My husband and I went to ride Jet Skis at Laughlin for a few hours last Sunday. We had dinner at the Aquarius Casino then we decided to have some coffee and desert at the Duet. Wow! There coffee was delicious, i had the caramel latte. My husband had the tea, he said it was very good. We also had eclairs. OMG! The éclair was so good, the cream inside was delicious, they were also huge! My husband and i split one. Anyways, if your in Laughlin, you must check out this place, the coffee is fresh and the desserts look wonderful, eat the éclair! =)

We had the buy one get one free drink coupon for signing up as new player’s card members. Got a large ice coffee for 3.39 and another one for free with the coupon. Good thing about this place is that they offer 49 cents(with player’s card) and 55 cents(without card) refills on certain drink items like the iced coffee or the tea. This is only for the day of purchase, but you can refill it as many times as you want that day. We sure did just that! =) I saw that they had different types of food items too. We didn’t get to try any of those.

Modern coffee shop located inside the Aquarius hotel /Casino. Good for a quick bite to eat. Had a very tasty Caramel Frappé. Turkey wrap was good as well. Nice addition to the Aquarius.

First time here, ordered a caramel chocolate cupcake and coffee. The coffee was surprisingly good, not so lucky with the cupcake. It was ok not worth trying again. Actually, it tasted old and the whip cream texture was way too dense. Please everyone don’t waste your money buying any pastries here.

Don’t, if you are used to Starbucks, this is not the place for you. They need help, seriously. It’s sterile and uncomfortable.

Love the food and free WiFi but can we get some service around during here… everyone is in the back I’ve watched people walk to the counter stans there and get no serivce. Walk away and walk by with their mccafe.. Sad story when you opened those doors it was top notch your new crew is unfriendly they and not very sociable. can’t even recommend xomething yummy.

I walked over from the Riverside. I was expecting more choice of Danish. All they had in that category was a big cheese Danish. It probably was more than a day old wrapped in plastic. I guess I’m spoiled by our Koenin’s in Tehachapi but it didn’t seem that the dough was even of the pastry variety. Tasted more like biscuit dough. I’m thinking they came out of a large kitchen and were more like something one would find on a buffet line not in a specialized shop bragging about their wares.

I don’t think I need to say much more than this. For $ 2 on top of your coffee you can have them add whiskey to it! Great way to wake up and get hammered right away.

Aquarius casino has it all. Steakhouse, subway, Panda Express, Bars, and my ultimate favorite, coffee shop! Duet serves just about anything you want for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. I’ve had their croissant sandwich and it’s spot on. Their bakery section looks so appealing I had to try it today. I had the French crueller, strudel with cherry filling, and their usual cup of joe. Yummers! Service is fast and their line does get awfully long. They also offer wifi in the café. I’ll never not stop at the Duet.

There aren’t many choices for great food in Laughlin and if you want coffee, you pretty much have to go to a chain. However, the Aquarius decided to change that up a bit and added this great coffee/wine bar. Great idea and very convenient since I was stuck working in my room all week. Duets offered coffee and pastries in the morning, sandwiches and wraps at lunchtime, and wine in the evening. I had the turkey wrap one day for lunch and a blueberry muffin for breakfast. Both were delicious! They also offer a variety of yummy looking desserts including large cupcakes and several different cheesecakes. If you’re staying at the Aquarius and don’t pop in here at least once during your stay, you’re making a big mistake.

I came to Duet twice while staying in Laughlin, which was conveniently located in the hotel we were staying in. They sell coffee, tea, wine, and some select few food items(mostly breakfast type food like bagels and cream cheese). Our hotel gave us two«buy-one-get-one-free» drink coupons, and we used both of them. I ordered an Iced Coffee both times, which was great(but you can’t really go wrong with an Iced Coffee). My boyfriend ordered a Hot Chocolate one day and an Iced Tea the next day, and he liked both. We both ordered bagels one morning as well, which were good. Both times we came in Duet was busy. Saturday morning we waited almost 15 minutes for our drinks, but Sunday we got our drinks in just a few minutes. We were in no rush, so it was not an issue for us. They were well staffed, who were all very friendly too. I’d come back here if I come back to Laughlin! Cheers!

