifully, the portion size was actually very deceptive. They put a large shell on the plate, which made the food look raised, and better portioned than it really was. For the $ 35 or whatever it was, it was essentially appetizer-sized, and didn’t even taste good enough to be memorable. Overall, it was good, but we both could have used a little bit more food.

I really like this place. It’s one of the real gems of Mandalay Bay. I’ve been here about 10 times over the years and it never disappoints. The food has been as good the first time I went as it was the last time I went. That’s a fantastic consistency record in my book. We usually get their signature Beef Stroganoff with some vodka pairings /flight. GOOD1: The food is consistent and spot on from each of my visits GOOD2: The wait staff is as attentive and professional as any Morton’s GOOD3: They have an ice vault with a vodka ice shot thing, always a good time BAD1: It’s fairly pricey. Not really a «bad» thing but really the only thing I can think of that’s not perfect. OVERALL: I love this place from top to bottom. I’ve been there so many times over the years and each one was fun filled with delicious memories.

11÷28÷14: PLEASE let me save you from coming here! – TOURISTTRAP of the worst kind! Décor is very trendy and artistic. Looks beautiful in a dark and mysterious way. Well, the parts you can see anyway cause this is probably one of the darkest lit restaurants I have ever been to. Tip: Use the flash on your phone to read the menu. Well, as I was saying, it looks and feels like a heavily themed Disneyland ride, though a beautiful one,… and that’s what you get with the food too: described to be luxurious on the menu with prices to reinforce, but served up cardboard. 1. Moscow Mule $ 18: Says on the menu it’s made up of vodka, lime, and ginger beer… and whadya know… it tastes just like that. Yes, that’s right, go home and mix your own vodka, lime, and beer and you got the same dang thing. ZERO complexity. Tastes fine as a girly drink – but you don’t pay $ 18 for a cocktail you drink at your cheap company’s holiday bash. 1⁄10. 2. Salmon Pizza $ 21: Crap. Utter crap. I don’t care if it has little tiny dabs of caviar and is covered in salmon. The bread is a tasteless piece of cardboard, and this dish is hardly deserving of your hard-earned money. 1⁄10. 3. Bone-In Ribeye Tomahawk $ 58: Straight up LIE. It says«24 Ounce, 2 Signature Sauces» as a description. Look… I’ve had honest 18oz steaks that I could barely finish, …this is NOT24oz. I wolfed it cause it tastes good, but was still plenty hungry. Note that this steak is extremely marinated – like it’s completely saturated with some kind of marinade which really covers up the natural meat taste. Yeah, I’d say it tastes good, but for $ 58, you don’t pay for a plate of marinade. $ 58 will buy you an amazing steak at Mastro’s or Alexander’s… this place has no right to serve this crap at that price. 3⁄10. 4. Bread Pudding $ 9: OMG, one sanely priced item. Too bad it doesn’t taste that great. Your local diner will probably serve better. Well on that note, there is one curiosity – do I spy Captain Crunch Cereal covering the dish???(See my pictures! – seriously.) I don’t get it. I mean, did they attempt to try to make Captain Crunch in-house? – or is that really the stuff you buy at the super market? Well, if they made it, it sure tastes like Captain Crunch. Would an ultra-high-end fancy-pants I-got-$ 300-caviar restaurant dare put Captain Crunch on a dessert??? Sigh… 4⁄10. If you think I’m just joking around and you think the current 4-stars it has on Unilocal could be correct… go right ahead. Just promise me you’ll get the bread pudding and ask for some milk – tell the waiter that you will need it to go with your cereal. 1⁄5. #Russian #vegas #overpriced #avoid #touristtrap

