Landon was great. Made an amazing drink for me and my friend. He made a drink called The David. It was amazing.

Been here a few times and chose to meet a friend here during (the early) happy hour. Didn’t see much new on the menu as far as mixology so stuck with $ 6 beer. I’m not a Fremont fan and am still slightly befuddled that places like this still exist in the corridor. It’s nice they have outdoor seating. While I was sitting near that outdoor area, the bartender closed the «garage» door to outside. I think the décor is the same as when they opened. The new joint next door, Therapy, was busier and the former Insert Coins used to be on the other side of Vanguard.
While Downtown (continues?) to find itself, places such as this will probably continue to exist Downtown.

My husband and I stopped in for Happy Hour on a Wednesday right after the place opened.
We each had a whiskey smash from the HH menu. It was a bit heavy on the mint but otherwise good. We ended up ordering a Moscow Mule which was very good.
We weren’t there during a DJ time or late night so I can’t answer to that. But I did have a good time hanging out, talking to Landon and having good drinks.

Downtown Vegas! First time here. Not a bad experience. We took one shot and then headed back out to other bars. Nice short pit stop.

Really fun bar with well mixed cocktails… unique menu of drinks, so I decided to try a strawberry lime cider — yummy! The bartender was really knowledgeable and we loved the happy hour specials especially for such well mixed cocktails — the margarita and the daiquiri were especially good. Make sure to check out the photo booth in the back too — how fun!

Great, trendy, casual place, wonderful atmosphere. Come see Landon for happy hour you won’t be disappointed. Great drinks, good company. Late night dancing, awesome DJs.

What a fun bar downtown! The inside is tiny but it’s always a good time. Chill atmosphere with a DJ booth blasting fun music late at night. Drinks are a bit above average priced; between $ 5 — $ 10 for beers and $ 10+ for cocktails. It’s never difficult to get a drink at the bar and the service hasn’t disappointed yet.
If you’re bar hopping downtown, I’d definitely recommend stopping by Vanguard. Don’t forgot to check in for 20% off your first order!

Cool bar in the Downtown Las Vegas area.
Stopped in with some friends to grab some drinks. This was a huge step up from the previous bar we had visited that night that charged $ 10 to get in. This had no cover charge, a more live crowd and better music.
Walked across the street to Beauty Bar after but found myself coming right back. This is also located next to a restaurant I’m dying to try so I’ll make it a night of food and more drinks here on my next visit.

Review was for the weekend of ⁹⁄₁₂. the female bartender was on hit. Never once had to wait for a drink. Came here after some «lounges» on the strip and this by far was the most fun we had all 5 days.

Was here Fri/​14 Aug about midnite:
— No cover charge, which unfortunately meant groups of scrubs who wouldn’t even buy a drink to support the business.
— I really enjoy Vanguard (drinks, service, dj, layout), but that night parts of the crowd was more ghetto than me.
— I think the best way to screen out deadbeats who will spend $ 0 is to charge $ 5 entry fee that comes with a drink ticket for a well drink.

Stumbled in here at 1am or so on Sunday night or more like Monday morning? My friends and I were about to leave and head over to market café to stuff ourselves but the music just pulled me in. They were blasting some good hip hop jams, so what’s a girl gotta do.
The place was medium packed, enough room to dance, but we spent about 30 minutes trying to get a drink, as there was only one bartender taking care of the slew of people. And we got semi hijacked by some visitor chic who was wasted and wanting to cop a feel, so I unfortunately didn’t get to dance as much as I wanted.
Either way, cool spot, cool music, and a great place to dance without having to deal with lines for the clubs. The crowd seemed a bit on the rowdier side on this night, but then again my judgement isn’t too reliable here.
I didn’t know they have amazing drinks. We just got two beers, and it wasn’t cheap either, even with the 20% for Unilocal check-​in. Thanks, Unilocal!!!
I would def come back here to dance the night away.

We love this cocktail lounge for starting a night on Fremont. If youre looking for a mixologist and not just a bartender, have Jackie make your drink. She is an artist! She made me an amazing ginger lemonade cocktail and the best mojito i have ever had! Sour, but wonderful! Perfect place for a NICE, unique drink. They also have a little patio right on Fremont East for prime people-​watching.
Tip: come around dinner time. It gets ghetto and crowded around 10pm

If you feel like shuffling or droppin that ass to the floor this is the place for you. The vibe gets pretty ghetto and packed. They had a good cocktail menu and the décor is cute. The men on the dance floor are on the prowl even the ones with braces so keep that in mind when coming here. If you feel like dancing then this is place to come on Fremont street. The dance floor wasn’t too stuffy so that was a plus. I’d maybe come back blacked out but wouldn’t hold my breath on it.

I don’t often come to Fremont Street, as my boyfriend doesn’t care for it overly much. When we do come, we stop at Vanguard for a cocktail. This is my favorite bar in the Fremont East Section with reasonablyish. priced drinks. Unlike many bars in this town the drinks are NOT watered down, and the bartenders are friendly and down to earth people. Never a bad experience.

This place is Ratchet with a capital R! I’m with Joel J. — I don’t get all the hype or the 4 star rating for Vanguard Lounge. I came here with a group of four people on a Saturday night around 12:30AM. This is prime time people. The Groupon I bought earlier the same night is what brought me to Vanguard.
Pros: There’s no cover charge.
Cons: There’s no cover charge, so the place is even more so infested with hoodlums.
When our group walked in, we were immediately turned off by the music that was playing (hip-​hop) and the plain, unattractive layout of the bar. The place was empty-​ish, but after about 30 minutes a tidal wave of partiers entered. The place was so packed that we were constantly being bumped into. I had a mild panic attack as we were leaving because I had to squeeze, push, and fight my way through the dance floor to get out of the club and breathe some fresh air. Did I mention I’m slightly claustrophobic?
Vanguard is in a great location. It’s located smack dab on the main Fremont drag next to Insert Coins and the Beat Coffeehouse. It’s convenient to stop by if you’re bar hopping along East Fremont, but the centralized location is pretty much the only positive thing about Vanguard.
Service at the bar was okay. We were served relatively quickly considering how busy it was. I ordered 4 Irish Trash Cans (A Long Island with Blue Curaçao and Peach Schnapps). The total came to $ 48. I was peeved at the $ 12 a piece price tag, especially since the drinks were served in dinky little plastic cups. I mean, c’mon, I could go to the much classier Wayfarer bar across the street and pay the same amount for a drink that tasted and looked a million times better.
There’s nothing going for Vanguard. I definitely won’t come back. Everyone in my group thought the place sucked. The only reason I’m giving them 2 stars instead of 1 is that the bartenders were quick and they didn’t hassle me about my Groupon. Oh yeah and the 20% off the first order for the Unilocal Check in is a Pro too.

The happy hr is very nice. I really like the Collins. They have a decent beer selection (bottled). Bartender is very informative and knowledgeable of his drinks. He also helped me understand the reenforced bottle Music is just right and laid back. Ambience is chill. Yet another enjoyable visit.

While waiting for friends to hit up downtown with us and being still a little early we strolled into Vanguard.
Passing here quite a few nights it’s always packed so we took advantage of the early birds we are and jumped in to down a drink or two.
Serving up some infused tequila and a Moscow mule we sat and chatted with the bartender for a bit and got a little more info on the place. 8am he said was the calm before the storm, when this place gets more than 4 people in it, some sort of magnet draws people in by the truckload. So if your planning a night with a group or just a couple make sure to come in a little early.
This place is all cocktails, they do have beer but not on tap. Good atmosphere and resonable drink prices I’d say this place has a lot going for it!!! Hell just look at all the other great reviews…
