Smith’s Marketplace

What a great place to shop for your groceries and anything else you might need. I was able to stock my kitchen with everything I needed and also able to buy some furniture and wall hangings as well. Very friendly and helpful staff, this will be my neighborhood grocery.

We have been shopping at this location for over a year now. While it seems to have everything you would ever need it’s all very cluttered. My biggest complaint with this location is them not rotating stock and clearing out items that are close to their expiration. I am constantly buying groceries that are days away from expiring and it drives me crazy! I do put blame on myself because I know that this location is horrible about checking dates but I by now should be better at checking before I buy. I have thrown away so much money on food, produce, meat and dairy. This location is closer to my house but at this point I’m making the drive down to the draper Harmons

If I could give no stars, I would. This store is FILTHY! It stinks like rot by the meat department, and the aisles are always a mess. The produce is absolutely terrible and they are usually out of everything so plan on having to go elsewhere for produce. The organic selection of produce and meat is essentially non existent. They are out of half of the items I shop for most of the time. Save yourself the headache and go shop at harmons on Costco.

Its sorta surprising how much this place has. I’m not sure I’ve been to many grocery stores that offer furniture on one side, and clothes on the other. Starbucks and electronics in the middle. Fairly cool, and more than handy. We come here a lot.

We have shopped here for years (1550 E 3500 N) but today I had a horrible experience due to an arrogant and rude cashier. Chase is his name and he acted like it was a nuisance to check out my groceries. When I asked if I could keep a container of baby puff cereal out of the bags so I could keep feeding them to my 8 month old who was hungry he looked at them and me and said «whhhhaaatt!!!» As is he had never heard of such a thing. Then I told him I didn’t have my rewards card and asked if he could look up my phone number. He rudely snapped back that he couldn’t look it up, that «YOU can enter it in». I had never done that so I asked where to enter it. He sighed a most annoyed sigh/​groan and snapped «Right Here!!» and pointed to his register and rolled his eyes! In my mind I just thought «oh, sorry. Why’d you tell me to enter it then?» and I simply gave my number. Then when I tried to use Apple Pay he seemed furious and told me «It’s not going to work». It had been sluggish in the past so I thought you just had to finesse it a bit but he did not have the patience for that. I don’t know why, I was the only one in his line. Luckily I had grabbed my debit card on the way out the door, but what if I hadn’t? I have worked in customer service for 20 years and this is no way to treat a customer. I was so flustered by the end that it was all I could do to get out of there. They have lost my business and as soon as Harmons is completed, we won’t be shopping at smiths anymore.

This is a Smith’s. It’s a Smith’s Marketplace so that means it has a clothing section. And other stuff. I guess. It’s a pretty standard grocery store, except that it has a salad bar (by the pound), an olive bar and their little gelato section. Seems nice, though it was in the middle of a remodel when I went there. Again. Smith’s. It sells food and other human necessities.

Today I went shopping on the dreaded day before thanksgiving. I was expecting a hectic grocery store visit. Instead I was so happy to walk into a clean store, almost every single register had someone checking people out so there was no more than 2 people in line, a store full of associates stocking shelfs and helping customers find their last minute thanksgiving items. I was VERY impressed. Well done smiths market place in lehi!

I love this place! The produce is always fresh and they always have what I need when I need it. They’re open until midnight. And if anything else existence of the store has kept me from having to shop at Walmart at the last minute. A superior alternative indeed.

I love this place. It’s right here by my work, and is so convenient to look for anything. And typically can find a deal on something there. Just a great place to shop. Love the design and layout of the store, too.

«Super Store» You can find just about anything here. The store is about 4 years old but still appears new. In addition to groceries there are sections for clothing, shoes, hardware, furniture, office supplies, sporting goods, jewelry and just about anything you can think of. Store is always clean and employees are friendly. The only negative that I can think of is that the store is too big if you only need a couple grocery items. I’m not a big price comparison shopper so I don’t know how it compares to other stores regarding value but I’m confident that just about anything you need can be found here.

