I have been here a few times and am for the most part very happy with this place. The only complaint I have is that I had called in to one time to order lunch and they told me to call back multiple times. Finally after several minutes they ended up telling me it would be over a half and hour before they could take my order.

Their food tastes like an ashtray. Like I literally licked an ashtray between every bite. In fact, i would rather lick an ashtray than take another bite of that $%!T they call«baked goods». Please, do not eat here unless you are going through severe nicotine withdrawal and need dat fix.

I am there every Sunday after Church. Food is great. Goulash awww… to die for. And the sweets are good too! The hotties behind the counter(all of them) treat their customers well. One gave me a yogurt parfait for valentines day — and it was good! Oh yeah, and the bagels are good too!!! You can’t go wrong — just stop in!!! Dan Hines Restaurant Reviewer

Awesome. Had the Grilled Kielbasa sandwich. Wicked good. Nice bagel chips on the side. The Mrs. had the tuna melt — she enjoyed it. Nice counter of fresh baked goodies. Staff was very friendly. Nice job. Can’t wait to go back for Polish night!

God, if there was ever a time I wanted to give some stars for food I haven’t tried, it’s for that Polish menu of Golden Krust’s. As it was though, I just got some coffee and bagels, which are indeed pretty good for a guy just passing through. Sometimes you just need a good neighborhood place to grab a bagel.

Stopped here to grab a quick bite while wasting some time in Latham. I’ve been here before to grab a bagel but never to sit and eat. The OG owner Ed supplied my Grams bakery in Mechanicville(Family Bakery) with all the breads, dinner rolls, cookies, and all the other bake goods, when she was in business so I know what what to expect from their food. The breakfast choices consit of bagels. Bagel sandwiches with your choice of ham, bacon, or sausage with egg and cheese. Or bagels with cream cheese, and they do have a nice variety of cream cheese to choose from. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a toasted garlic bagel and my wife ordered a sausage egg and cheese on a toasted sesame bagel, and we both had 2 coffees. The sandwich was really good I thought and my wife said it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches she has ever eaten. If you eat inside just beware that you are going to smell like the bakery for the entire day… not a bad thing but not a good thing if you are going on a interview or something of that importance. I do want to make it back there on a Tuesday night so I can try their dinner as Kristy E mention in her review. The Polish plate sounds fantastic.

I discovered this place through my father. Every Thursday he heads over to ‘Golden for«Polish Night» and brings plenty of things from there to nibble on. I’m not sure if Thursday is the only night they have the Polish food, but that’s the night that’s been dubbed Polish Night. The food? Uum, pretty tasty :) We’re Ukrainians(I’m half. papa and gram are full). not in fact Polish but I guess we all kinda share the same food so I’ve grown up on it, and think I’m a fair judge of the«Slavic» eats lol. The Golumpkies(stuffed cabbage) are very good… like very, very good. I myself don’t eat the cabbage part. tried it once when I was like 5 or 6 and once was enough. Even as an adult, I still have a childish palate towards the veggies. That’s why you’ll find veg in vitamin form in my medicine cabinet! Anyhow, if you’re like me and you ever have these and just eat the stuffing. the stuffing is veddy, veddy good. Two thumbs up! Or if you’re all brave and adult about it. and dig the cabbage you’ll probably really enjoy the whole package. My father and grammy do and they’re good judges on it. it’s def grammy approved. The Kiebasi? I don’t eat it but my father and grammy enjoy it. The Pyrohy(pierogis)? They’re tasty. Not Ukrainian Hall Bazzar style good(I’m biased). but still quite tasty. There’s a little more of a sauerkraut taste to them(it’s just a hint I swear), which we like in our family. Funny, but this is the only time I like that stuff and didn’t even know what it was when I tried these«what’s the taste?». I was surprised I enjoyed it. Had I know what it was I probably wouldn’t have tried it. Something about the potatoes, I think the fact they’re not as thick of a texture as the ones I’m used to, keeps me from *loving* them. but I do enjoy them plenty. If you were to go on a Thursday, you would see a ton of old-timers and plenty of «youngin’s» leaving with bags of stuff. That to me, says this place knows what they’re doing :) I guess this place used to be in Cohoes as the Golden Krust Bakery but they relocated here and downsized after a fire. They now have a smaller seating section(according to my dad it was much bigger in Cohoes) for dining in, and focus on Bagels and sandwiches most days. I’m not sure of prices, but I’m going to guess they’re on the cheap eats side seeing it’s got a large takeout base.