When you need coffee after an exhilarating and exhausting day on the river and your legs will only carry you so much further. you stop and grab the first cup of coffee you see. For me it happened to be in the lobby of the hotel we were already staying in. Lucky me because I wasn’t going to make it much longer. The coffee and wine bar is cute enough for being located in Laughlin. My first visit was around 12:00pm, and there were several other customers inside, seated at the various tables both inside the café and outside close to the casino floor. So that was a good sign, at least they had some business. I was greeted by a cheery gentleman who quickly took my order. By quickly, I mean. I had stood there for all of 5 seconds before he asked if I was ready. I placed my order. only to wait 10 minutes for it. Why rush me if you’re going to take your time making my drink? Not cool. Once my drink was ready, he set it on the bar and walked away. Didn’t look at me, didn’t call it out. Didn’t even place a straw with it. Wtheck, rude. So I went to grab my drink, and asked for a coffee sleeve because the cup was freezing and I didn’t want to end up with soggy napkins from the condensation. He rudely rolled his eyes and started to point at the little table with the creamers and such. Stopped him mid point to let him know there weren’t any over there and that’s why I’d asked him. Again, rudely handed me a coffee sleeve. Dang bro, it’s not like they take a cut off of your check for handing out sleeves. Just saying. so I ended up not coming back to The Duet until the end of our trip and I needed a late night refuel. The 2nd visit was far better. The two ladies manning the counter were really sweet and they have me some time to decide before ordering. Even though it was 10:30PM, the service was fast and they made my macchiato how I like it. Extra hot, no foam, whipped instead, cinnamon sprinkled on top. When my ACE card didn’t work, she asked if I had placed it next to my phone. Of course I had, so she told me to go get a new one ASAP and she manually did my discount. When it was ready they came out to me, as I had stepped out because I was so sleepy and I didn’t want to fall asleep at one of their tables. Which was a pleasant change from just having my drink left on the counter. I ended up going back once more before they closed that night to get a refill of my macchiato because it was pretty good. And the service was much better, so why not. None of my drinks had the burnt aftertaste that you find accompanies most of Starbucks drinks, even though for the price, you might have thought The Duet was an undercover Starbucks location. Pricing was basically the same, if not slightly more since well — casino. Not surprising to me as I used to live in Vegas, but sticker shock for those who might not be used to paying upwards of $ 5.50 for a coffee. Anyhow, the drinks were all good so I was happy that I hadn’t wasted money on lousy drinks because let’s face it. You’re only gonna get so much in Laughlin, and this was at the upper end of the what was available to me when I didn’t feel like trekking back to my Keurig. They have plenty of pastries, sandwiches, donuts(provided by Krispy Kreme) and they also offer a wine and cheese platter pairing. I saw 8 bottles of wine available, but as it didn’t peak my interest that much I don’t know the pricing or how much you get for what you spend. Honestly, I would come back to The Duet when in Laughlin because it was good coffee and it was readily available at the times I needed it. Service apparently is hit or miss depending on the time of day. And let’s face it, on Sunday’s the line will be longest and at check out time too. But since I had 2 out 3 good visits, I would go back. If this is what’s closest to you, just stop in. It’s better than going from casino to casino looking for a cup of decent Joe. You’ll find it here, so just go here.

We got the 2 for 1 drink coupons for signing up for the ace players card. So we decided to check it out. They weren’t going to close for another hour and a half so we thought we get a couple glasses of wine and a cheese/cracker platter. First off the initial greeting was not at all warm. When we asked about sitting toward the back of the café the server/barista told us that«it’s closed, can’t you see how the chairs are stacked?» Came off a bit snarky in my opinion. So we went and sat by the front wall. Took a bit to get our wine and even longer for the cheese/cracker platter. The platter we got didn’t look like the one in the display and the wine glasses were pretty small. I guess the only good thing was the free wifi and good café music that they were playing.

Very Slow & Not Worth The Wait! Coffee lovers can appreciate a good cup of coffee and there’s not much they wouldn’t be willing to do in order to get it. I happen to be a coffee lover. I came to Duet located inside of the Aquarius while staying on vacation thinking it was still Starbucks. Disappointed, I still gave it a try. There were three employees working and I ordered 2 iced white mochas. The cashier was very friendly but there only seemed to be one guy making all of the drinks. This didn’t seem to be too bad until I noticed everyone’s drinks who were behind me coming out first! I waited at least 20 minutes for my coffee and I was second in line to order. This shouldn’t be acceptable to anyone and the coffee was definitely not worth the wait. I felt that the service and quality were very poor. Please don’t let this happen again.

