I hesitate once again to compare Mr. Subb to the low standards of Subway, but it’s inevitable. While you can get slightly different fare at Mr. Subb, in the form of precooked then microwaved meat on round buns and tepid tater tots, in addition to the sub-to-order staple they have in common, Mr. Subb in my limited experience at several locations has consistently come up short by comparison. The employees don’t seem as well trained or drilled, taking their time and not being crisp or consistent in the sandwich prep, and the sandwiches end up being worse than Subway’s. This location has dished me out stale bread(and bread makes the sandwich) twice which to me is a coincidence that may or may not indicate a trend, but is unlikely to lure me back for a third stab. So I give them a very tepid three for being edible, pleasant, and clean, but if there were two stores side by side, I’d still walk into a random Subway. This particular location suffers a bit as well from a very small, cramped mini-bowling alley seating area that reminds me of the mini-Dunkins in the area.
