Top Donut

GREAT donuts! Very much like donuts were when you were a kid.
I haven’t tried the other menu items — I just can’t get past that huge case of yummy donuts.
My ONLY complaint is that I wish their «large» coffee were larger.

This was always great but the last few time’s I have gone in the morning for donuts they are not fresh, they are yesterday’s donuts that didn’t sell, instead of throwing them away I think they carry them over for the next morning, if I want day old donuts there are Dunkin Donuts all over the place, I hope they stop serving day old donuts.

Great place for home made donuts muffins and bake Goods made Fresh Daily which is a thing of the past for places like dunkins Donuts and great coffee and Hot Chocolate and one of the Best Customer Service you will find any where and there also one in Lowell which is Great too so you must go and try them you will be Glad you did

This place is cool. I recommend this place when twiddling your thumbs at the RMV up the street.
It’s less than a quarter mile from the RMV in Lawrence. I came here while waiting to register my car. I got the #1 which I believe was 2 donuts and a medium coffee for like $ 3 or $ 3.50.
I got a Bostom cream and an apple fritter. The apple fritter was amazing, and the boston cream was soft, fresh, and delicious. A nice ratio of cream: donut.

Very good donuts. You’ll want to walk in to see all of the choices. I like the chocolate iced boston cream and the apple fritter.

I was thrilled to discover there was a home-​y breakfast place near my work. If you look at my reviews, you can tell I’m a sucker for a home-​made bagel, breakfast sandwich, donut, coffee, you name it. It is the kryptonite to my repeated attempts at no-​carb diets.
I digress.
Of course, I checked the Unilocal reviews as I walked in the door, and was impressed with a 4 star rating, especially in a densely packed area where options are limitless.
I don’t often disagree with my fellow Unilocalees — but BLECH. Sorry, Top Donut!
Service was excellent — the employees work quickly and are friendly and got my order completely right. They accept credit cards which is nice. They have lottery tickets (???) but I can’t even argue with that because I bought two while I waited. The prices were right and the food was ready in a reasonable time.
The bagels were yummy, the coffee was great, but the EGG. ewwwww. I was expected a scrambled egg, but what I got was a hard, sorta-​slimy, just-​cracked-​the-​egg-​and-​let-​it-​cook-​as-​is kind of puck. No flavor, not yummy at all. The whites are too slimy and the yolk is too dense. It really ruined the sandwich, what a tragedy.
Top donut — start scrambling your eggs and you could be my go-​to breakfast spot before work!!!

That’s how I feel about Top Donut. So if you want a donut, if you want a damn good donut or if only the best donut will do, Top Donut reigns supreme in the Valley. Plus at $ 4.99/½ dozen, they’re cheaper than the competition.
Oh, yeah, they sell coffee too.

Tough to really give a lot of accolades to a donut place… after all, donuts are what they are, and unless someone really screws one up, they’re usually pretty OK. Nothing at this Top Donut made me say «I’ll never come here again,» or «wow, this place is better than L’Espalier.» No, Top Donut gave me a cakey cream cheese muffin that had better than average flavor and provided me a medium coffee with just a bit of cream and no sugar. That’s all I asked for, and that’s what they gave me.
Prices were about average ($ 3.19) for the whole thing, service was above average and the parking lot was clean. Good to know it’s here… next time I’m driving into Lawrence I’ll stop by. OK, in my book.
