Had my daughters first birthday party here. They didn’t have any of the stage and decorations we paid for, they ran out of alcohol, bartender went Mia and started cleaning up 2 hours prior to our allotted time. Bait and switch at its finest. Food is decent, but don’t book for an event.

Good food, quaint little restaurant. It’s a great place to sit back, relax and enjoy good conversation and good food. The price is in line with what you get. I got spinach paneer with garlic naan for less than $ 20 with tip. It was more than I could eat so left overs were welcome. The ambience is charming. The music in line with the food and culture but not blaring over the speakers. The music was at a perfect level to add to the ambience of the restaurant. This restaurant is set in the CLARiON Hotel which makes it seem a little strange. Don’t let this for you, this restaurant is well worth a try. Stop by and try the spinach paneer and garlic na’an, you won’t regret it.

I didn’t know this place existed! My boyfriend and I were craving Indian last night and realized that there is no longer Angeethi in Leesburg. We found this place on Unilocal.Finding it was interesting. Strange location with the hotel so I was a little wary. Once we walked in, I was no longer concerned. The service was amazing and I loved the ambience. It was so peaceful and the music was perfect. The food they brought out while we were waiting was amazing. I don’t know what it was called, but I could have eaten it all night. I looked at the menu and wanted everything on it. I finally settled on Shamsavera Kofta. The spices in it were perfect! My boyfriend and I got garlic na’an to go with our food and it was soooooooo good. Simply put, everything was perfect. Service, food, and atmosphere were spot on. I world come back here every night if I had the money. I will be back again soon! So glad to discover this place!!!

The butter chicken(spicy/hot) here was amazing. I was a little on the fence when my friend recommended me to try out this place since it was so empty, but I’m really glad she did. Don’t be frightened by the reviews; I think this place is definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in Loudoun County!

Not an Indian food expert, but enjoy it a few times a year. The food at Silk was well below enjoyable, but better than terrible. The environment is as if you’re dining on an empty electrical wire spool with a table cloth on it, in your uncle’s shady New York City style loft on the bad part of town. The service is friendly, but bring your patience if there’s more than two tables dining. Naan is average, Korma is okay, tandoori is forgettable. Take the time to drive to Cascades plaza for good Indian dining instead of settling for anywhere in Leesburg, let alone Silk. Parking is whack here too.

Came back for the second time today. Great food. Just right. Had the tiki masala and Naan. Tried the cheese appetizer but wasn’t my favorite. Everything else was great.

I had Silk Banquet cater & host my Indo-chinese wedding. I am Indian, my wife is Chinese, and we were going for something that was elegant, simple and mixed our traditions. Silk Banquet hit an out of the park home run. The banquet hall is located inside the Leesburg Clarion. Andrew Mercer(& his boss Sanjeev) are very knowledgable about indian cuisine & traditions. They are both very easy to work with and straight forward. He won’t pull last minute BS on you. The Loudon room itself was very nice. The only minor distractor is that you enter the banquet hall from a nondescript side entrance. Andrew has a room stocked with decorations for the stage(or mandap if you want one). The setup was very elegantly done and the sound equipment worked flawlessly and clearly and was easy to use. He stayed around for the first few hours to ensure everything went smoothly. The food was absolutely delicious … easily amongst the best indian food I’ve eaten in terms of quality(I’m very particular when it comes to indian food). He gave us a very wide selection of foods on the menu & also has«special» menus, such as Gujarati add on, or asian add on, etc if you want it. Apparently, its the same chef who prepares the lunch buffet for the indian restaurant inside the Clarion, so I’m a bit surprised by middling restaurant food quality reviews(can’t speak to restaurant service though, but everytime I’ve been there, at least the bartender was there). Banquet prices were very reasonable, though alcohol prices fall under strict state of VA regulations. I would totally & absolutely recommend them if you want to do an indian-themed wedding or event. He also does american weddings, too. His prices were affordable enough to use even for a lower-key event like a family reunion, sweet 16, milestone birthday, etc.

I really loved the food. Though I didn’t find much busy because of location and less staff. But quite good in terms of Indian cuisines. Delicious !!

Great food! The only thing about this place is that they can’t handle more than 2 or 3 tables. I asked for coffee with my dessert and the waiter said«we can’t make coffee, the kitchen is too busy». They were also out of a lot of menu items and the service was very slow once a party came in. I’d come back just for the food.

I went here for the lunch buffet last Saturday. The food looked yummy and the ambience was nice. But I was deceived as the saying goes«never judge a book by its cover». Worst food experience in the united States till date. The chicken was half cooked, none of the items were hot. There was not enough salt in any of the dishes and none of the items were hot. Frankly the water tasted the best in the entire buffet. To make matters worst me and my family had a severe stomach upset two hours after eating lunch at this place… Not recommended

Excellent food and service. The food was prepared to the level of spice that I requested. I was pleased with every aspect of the meal. This was not my first visit and certainly won’t be my last.

DONOTORDERFROMTHEMONLINEANDPAYINADVANCE! I ordered from them on Eat24 and had a friend go pick it up. The guy INSISTED that he pay again, which he did, so they ended up double billing us. He also got all indignant about the fact that a tip wasn’t included. A tip? 1) We were picking it up. and 2) I DID include a tip when I ordered. I don’t think this was a simple mistake. It was blatant fraud. (Eat24 is awesome though. They refunded me the money quickly after I told them about the double charge.)

