Worst pizza I’ve had in a long time and the service was horrible. Went in today for a quick lunch and just ordered pizza by the slice. Cheese for my daughter and pepperoni for me. Upon picking up the slice I had a good teaspoon of grease dripping on and down my hand. It tasted like it had been sitting in the warmer for quite sometime. Couldn’t ask for extra napkins because the girl who took our order never asked us how things were… we were even sitting at the counter and she filled drinks in front of us… which was gross to watch because as she filled the glasses, she would take the individually wrapped straw out of the plastic wrapper, hold it with her bare hands and put it in the drink, while holding the top where your mouth went this after handling money, touching the register and other surfaces. I can’t tell you her name, the only words she spoke were«what can I get you» no name, no «you’re welcome» when I said thank you and no checking back in with us. My daughter even commented how rude she was. Another waitress had cleared a table and brought dishes back behind the counter to put in a dirty bucket and literally threw them in there with a loud crashing sound. Haven’t felt well the rest of the day after that pizza and service, or lack there of. I won’t ever return to Main Slice!

My family’s all time favorite! We bring our out of town family here and it’s always a hit! Pretzels and Maui Waui are out of this world! Great atmosphere.

Bubbling cheese, crispy toppings, chewy but not overdone crust, — what could be better? Well, pair that cheesy goodness with a Harvest Salad made of greens, apples, pears, pecans, cranberries and BACON, then you’ve got it made. Enjoy this spot frequently, I’m always of fan of any pizza slice that is bigger than my hand. Ha! Great variety on their menu, the Cry’n Hawaain with Jalapeños had us in tears. Full tummies + a reasonable tab = a great night out for pizza :-)

Maui Waui pizza is awesome! We also like the depot dip with flat bread. Great atmosphere and nice wait staff and owners! We will be back, again!

I really wanna go 4.5 stars as this is our very very favorite pizza as a family. When we travel or whatever now, every pizza we get is compared(mostly by my 10 year old son) to Main Slice. Thing is, nothing has ever equaled or topped them. The only reason for the .5 stars removed would be the inconsistency. The pizza can vary from time to time and, at one time, the crust was completely different(though it was argued differently by those working there.) In addition, there’s been at least 2 times(out of 15 or so) where our order was gotten wrong… really wrong. It’s not entirely new, but not a seasoned operation either, so we forgive. Again, this joint rocks it. Plain and simple. For NY style pie in the Lees Summit area, it can’t be beat. P. S. I have yet to drive my pizza loving son to Columbia to have some Shakespeare’s, but he’ll be floored when we do. And that’s a tough admission coming from a Jayhawk alum(myself).

Great pretzels and cheese, pizza was really good too. Service was so so. Needed refills on drinks a good 15 minutes before waitress checked in. Had a coupon and would go again if we had another one as the pizza is a bit over priced.

My husband and i absolutely love this place. Our favorite is the Rueben pizza and the pretzels with cheese. Their pie of the month has 4 different types of sausage on it and is also very tasty. The crust is thin and crispy on all the pizzas which helps it to not take away from the spectacular ingredients they use. PS we also recommend the Philly but the Rueben is number one on our list

The service, time after time, is way above par. Hottie Toddy can not be replaced. Pat, with the blue eyes, is fantastic. I had the Abe Froman pizza this evening… fantastic. If it can be turned into sausage, it is on this awesome pizza.

Great food, great bar area to catch a game, just not blown away with anything in particular. I guess it’s just a pizza place for adults or trying to play into the upscale downtown Lee’s Summit vibe. You could do worse but you could also do better. Overall, I’d recommend.

Excellent pizza, beer selection, service, and atmosphere. One of my favorite local Lee’s Summit restaurants for dinner.

Main Slice is our favorite place to eat in downtown Lees Summit. The Service is good and efficient, the atmosphere is sports bar relaxed and building charming. It’s clean and family friendly. The Depot Dip is the best spinach artichoke dip I’ve had in the kcmo area sports bar scene. Their pizzas go from gourmet combos of traditional and out there, to basic cheese. They taste great with plenty of fresh toppings. The Harvest Salad there is outstanding and goes great with the Depot Dip. Very good beer selection and decent wines.