My husband and I have talked about dining at Red Square for a long time, but for one reason or another it has never happened. When I saw their restaurant week menu my interest was immediately piqued they were offering choices unlike anyone else. Dinner was $ 40.14, there were three choices of Appetizer and Entrée, and two Dessert options. We started with Mini Lobster Tacos and Siberian Nachos. Entrees of Beef Stroganoff and Chicken Kiev followed, and we finished with Toffee Bread Pudding for dessert. It was a shame the tacos were bite sized because they were mighty delicious and I was left wanting more. The delicate lobster was perfectly prepared, which too often is not the case. The nachos were intriguing, with smoked salmon piled high on potato crisps and topped with American caviar. I wish the potato slices were thicker to better support the salmon and if they were unseasoned there would still be plenty of residual saltiness from the caviar. I’ve grown up eating Beef Stroganoff, it’s one of my favorite comfort foods. This version was more rich and better composed with braised short rib, wild mushrooms, perfect Strozzapretti and dollops of ricotta. It was tasty and a hearty portion. The chicken kiev was served with Brussels sprouts, it was unfortunate that the pan sauce was so overwhelmingly over seasoned that any other flavor beside salt was completely lost. Our waiter strongly recommended the bread pudding. I typically do not enjoy bread pudding so I was hesitant but agreed. Honestly, I’m glad I didn’t have to share. Croissant pieces were piled high and served with salted caramel ice cream and toffee sauce to drizzle and it was topped off with vanilla Captain Crunch. It definitely had a breakfast taste, reminiscent of warm cinnamon rolls without being too sweet. Truly, it was a pleasant surprise. Our dinner was deeply discounted, it was a great opportunity to try Red Square. We had an enjoyable meal even if two of the dishes were over seasoned. 3.5 stars.

I’ve walked by Red Square for years and always wanted to give it a try. Last night before the Lionel Richie concert was the perfect time. My server was Mary and she saw to it that I got my iced tea quickly and she gave me plenty of time to look over the menu and then answer some questions. For an appetizer, I got the Siberian nachos. This is a fun way of doing nachos in a different manner. There are five, very thinly sliced, waffle potato chips each with a nice slice of very good smoked salmon. Topping each is a small dollop of caviar and sour cream. The potato slices are so delicate, you can’t pick up the chip and eat it with the salmon on top. The main course had to be beef stroganoff. This was made differently than I’ve ever had before but it was no less good. In fact, this was the star of the meal and I recommend anyone eating here try the stroganoff. It’s a braised short rib that was extremely tender accompanied by wild mushroom tagliatelle. There is some truffle flavored ricotta placed between the pasta and the beef. Unlike what we normally think of stroganoff, this one was not heavy on sour cream to make a gravy for the beef. Rather, the ricotta simply becomes blended a bit with the very good juices from the meat. I like their way of doing stroganoff. I took Mary’s advice for dessert – it’s actually what I was going to order anyway. This was good but was a bit of a disappointment. The strawberry baked Alaska wasn’t made nor served like a traditional baked Alaska which could have been OK except for one thing. The base was a thin sponge cake with some fresh strawberry slices. This was topped with some strawberry ice cream, and then the whole thing was mounded – not with meringue – but with marshmallow fluff that had been browned. When I put my spoon to what I thought was meringue I learned by the very thick consistency how wrong I was. The marshmallow was overwhelming in texture and in sweetness! I was glad to get below to the strawberry ice cream to offset some of the cloying sweetness. Service during dinner was excellent and Mary was a very pleasant server who made the dinner pleasant. The runners made sure my iced tea was refilled as soon as I finished my glass. I like the room with it’s Soviet themes. This starts with the beheaded statue of Vladimir I. Lenin at the entrance. The head was cut off and is in a freezer in the vodka tasting lounge where you get bottle service. Above the door inside is CCCP for the Soviet Union and there’s a hammer and sickle vodka vault sign by the bar and I could see part of the one mural in the bar/lounge area about a delegate – that’s all I could read of the Russian letters. While passing time between courses, I did notice that on the wall above the side of the bar, they have misspelled the Russian word for Square in their Red Square. Perhaps it’s the teacher in me and maybe it was my tough Russian professor in undergraduate school. Finally, the restaurant is very vibrant – sound wise. I wouldn’t plan on having a quiet conversation with your table mate.

What a cool spot. Not too many Russian spots. Theyve got a cool ice bar too. When we went we got the caviar. Exepensive but legit. Since it’s a Russian place theres a lot of red!
