Went here for lunch had the cuban sandwich it was delicious. My fiancé had the traditional paella he loved it. The service was good, and the wait time was perfect since we got a delicious bowl of banana chips and dip to eat while we waited. This is a must try.

I’ve tried the braised ox tail and the traditional paella and they are excellent. This restaurant is a gem and true to their name by offering several Caribbean specialties. I hope they stick around for the long term.

The food at this restaurant is absolutely amazing! I live in Orlando and my wife’s parents live in Atlanta. A week ago they visited us in Orlando and happened to bring Roasted Pork Shoulder, Paella and Pastelitos from Caribe. We were so impressed by their food, that the next weekend we made the 8 hour trip to Atlanta to go to Caribe. We had a party of 11 and everyone ordered different dishes. Everything was amazing and we were so blown away with the food. No matter what we tried it was fantastic! The portions are huge. Great clean atmosphere with excellent service. This is a must try restaurant!

Just ate at Caribe it was outstanding! It was great to find Dominican food in Lawrenceville. The tilapia was tasty and the yucca appetizer is too. And eat in for the great service with Joel! They also have a bar and live music. I did not stay in town long enough for the music.

Caribe may be my new favorite restaurant! The bar menu makes you feel you’re on a beach. The mojitos and margaritas are amazing! I had the traditional paella, which was the best I’ve ever had. My son had the snapper, which was great too! Caribe is located in a storefront location right off I-85. It’s worth the trip!

Nice! A Cuban inspired eating spot in my current stomping grounds! It didn’t take much to get me in Caribe Bar and Grill, and was definitely hoping to be blown away. First, the positives. Caribe is brand spanking new, only being open for a couple months and the interior is spacious, very clean and has a really polished look to it. There’s a sign out front that says there’s live music, although I suspect that’s in the evening, because for lunch there wasn’t any on a Friday. I was greeted by friendly and energized customer service, who seated me and went over the menu with me. I settled on the Cuban sandwich($ 7.49), which comes with Roasted pork, shaved ham, Swiss cheese, pickles, spicy mustard, mayonnaise in a nice flaky Cuban bread. In addition, you get to choose from one side: homemade potato chips, fried sweet plantains, Cole slaw or a side salad. I went with the homemade chips, and they were great, especially with a little sprinkled salt to flavor them up, and again, the sandwich was pretty big! Where Caribe lost points with me was the actual sandwich itself. The pork was tender but not throughout. So i’d take a bite and get really nice juicy meat, and two bites later, it’s kinda dry. It was listed that there was mayo and mustard on the sandwich, but either they put a very tiny amount or they just didn’t put it, because that creaminess of the mustard/mayo would’ve cut down on the non-tender portions of meat. Customer service was super fast and friendly, getting me seated and on my way in under 30 minutes, and as they’re located in the Publix grocery strip that is filled with several little restaurants, parking is not a problem. Neither is entrance or exit, with multiple exits to all surrounding roads. I do hope Caribe finds its footing and stays here, because it is a welcome addition, but they do have lots of lunch competition for neighbors. I hope for my next visit they get another star or two back. Check them out if you can!

Was really excited to see a Cuban/Carribean restaurants in the area since it seems to be inundated with Mexican places but I wasn’t 100% sold. The food was alright, if you are ordering steaks order them like 2 levels below what you like the cook(I ordered medium) and it was pretty much well done/dry). The server doesn’t seem extremely experienced or know a lot about the menu. I asked him about popular/best dishes and I only got Paella as the answer(no other options). Maybe once they get more experience they will get better.

The place was very welcoming and spacious. I had a cuban sandwich and I have it say that it is pretty good compared to others in the area. It was a good size, with nice melted cheese and good portion of meat. The side of sweet plantains were too oily for my taste but it wasn’t bad. My partner had a grilled chicken plate, which was good. It has a mojito like sauce on top and the chicken portion size was large! Definitely coming back for the Cuban sandwich!

Went there last Sunday and have a great time there with my wife and son. If you are looking for real Dominican food in the area, search no more. The food is simply amazing!!! Since this place is fairly new, they still not serving alcoholic beverages. Had the chance to speak to the owner and his wife and they explained that, they are in the process of getting the license to serve alcohol. No big deal anyways. Overall, nice and super clean place. Will definitely go back again

This place welcomes you with bright yellow walls, and an open dining area, which I liked. I went with their Monday lunch special Cuban Sandwich and was pleasantly surprised by the portion size. The pork is juicy and tender and the bread is also adds another tasty component to the sandwich. The house made potato chips are delicious! I felt like the sandwich could have used a little more flavor(more seasoning on the pork). The few negatives were that our waitress did not have a very strong knowledge of the menu and the food took awhile to come out. But, overall, pretty solid food for the area. This place is also pretty new, so I will definitely be returning after they’ve worked out some kinks in their service and food.
