Wonderful brunch with tasty food and great service! Cheyanne was friendly and attentive who never let drinks go unfilled and offered good recommendations. We will definitely be back!

Salt Hill is more than just another bar. It’s the kind of place where you feel at home and the second you walk in the door you’ll find a bunch of your friends are already there! There really is something for everyone. That makes it so much easier when you have a group of people looking for a good time or you’re solo and looking for something to do. They’ve got a full bar, great beer-on-tap specials, live music, the friendliest staff around, and pub food that’s simple but remarkable. Around here, lifelong locals measure time as BSH and ASH(Before Salt Hill and After Salt Hill). Thank God life is much less of a pain in the ASH era!

I got Chicken wings here and they are some of the best wings in the area. I had Kristin as a waitress and she was great! She was very personable and a great server. Very upbeat and made our experience even better! Great good and awesome service is what I look for in a restaurant. I highly recommend coming here for dinner and draft beer!

We stopped at Salt Hill for quick lunch as I had to fetch my car from the local Nissan dealer after it broke down Monday evening. Pub opened at 11 — good for early lunch — and we grabbed a pint and a glass of pinot grigio and settled into the bar which has a nice copper metal top. Good drink selection with several local beers on tap. The menu was standard pub food that looked good but with a few twists such as the hummus platter and a Guinness stew. So we tried them — good choices we made. Tasty and plenty to eat on both counts … And we noticed there are bands playing every few days — looks like a fun place to hang. Give it a try when in Lebanon.

You would never expect to have this good of food in the location they have. Great Burgers(get the Jake). They pour a proper Black and Tan, Sometimes live music, usually too loud. Sit away from stage. Never had a bad experience.

Though the food is good enough, there seems to be a very high turn over of staff. Constantly have a new bar tender whenever I stop in and it seems to be negatively impacting customer service. Stopped in tonight and sat at the bar only to have everyone continue to walk by without offering me a beverage or menu. They seemed engrossed and interested in their own conversations rather than taking care of customers. Finally grabbed a bar tender and asked if I could order something to which they commented sure and took my order. This place used to be great, with top shelf service, but sadly it seems to have forgotten what that is. I still like it here and still stop in, but no way near how I used to. Too bad.

Good place for groups big and small, the quintessential local hangout. An Irish pub with good food where you’re almost guaranteed to bump into an old friend.

This really is a local watering hole that’s immune to Dartmouth students and obnoxious d-bags and that’s a good thing. Salt Hill is a good time no matter what time of day. Their food is better than you’d expect for a bar with live music and there’s usually seating unless you arrive after 6:30PM any day of the week and then expect to wait unless you don’t mind standing around a bar after a long day @ the office. Parking is plentiful, they keep the heat up pretty warm in the Winter. My only real setback to this fine local establishment is the liquor selection is really only appealing if you’ve never lived in a city. If you love Guinness, Jameson and Harpoon beer you’ll be fine. If you want a nice single-malt or Belgian ale, you’re going to be SOL. That’s fine with me but may not be for others and you should know that before arriving. I wish there was more seating and that the music was a little quieter but I’m probably not the target audience for a pub.

Lots of great vegetarian options, great food, reasonable prices. Desserts are premade affairs, not bad though. Generally, staff is very friendly and helpful. Can get very loud in there; especially if it’s a live music night.

Outstanding. Near perfect. Great atmosphere, comfy seating. Good menu selections including non-meat items. We had fish & chips, which were outstanding. Good service. They were out of some of the IPAs which was unfortunate. Music was scheduled for later in the evening. I would have loved hearing this. I don’t see much Irish music, this would add to the atmosphere in my opinion. But the canned music was good and fun. I loved the T-shirts worn by many of the staff with BEER from the(chemistry) periodic table. Clever and fun. We purchased one for our son-in-law-to-be who was a chemistry major. Many TVs all turned to sports channels, without sound, and this didn’t detract from the experience. I can easily imagine watching the big game here. Fun atmosphere, great for anytime. I shall return, loved it!

