Pier 1 Imports

Most unhelpful group of employees. Manager couldn’t have been ruder and she certainly didn’t want to make a sale. I went to the pier 1 in Gainesville, Va and they couldn’t have been more helpful. Will make it a point to never go to the leesburg store. Suggest anyone with any sense go elsewhere.

This has always been my go-​to place for outdoor and patio furniture and cushions to complement them. This year, they did not disappoint. Still have very interesting items in both wicker and metal. Some friends shop here for decorative pieces for their homes. I pretty much stick with the items listed above, but I’ve also bought some really nice Italian made dishes here. I’m not big on their candle/​potpourri items though.
You can score some good deals at the end of season sales. I’m a platinum member, so I get 30% off on the second Tuesday of every month. It pays to shop here if you’re looking for pieces that you won’t have to replace every year.

Sales associates were not helpful at all. I’m a very descriptive person and I knew exactly what I wanted from the Pier 1 website. I know they may not have all the inventory in the store that is on the website, but I went there and described the item I was ready to purchase. She went to look in the back and never got back to me. After aimlessly wondering through each corner of the unorganized store I had to find her and she said «oh we forgot — we never do that» (right!). I asked did you find anything and she showed me something that she thought was right but it wasn’t. I said no problem maybe you can pull it up on your online site. Well they can’t do that in their store and she asked me for the sku number. Hmmm — who works for Pier 1? Me or Her? Why would I know the sku number off the top of my head. My iPhone was dead so I went to a much more friendlier and helpful Pier 1 Imports in Manassas, VA.

The quality has gone down hill but if you are looking for a couple accent pieces this place has some items that are priced well. I really like the wicker they offer and sometimes they have it on sale.
