I’ve been to other locations so we were looking forward to this. It was okay, but the prices seemed high and food portions were small. Nice atmosphere but I can make better BBQ at home. Too expensive for my family.

My favorite bbq in KC and that says a lot since KC is home to some masterpiece bbq:). If you can afford it go for the Prime, but when possible share so you can have an incredible dessert!!!

As a native of Kansas City, I’ve tried every kind of barbeque in town. Jack Stack is my favorite by far!

One of the better BBQ places in KC. The service is top notch; the kind you’d expect when you’re paying this much for quality BBQ! The burnt ends are THEBEST in the city! Hands down, one of my favorite places to eat! To finish off your meal, the giant slab of carrot cake drenched in cream cheese frosting is just the thing. It’s heaven on a plate!!!

I just love this barbecue place… I love coming and sitting at the bar, having some happy hour. The barbecue is the best in Kansas City. Imo The employees are always so kind and helpful, great conversation. My favorite meal is the prime rib, but I also love the Cole slaw, baked beans, potato salad and last but not least, the carrot cake, the chocolate molten is pretty right on point too. Give it a try. You’ll enjoy it, I give you my word. No cement truck coming anytime soon.

My husband I came for lunch last Sunday we both got the combo, I got the ribs with Burt ends with beans and fries and he got the burnt ends with sausage with fries and beans, my husbands burnt ends were pretty fatty mine weren’t, I’d say the flavor was pretty good the beans were the best I’ve had ! I think they are way over priced though !

First time there even though I had heard good things about it. Was a great experience all the way through. Our Host greeted us warmly and seated us promptly, while other Hostesses were very friendly as well. Our waiter, Bryan, came right away for our drinks and suggested appetizer. He suggested the onion rings which we ordered a 6 piece. He said they were large and that was understated! they were huge and delicious! great crisp breading and they came with spicy and original BBQ sauce to dip. The original was a bit sweet for me but the spicy was spot on, more mild really. When it came time to order entrees our waiter did a great job going over popular items and helped us a lot. Maria ordered a lunch combo with baby back ribs and BBQ chicken, she chose dark meat, I went with burnt ends and Pulled pork. This way we could try a variety of items. Maria also ordered a side salad. The side salad was really a meal in itself, she said was very fresh, going with a very delicious honey mustard dressing. Our entrees came in a timely manner. She ate a bit of the chicken, and I sampled, was perfectly cook and delicious. I sampled a rib which was awesome. My burnt ends were tender and melt in my mouth good! I sampled my pulled pork which was also awesome. We both had fries which came with our meal, and were perfectly fresh and delicious. By the time we filled up which was soon into our meals we took ribs, BBQ Chicken, pulled pork and fries home. Very generous portions to go along with great taste! with just the two of us it was impossible to sample everything we wanted such as the sides others have mentioned. We saw other dishes such as Salmon and Brisket pass by our table that we will have to try as we will definitely return soon! Great service, friendly staff, Our waiter Bryan was fantastic and very helpful. our empty glasses and plates were removed quickly, refills on drinks arrived without having to ask and before our glass was empty. Lots of seating, the place was packed by the time our lunch was over, Very clean, restrooms were spotless! Huge area for carryout orders(large catering and takeout menu).

Good barbecue most of the time, but a few times it’s been like eating $ 20 fatty sandwich meat with sugary ketchup.

Jack Stack, the gentleman’s suburban Bar B Q, conservative and safe, that doesn’t make it bad by the way, just predictable. Lee’s Summit Jack Stack is no different. Clean establishment, well decorated, service was excellent, food was very good, but It’s always a bad sign when your favorite items at a Barbeque are the side items and appetizers. I love the onion rings and cheesy corn. That’s not good for a place that specializes in meat. Go here, enjoy your food. I do from time to time. Is it great Barbeque, eh, it’s not bad.

We had a family event and all wanted bbq. My husband wanted to go to Gates but was outvoted. When the waiter asked what he wanted to drink he inquired if they had a strawberry soda because«that’s what I get at Gates.» We all started laughing and told the waiter about the vote. When the waiter said«no, we don’t have strawberry soda» he was disappointed. When our drinks came later, he was served a strawberry soda! Needless to say, Jack Stack has won our approval to please the customer above and beyond. The best burnt ends and baked beans I’ve ever had in my entire life. Upscale ambience but not over the top. Big love! It’s the top of the list for me from now on.

I really like Jackstack BBQ for their burnt ends. They have great salad, fries and other dishes as well. They usually have a lunch special once a week as well which is a nice option. The staff is always profession and efficient. Bathrooms are also very clean.

