I have been a Feng groupie since the store opened in 2006. I have found many event dresses and special items over the years, including unique jewelry. Now that the store has moved to the new & improved location of Town Center Crossing and the space is even more inviting, I love it even more! The bright orange doors set the vibe for the invigorating shopping exprerience you will have. The store is well thought out & no design detail is missed. I love my new dress & J-Brand denim! And, my shopping buddy from LA loves it too. Thank you, Feng, for an amazing addition to the KC retail scene. I will continue to bring visitors to KC to your store!

When you enter a retail store in a mall at 119th in Kansas and it feels like you are in one of the most creative boutiques in New York or San Francisco, you know something unusual is going on. Kansas? Feng? What IS going on? Beth Zollars has taken her passion for fashion, Asian culture, and community service and turned it into a dynamic retail experience called Feng. The store feels as much like an afternoon visit with girl friends as it is a place for serious shopping. At Feng the beautiful colors, merchandising, lighting, packaging, jewelry, antiques, teas and the children’s room are intertwined with ancient art and the latest retail fashions. The Feng shopping experience feels like a modern journey on the ancient silk road so it is not surprising that Feng has won dozens of prestigious international design awards. What truly sets Feng apart is Beth’s values, her generosity of spirit and her commitment to inspiring and enlightening the community. Feng is a business and cultural force that is rapidly becoming a jewel of Johnson Country.

What a cool store. Hands down — I implore the women of Kansas City to check this out. I promise, you won’t be disappointed. Asian American women have impeccable taste, especially in the big cities like San Francisco and New York — and now, at least in practice, in Kansas City. The rich fabrics and textures are so unique and couture for half the price — it’s really a very unusual experience to have in Johnson County, where the women like their J. Crew, Banana Republic, and GAP right down the street from each other. The owner, whoever he or she she may be did a phenomenal job decorating the place and filling it with thousands of different pieces. I could have looked for hours, but I didn’t bring my purse — so I had to forget about it. The atmosphere is moody and pensive, the room is large and the wood is very dark. The lighting is low and the cashier knows her stuff — she embodies Asian fashion. To break it down for you, here are the memorable and really cool aspects of the store: 1. The baby/kid room In the back, feng has a little tea green room for children to color and watch TV in while mom shops(genius in JoCo) along with Asian clothing for children. 2. The sale rack. It’s broken down for you by price — which I love. It goes: $ 25 or less, $ 50, $ 75, $ 100, and so one — and the racks are stuffed with tons of different looks. It’s like shopping in a museum. 3. The antiques. Feng sells serious antiques the owner picks up in many different Asian countries while traveling and also in New York and San Fran. To buy these relics, which are strewn around the room as though they were worth the same amount as the clothing, you would have to spend hundreds, if not thousands of dollars. I was shocked to pick up a little stone statuette just hanging out on a counter by the sale rack to have a little tag that read $ 575 under neath it. Wow. There is so much to say about this place — but honestly, I am unable to capture how extraordinary it is in words. It’s an experience you’ll just have to have on your own — GOTHERE. One more thing, having moved back from New York I miss my best girlfriend out there, Verna, who is Chinese. She dresses in the clothing that feng sells and visiting for the first time reminded me of her and I love it all the more for this.