The band The Party Crashers performed at salt hill last night. The place was just lit up! People were dancing and singing and having the best time ever. I would encourage everybody to go out to salt hill especially when they have live music! Great beer choices. Lots of local beer on tap.

Had the chance to eat here two times while in VT for colors. Both times this place knocked it out of the park. This place is a pub and kind of loud but not disturbing in the least. Really friendly staff. In fact when your«assigned» waitress didn’t take our drink orders the hostess came over and become our waitress for the night. That is what I call a working staff. It was busy in here and everyone was enjoying the food and TV games. First time: Apps: onion rings and brussel sprouts. Both were fantastic choices. Wow the batter on rings was great. Brussel sprouts were sautéed with bacon and cheese. Would recommend them both. Dinner wife had Mac & Cheese with BBQ Pulled Pork. Big portion so had the rest the next day. Even better warmed up. This was tasty and really interesting. Cheeses were unique and one of the best we both have had. I had the Fish & Chips. Now this is NOT your typical 3 pieces of frozen battered fish. This is one whole plank with a crumb crust that has just the right amount of spices. Fish was tender and moist. Really, really, really enjoyed this fish. I chose the home-made potatoes chips instead of fries and they were fantastic. Just an awesome meal. Second time: We both decided to app it for the meal. Wife ordered the onion rings(again), the chicken wings, and I ordered the Hummus plate and a side of the Home-made chips. Too much good to finish. The wings were very tender and flavorful. What can I say about the rings, still the best around here. My hummus plate was enough for 3 people with pits wedges, home-made hummus, kalamata olives, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese and I ordered the fried falafel and it came with sauce. I couldn’t finish it all. The chips were what they are… some of the best around. Make the effort and get to SHP it will be worth the trip.

Salt Hill is a wonderful addition to the Upper Valley dining scene.(heh!) They have a pretty good beer selection, and the food is delicious. The service is fast and friendly, and most nights they have live music(free!) – which is a definite plus for me. I will continue to come back whenever I’m visiting family in the area.

Just the place I was looking for. Everything was perfect. From the whiskey and food recommendations to the actual food and drink itself, I am a happy camper. I would take a pic of the Mac and cheese but I’m too full and don’t want to look at the massive leftovers I’m taking home right now. I also got a cup of beef stew before that(yes I am a glutton for punishment, my eyes are bigger than my appetite!) and it was thick and delicious. I wish I lived around here, I would surely become a regular. Can’t wait to come on my next visit to NH. I must also mention… the bartender Patrick is an absolute pleasure; attentive and friendly, as was the GM that I spoke with briefly. Keep up the great work SHP Lebanon!

Nachos and Pitchers of Switchback, you don’t need anything else. The ambience was great we went on a Friday evening around 8 and it wasn’t too crowded at all! I met an old friend and my in laws and we got the black bean and pulled pork nachos those were delicious and super fresh! Our waitress came to us at the middle bar stool area and was very friendly! Love the location I’ll be here again with the hubby when visiting family.

A perfect«find» for me, while in town visiting an ill family member. On both occasions, I was allowed to sit in a booth despite the fact that I was on my own. It was pleasant not to be shunted to a tiny table in a corner, as sometimes happens with solitary diners. I’m always thrilled to find Smithwick’s on draft, and … no kidding … I’ve just finished the most delicious burger I’ve ever had: cooked perfectly for me(which is barely), with blue cheese crumbles. Carrie looked after me very well, with good humor and efficiency. Nicely done, Salt Hill Pub! I look forward to returning one day.

Nice place, nice crowd, nice waitresses. Very nice waitresses. One bartender is a dick but $#@! him. If he wants to be a miserable %#$&sucker what do I care?(Is it un-PC to call someone a %#$&sucker nowadays? Ok, he’s a miserable $#@!-off). I always thought the menu was limited but overall a great place to get smashed.

One of a kind in the area. If you are looking for a real establishment — with good food, good music — then you are in the right place. This is a family establishment as well as a nice night place. Trivia is one of my favorite activities every Sunday night. Additionally they rotate their beer which is a huge plus for all beer drinkers. They assist in the community through sponsorship and charities. And if you’re looking for a nice reprieve on Thursday open mic night is great.