Three generations of the Fiorella family have done Russ proud continuing the BBQ tradition and honing it to a fine point. The classy dark wood and brick interior provides the Lee’s Summit restaurant the environment to indulge. The moment you enter the place the smoked woods vapors smack you up side the head to say, «Hello, y’all!»… from then on it’s halleluha Q brotha & sista. We had the sampler platter that disappeared during a ravenous feasting whose only outward acknowledgement was the de-bonig of meat by gnashing teeth accented by the occasional utterances of growls. Once the smoke cleared at the table, we all reviewed what just happened with sayings like the following: «…best damn beans ever…» «…slaw was crazy good…» «…dark chicken will be memorable…» «…cow & pig ribs were fabulous…» «…chicken & sausage gumbo smoke-wrench our taste buds…» If you are ever in the Kansas City area and get the opportunity to put your BBQ gum-shoe hat on… seek out Jack Stack BBQ. You will leave the place rubbin’ yer belly and pickin’ yer teeth with a Mizz-zur-rah smile!

The best barbeque around! They have the best beans I’ve ever eaten. The Martin City Mayor sandwich is delicious and makes two meals for me! The cheesy corn bake and onion rings are fabulous. I really like their lamb ribs, also… And their beef ribs… And the Crown Prime Ribs(if you’re really hungry)… And, you pretty much get the picture! When I visit friends and relatives from out of town, they pretty much demand that I bring Jack Stack beans!

Happy hour, yes please! Good prices for small plates. Allows you to try a few things, and they only have a few things. The wings were delicious as always. The rest of the foods was just ok at best. Service was great, and the bar area is nice.

My husband and I went to Jack Stack in Lee’s Summit for the first time last night to celebrate a new job opportunity. The atmosphere was very cozy, casual yet classy. The lights were dimmed and had big booths to sit in. I absolutely love the atmosphere there. We had a couple servers and they were very attentive. The girl who made my husbands Arnold Palmer waited to see if it had the right mixture of tea and lemonade then remade it to his liking. The food was great! My favorites were the pit beans and coleslaw. I’ve been hankering for some more today. I also had the lamb ribs and sliced turkey. I was surprised by the turkey. It was very tender and great flavor. The lamb ribs were a little too grisly and gamey tasting for me. I usually love lamb but I guess ribs aren’t as appetizing as a steak. We were never rushed even though they were getting busy toward the end of our meal. I’d come back to this Jack Stack. :)

I love the fact that we have a new restaurant on this side of town! It’s so convenient and close to local shopping and right off the highway as well! The building itself is beautiful, you can tell that no expense was spared in building this newest Jack Stack! My favorite décor details are: the cool shades that lower automatically when the sun is setting as to not blind you while you are eating — and the cool wood grain stone counter at the bar. It’s beautiful! Now on to the most important part… the food! I started with a small garden salad, it was really the size of a dinner salad(add some chicken or salmon and it would be the perfect dinner). It was very fresh and had bacon bits, croutons, shredded carrots and 1 small tomato. The ranch dressing was very good too! I ordered my usual, the Martin City Mayor. I have ordered this for years at different locations, but found it was a bit on the dry side tonight… maybe the new smokers haven’t had time to build up all of the flavor of the Martin City location? I also had some of the baked beans. YUM they are delish! My son had the lamb ribs. I tried one, and was surprised at how good it was; very tender and juicy. Our service was spot on as well. Our server did a great job taking care of us and if at anytime she was unavailable other members of the wait staff would jump in and assist us(without us asking). I love the soft lighting of this location as well as the décor and comfy feel! I hope this location does very well and sticks around for a very long time!

Finally a great restaurant in Lees Summit. Not another chain and not Mexican. We needed this. Plus it is KCBBQ at it’s best. As good as any other Jack Stack and they are all good(although they are different) Service from the bar staff is off the charts and well the food the food… like I said KCBBQ at it’s best. Joe’s and Q39 are great but they could learn a few things like consistency from JS. Every plate every rib or sandwich is top notch here. Eat here and eat here often. Tip your bartender well we want this group to stay here a long long time.

Jack Stack… cheesy corn is the best! I know this is a chain and there are better BBQ’s out there, but I always find myself coming back to Jack Stack’s when I’m in town. The food were great, the corn, the beans, the meats and even the spinach salad was amazing. Our server was really kind and very accommodating. She even split our salad in 1/3’s without our asking. The drinks were cold and this new location is massive. I have always received great food and service at different Jack Stack and I will always be back for the cheesy corn. Yum!