Hello Unilocal.It me, Scott S. I’ve been neglecting you a bit lately but today I’d like to talk you about Smiths F&D. Or should I say, Smiths MP. Store 119 as they identified in the biz is my hearts desire when it comes to my shopping experience. Upon my first visit I noticed that place was stuffed, deep in the jeans its wearin’, I’m hooked and I cant stop starin’ OH BABY, I want to get with you, and take your picture, Harmons, Fresh Market Dans tried warn me but that place you got makes me so…
The market place, or MP as I like to call is my knick knack paddy wack give this dog a bone. Need to some Hanes Beefy T’s, Preperartion H, and 4 piece table top dining set all in the same trip? DONE! How about some hair gel, throw pillows, and sheet metal screws? Bang bang choo choo train! Mens, women, kids clothing, full line grocer (I’d name them all for pal but you know what a grocery store has), electronics, home improvement, décor, home furnishing, pharmacy and probably at least 2 or 3 other departments I’m forgetting. Get bent Archer Farms and Great Value, this train of terrificness proudly supports the KROGER army.
Hate reaching back a mile to grab your product thats in the deepest darkest and gloomiest part of the shelves? Me too. But guess what? Not here. I’m convinced they faces the store like 120 times an hour. Speaking of efficiency, try and find a time when you go for a cart or those cute little mini carts and there isn’t one. These folks are the fastest cart gatherers west North of Utah Lake.
Rewards? Yeah. They play that game. Why not stack your points and enjoy a little less pain at the pump. Word of caution however, use them or lose them. (I think its quarterly)
Service? How about service with a mother truckin’ smile! I’m thinking Mr. Kroger himself must give the employees balloons and puppies every time they work because they always seem to glad to be working.
Love shopping here. Great location to SunCrest/​Traverse Mountain and its got everything from A to Z.

Lend your ears and eyes to the words of wisdom in the review by Rick H, for he hits the nail right on the head. In this part of the world, this neck of the woods, Smith’s Marketplace is the big player and perhaps only player. Folks come down from Suncrest. The northern Lehi ‘burbs pop in for one-​stop shopping. Convenience is the name of the game, and that’s what they offer in spades.
Aisles and aisles of everything-​you-​needs. From shampoo to bowls to produce to towels to canned and frozen foods, dairy, bakery, garden, and home improvement. It’s convenience under one massive roof.
And when you’ve got that kind of volume, you can definitely tinker with the prices. Tinkering in the good way, that is. You can sell a massive family pack of thick pork loin chops for $ 4. But when you’re not blowing them out on sale, you’ll pay $ 12 for that same pack.
Smith’s (aka Kroger) is all about that data-​harvesting loyalty card business model. Why not just put it on sale? That’s not their game. It’s on sale, but they want you to scan your barcode first. And those sales can be quite deep. But if it’s not on sale, chances are you’re paying more for the regular-​price items. Not egregious amounts more. A few cents here. A few cents there. Ten bucks or twenty bucks a trip. That’s the convenience charge.

Been shopping at Kroger all my life being from the South. Now I do all my shopping at Smith’s.
Wide variety of goods and fresh produce/​fruit.
Prices on somethings can be a little high, but other things can definitely be cheaper.

My favorite store. I could live there. Deli has great Diet Pepsi refills.

Smiths is a beautiful store with a selection that is well above average for the area. Prices are definitely higher than the other nearby grocery stores, but you can also find some great deals.

I love Smith’s. Simple, straight-​forward department store. Full-​service grocery side. Very helpful pharmacy staff. Love Smith’s shopper-​card, with gas discounts and their rebate plan.

What do I love about Smiths? They’re close to my home, convenient, and the service is friendly. Also, their sales are outstanding. What don’t I love? If an item is not on sale, it is almost always priced substantially higher than the competition.
When this Smiths first opened, I was impressed by the great variety of fruits and vegetables available. Sadly, that only lasted for a short time. Now its just the typical stuff. And, if they do have any of the less typical items, they’re expensive. For example, a few days ago I wanted some BABY bok choy. At Smith’s it was $ 4.99 per pound. At another store I frequent the same item is always available and consistently $ 1.49 per pound (which is Smith’s price for regular bok choy). Another example, Gouda cheese at Smith’s, $ 9.99 per pound. I usually pay about $ 4 per pound elsewhere (and no, that’s not a sale price).
I go to Smiths when I just need a quick item. I wish I could shop there regularly because their location is so convenient, but I can’t justify paying that much more for my groceries.