If you are picking something up, Main Slice is great. If you are doing dine in, forget it. Used to have a wonderful waitress, Emily, but I haven’t seen her. Rest of the folks make you feel like you are putting them out. I asked a waitress to do half pepperoni and chicken, she smugly looked at me, and said, «we can’t do that…» Really, since when? Then the other day I walked in to place an order. We were ignored by staff for the longest time, then I asked can I put in order, the gal said, «we are too busy…» needless to say we went elsewhere. I think they could have a stellar set up if they offered even average service.

I’m giving a generous 3 stars. If I could give 2 ½ I would. I’ve now been here 4 times and have a pretty good idea of how I feel about this place. Setting, good. Food, ok. Service, indifferent. The place… I like the old town LS feel. Love the brick wall. Clean, simple, nice. Good TV coverage for sports. Nice bar. The food… love the pretzels! Now the pizza looks great, it just isn’t anything special when you take a bite. Knowing that every else tastes things a little differently, this is my opinion. The crust is my kind of crust, BUT, it’s just bland. Not sure what it’s missing, but just bland. Sauce is not the kinda of sauce I typically like on pizza. You may love it, I just don’t. Maybe a bit too rich. Toppings, could be a bit more generous. Cheese, good. Have had 3 different pizzas and they were just Ok. Service…oh the wheels just come off here. As you’ve no doubt read from others, it’s just not good. Having experienced this EVERY time I’ve been there, and seeing other’s experiences, I’d say if it quacks like a duck… the indifferent lack of attention and personality make coming here akin to going to a Subway. So there you have it. Maybe you’ll like the food. You probably won’t like the service. The space is kinda cool.

I had been hoping for some place in Lee’s Summit to have pizza by the slice(other than Quick Trip) and finally spotted Main Slice. Stopping in around noon today I found it not to crowded so sat down an waited for a server. When she finally showed up she brought a menu and took my drink order(just a Coke, but they do have a full bar with a dedicated bar tender). When she returned I ordered a single slice of Italian Sausage pizza. Interestingly, I was served a slice of pepperoni pizza. Hmmm The menu lists a great selection of pizza and other specialties, but I held to my hankering for pizza. The pizza is pretty standard thin crust with a tasty sauce, smooth cheese, and tangy toppings. While not as good as Imo’s or Waldo Pizza’s thin crust, it is OK. The price for the single slice and soft drink was $ 4.35, so it is not overpriced. Back to the service: I ended up taking my bill up to the register and waited until my server showed up carrying a hand full of receipts from another table. As I waited I dug out a $ 5 bill, a quarter, nickel, and four penny’s. When she finally finished the other receipts she took them back out to that table. Once again she returned and said that she would have to «get» a $ 1 bill for my change, and left again. Trying to help, I slipped back to my table and retrieved my $ 1 tip, stopped by the table she was serving and said, «I’ve picked up my tip so go ahead and keep the change.» So here it is: The pizza’s OK, the décor is standard«old town Lee’s Summit, the menu is inviting, parking is good for the area, and it sure would be nice if they could train their wait staff. Will I be back? Maybe.

The service was ok, but the variety of specialty pizzas wqs unique. We tried three 9 inch specialities, the toppings were all fresh and the new york style crust was perfect. I will come back.

Maui Waui pizza and Buffalo Chicken pizza are my favorites. Tonight I tried the Chipotle Cheesesticks with bacon and that was a great choice also. It is a great environment to bring your family or hang out at the bar and have adult beverages

Walked in on a Friday night and was told by other patrons at the door that it was«first come, first serve.» We waited about 10 minutes and didn’t talk to a server or manager or anyone. A fellow guest let us know there were 2 seats at the bar so we took a seat. Made eye contact with the bartender and she didn’t acknowledge us. We saw a stack of menus on the edge of the bar so we took a gander. Still no visit from a staff member, we waited a bit longer until we decided to take our business down the road to Waldo Pizza. Pretty generous rating considering we were never even offered food from this establishment. Is this place new? They should probably address their operation issues.

I really enjoyed this place. Sat at the bar and had a great bartender. So far I have only had a calzone and it was good. The crust was excellent! First visit was great and I will be back. Will also update with more visits.

Similar to what other people are saying, adequate service isnt there, I wish it was because the food was actually pretty good. From my experience, I called in an order, and was told 15 to 30 minutes so to me that’s a weird estimate. Anyways nearly an hour later I’m still waiting. Total wait time was 56 minutes for a calzone. A calzone! They had me pay first or I would’ve left. Funny thing is the bartender avoided eye contact for the entire time i waited at the bar and offered no water or perhaps i wanted to buy a beer… service. Rude.