I would give Silk a 5 stars for food. The buffet was one of the best I’ve had in DC, McLean, Tysons Corner, or Rockville area. Yup… damned good. We got there at opening and the buffet was full with many delights. All food was well seasoned, the meats were tender and delicious. I even enjoyed the veggie dishes. But, the location just is old and dingy hotel. This location will kill this restaurant. I will be back for the buffet but, definitely not for the surroundings.

Silk was one of the first Indian restaurants I tried in Leesburg. The first time I ate in with a girlfriend and the food was alright(although I had little to compare to). Our service was disappointing. The male waiter become a little too friendly, asking us personal questions and inquiring about my business. I explained what field I’m in, and he was interested in learning more information so I gave him my business card and said to email me if he would like more information. This is where it becomes inappropriate– the waiter continued to come to our table(before the entrees even arrived) asking repeatedly about my business. I explained several times that I would be able to speak further at another time as I was trying to enjoy my dinner with a friend. After leaving the restaurant that evening the waiter proceeded to call my business line several times, and sent text messages not inquiring about business– but inviting me out for a drink. The disappointing and creepy service ended up crowding our view of Silk. We will not be returning. Months later I ordered take out(and had some one else go in to pick it up) in an attempt to give their food a second chance. This was equally disappointing as they messed up our order and the masala sauce was instant heartburn. I highly encourage anyone thinking about visiting Silk(or even purchasing one of their many deals online) to try one of the other many Indian restaurants in the area.

My husband and I really wanted to like this place. We love indian food and this is within walking distance of our house. Unfortunately it’s just not very good. We’ve only been for the lunch buffet, so I can’t comment on ordering directly from the menu. We’ve been to this place at least 5 times. The buffet is small compared to other indian restaurants. For our first visits the food was just okay. Good enough to go back since it was so close, but they have been declining each time. The last time we went we both felt like we were being fed food from a cafeteria/trough. The food was old, dried, burnt, mostly sauce where all the meat had been scooped out, etc… We both felt sick when we left. Like we had eaten at a dirty mess hall. I would not recommend this place. We will not be going back. There are so many other options for indian food in the area that are just a little farther away.

Went there for lunch buffet on a Saturday at about 1.30 pm. Our group included 6 people. Most of the dishes in the buffet including the Mango lassi, Indian Chaai, chicken and appetizers were empty and we requested the manager/server for a refill since there was almost ~45 minutes to closing. The manager said he would bring them out shortly but no refills came and it was past 2 pm. We approached the manager and asked him what was going on and since we were paying full price($ 13.99 per person), having 4 empty dishes was wrong. The manager tried to make a lame excuse of saying that they had a private party going on and the kitchen was busy catering to the private party. In the end, to put the icing on the cake, our table was charged a mandatory 18% gratuity for less than 1 star service and food. Will never return to this restaurant and also advise fellow Unilocalers to visit other(better) options in the Ashburn area for Indian food/buffet.

I went here for the lunch buffet. The parking was around the side of a holiday inn. The restaurant is apart of a whole banquet hall thing. I went in not expecting much due to there only being 1 other table having lunch. I was pleasantly surprised. My favorite things to get are paneer palak, butter chicken, tandoori chicken, and the biryani rice. They didn’t have as many options as other well known Indian places with lunch buffets, but I gotta say the food was really good. The butter chicken reminded me why I like butter chicken. Some places serve butter chicken and you feel like you are literally eating a stick of butter. … gross. That wasn’t the case here. The sauce was very smooth and savory no big butter taste. 4 star lunch just for that. The paneer was also very good. I had 2 helpings of that. The tandoori chicken was a little cold, but still very good for lunch buffet. The meat was fully cooked with the right amount of spice. There were 2 different rice dishes, both were very good. One was a plain zoorba rice the other a chicken biryani dish. Though, they were both rice dishes each had very distinct flavors. That is something I noticed about everything served. It never felt like I was eating the same thing just prepared a different way. Everything had a unique taste. I didn’t get to try the Garlic Naan bread. I asked for it, but the guy said they only had the plain Naan which was prepared for the lunch buffet. I would really like to go back for a non-buffet meal to see how that goes. + Food + Price($ 13 lunch buffet) — no garlic naan with lunch buffet — bad parking — no real interaction with staff

If you go here and don’t get the garlic naan, I will find you, let all the air out of your tires, toilet paper your house, and insult you publicly in front of your family. Don’t test me, I’m in no mood for your insubordination. It’s not that hard. You simply go to the restaurant, order the garlic naan, eat it, and then rejoice aggressively with the other patrons. I recommend stretching out before you go because you may wind up doing backflips or getting assaulted from your enthusiasm. Either way it is better to be limber.

Thank god the food is delicious, because this is Leesburg’s only option for Indian food. Seriously, what beats an Indian buffet? Nothing. Thai and Chinese buffets are close but no match. If you like Golden Corral, please stop reading and take a moment to re-evaluate your life. The dinners are very nice as well. I like to pair the murg makhini(butter chicken) with some naan bread, and a movie at the Cobb 12. Perfect evening with the wifey. I’ve eaten here about 10 times, and each time the food was delicious. Service was ok. But I don’t go out to dinner for the pampering or to be waited on, I come to bathe my taste buds in scrumptious, spicy, rich, flavorful goodness. Seriously, the one star ratings hardly seem warranted. Makes me wonder if they would give 5 stars to the utmost prompt and courteous service of a hot pocket. Can you name a single restaurant in Leesburg that has better food? No, you can’t. If you can appreciate delicious Indian Cuisine, and the taste and quality of your food is a top priority, you need to check this place out.
