I am not crafty, but I suppose this place is A-​OK. I’m blown away by the amount of stuff for scrap booking (and the thought that people have time to cut and paste paper and make scrap books. isn’t this what facebook is for? I’m going to be a terrible mother – here kids, look at facebook, momma ain’t got no time for a scrap book) and beads. There are enough beads to wipe out every unsupervised toddler in the Capital Region.
Half the store has a 40−70% off sale sign. This did not include the custom cut mat that I needed. That being said, the mat was a lot less expensive then if I had purchased it at a framing store.
They have a lot of reasonably priced frames (and the pre-​cut mats are reasonably priced). They have cheap holiday décor (not stuff you need to put together, but the ready assembled for lazy-​asses like me).

Mid-​sized MIchael’s, currently loaded for bear for the Easter holiday with a touch of St. Patrick thrown in. I’ve noticed Michael’s has put its game on a bit more with books and educational toys, but it still has a hard time matching the JoAnn’s down at the Northway Mall for the total package, and doesn’t carry Fabrics and the like. I do note Michael’s still seems to be much better than the like competition for art supplies, but it is no competition for an actual art supply store. As such I tend to think of it as half a scrapbooking shop, and half a fodder-​for-​school-​projects store with some seasonal holiday stuff thrown on top.

I am a huge fan of this Michael’s! The store is very clean. The scrapbooking section is large and well organized, I find nearly everything I am looking for when I come here. If you have a smart phone download the Michael’s App to get coupons right at your fingertips! Not a senior citizen, but my mother in law looks forward to the Senior Day discount’s. One day I will take a cropping class here, but it’s a little far from home for me to come here unless I am on my way home. If you wait long enough, whatever you want will go on sale too. Highly recommend this Michael’s