Stopped in for a morning snack after checkout. I got an apple fritter(Krispy Kreme) and iced tea. My boyfriend got a fruit tart and iced tea. We had a $ 10 off coupon and got another dollar off from our player’s card, so it cost us barely anything. I enjoyed the apple fritter, but the iced tea was very weak. Pretty much tasted like water. Glad we didn’t have to pay $ 3+ each for them!

Pretty good. When you check in at the Aquarius you get a buy one get one free drink for here. I got the Iced Caramel Macchiato which was good. My husband originally asked for an iced vanilla coffee but I think they messed it up a bit. We went back and they fixed it no problem. The staff was friendly, and the décor was cute. Lots of options for pastries, we plan on coming back later for one of their huge cupcakes. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the casino and want a pick me up.

Honestly, probably your best bet for a hot cup of Joe and a decent quality, morning bite while staying in the abysmal confines of Laughlin’s casino strip, primarily, that of the Aquarius. The good thing is that you really don’t have to go too far either being that the place is about 100 feet from the elevators. So expect the upper echelon of Starbucks level pricing, perhaps with a bit of a premium because you are in a casino. That’s life, it’s rough and that’s just how it is. You might luck out though since they appear to give out a buy one get one free coupon when you stay at the Aquarius, then it comes out more reasonable. You may get even luckier yet and have someone leave the one they didn’t use in one of the drawers in your room. Just sayin’ They have a lot of good looking pastries and other bites to eat, not cheap, not healthy but still very tempting. There’s a decent amount of seating but get used to the fact that on some days, more than likely Sundays and major days for check-outs, it’s going to get a little packed and the lines are going to be long. Nothing too major to fret over but, hey, some people cry over spilled milk… so be prepared. I didn’t have any issues with service. Everyone was friendly and I was double-fisting 20 ounce coffees within a reasonable(fairly quick) amount of time so all was good. Duet is probably your best bet for a cup of Joe to wake yourself up a «glorious» day in Laughlin that won’t cost you a ton of time or distance traveled. Hell, it’s probably as good as it gets around here… and your can interpret that however you like.

The Aquarius performed the unthinkable by upping the Las Vegas Strip on opening a café specializing in both coffee and wine. Furthermore the Aquarius did the unthinkable by replacing their Starbuck’s with a superior café. The pairing of coffee and alcohol is a neat concept. Drinking sometimes has an affect on me where I get tired. Oftentimes when I’d have a couple drinks on the Strip I’d pick up a coffee to counterbalance the affect. I always thought it would be a good idea combining coffee with alcohol. Duet is along the perimeter wall of the Aquarius by McDonald’s and Subway. The interior is cheerful. It is a café suitable for relaxing. Duet showcases the pastries and sandwiches in attractive display cases. Their pastries make Starbuck’s pastries look amateurish. They include vanilla cupcakes, oreo cupcakes, Tiramisu cupcakes, assorted cheesecakes, cannolis, Nappoleons, and eclairs. The sandwiches include Portabello paninis, chicken breast paninis, philly cheese steak paninis, a bagel breakfast sandwich, and varieties of wraps. Above the displaycases are funny wine quotes such as, «Wine improves with age. I improve with wine.» «A Meal without wine is like a day without sunshine.» It is humor that could brighten people’s faces by the time they order. Duet serves wine and shots. There is a self pour machine with choices of wine and instructions. It is the Red Box for wine. I was surprised to see a menu for cordial shots. And for $ 2 with the purchase of coffee you could buy a cordial shot. They include Bailey’s Irish Cream, Kailua, Irish Whiskey, and Amaretto. On my two recent visits to Laughlin, I visited Duet strictly for coffee. I applaud Duet for offering strawberry syrup which is my preference for drip coffee. And I give Duet a shout out for serving quality coffee.
Both times I visited Duet, it was jumping with people. It kind of makes me wonder if the Aquarius’s sister Las Vegas properties The Stratosphere and Arizona Charlies will open a Duet. The fact that I’m writing this is testimony that I regard Duet as worthy of 4 stars. Let me close off this review with a couple of tips. If your a Starbuck’s fan don’t be :(because both the Golden Nugget and Harrah’s have one. And if you visit Duet sign up for the ACE card if you don’t have one. It will knock 10% off the bill.
