Ben and Bill’s Deli

It’s in the Price Chopper food court!
Crazy.
But a huge sandwich.
Reasonably priced.
Meat Maximus like I was searching for. Very friendly staff.
Will certainly return again.

I hate to do this, since generally speaking I don’t like Price Chopper. Definitely don’t shop here, but the food in the food court is really good.
I got a hot pastrami sandwich, and it is the best pastrami sandwich I have had in a long time. Good pickles.
Wife got the lobster roll, while expensive was excellent.
Had breakfast at the sit down place and it was also very good. Who knew?

They have finally opened a new Ben and Bill’s Deli in the northern part of town. The B&B down in the Price Chopper in Slingerlands, while good, is outside my range for this type of thing.
The new B&B is located inside the Latham Price Chopper. While it is ‘open’ it is really not yet compete and still a bit under construction. They have most of the items that are also available at the other location (I understand there is also one in Saratoga and another in BTV but I have not been to those yet.
I got a corned beef and tongue sandwich, to go for my first taste test from this location. Overall taste was OK but it was heavy on the CB and light on the T. The staff seems to be working out some kinks but I expect it will get better once they settle in. They do not have any seating yet, but it looks like some is planned.
Futher taste testing will be required… yeah, I think more samples are definately needed
