Great bike shop with great people. I went to seven different bike shops in the KC area, trying at least 15 or more bikes. Velo+ was the best experience. The owner makes you feel like a good friend.

I got an old Mongoose from a buddy of mine that said it was in «perfectly shape». Upon getting the bike and inspecting it and looking at the dry rotted tires, broken cables, and overall horrible condition I ran it over to the guys to have them look at it before I threw it into the dumpster. Now I have to say that I had already been into the shop a few times and had felt a good vibe(not to mention coffeehouse quality coffee), after spending some time looking at the bike Tim gave me an estimate of what it was going to cost and thoroughly went thru what they wanted to do and why. I just picked up my bike last night and was blown away at the new shiny bike Tim handed me. After taking it for a nice ride last night everything was perfect, now keep in mind we literally replaced everything on the bike except the seat and EVERYTHING was perfect. I couldn’t be more happy with the entire experience. I will do all my business here moving forward and would recommend them to anyone in the area.

A shop run by a group of enthusiastic cyclists. They can cater to the roadie shaving grams and the family looking to get some quality ride. And Vincent is roasting some tasty coffee beans. They also have a dedication to supporting other local businesses with a selection of locally made products and events.

I’m so happy that there’s such a cool shop so close to where I live! I’ve been in a few times just to hang out and check out the bikes, but today I came in to have some new brake pads installed on my bike. Tim checked out my bike and made sure all I needed was just new brake pads, then took my bike in the back to install the new ones. He gave me a cup of coffee while I waited. The coffee was so good I decided I had to bring some home with me, and Tim even helped me pick out a blend. For the new brake pads, the installation and coffee I paid just under $ 30 so it was much cheaper than I expected. I’m glad I had Velo+ install the brakes for me because I didn’t want to end up riding off a cliff or something.

I had David and Tim assemble my State Bicycle Co. Galaxy bike and took care of me like family. The do quality work and in a timely manner. When I picked it up it looked amazing. The day I got to ride my new bike after a long work week it wasn’t sounding like a new bike should. The bottom bracket was faulty but rest a sure David and Tim took care of the issue and treated me like a long time customer. This has proven to me that they know there business and know customer service. I will only take my bike needs to there shop and have become life time customer. Coffee was amazing too!

Bikes, coffee, & beer. Enough said. After just relocating from San Francisco, I was looking for a great shop that was unpretentious, yet knew their craft. This is the place. Great guys willing to spend time with you to talk bikes, coffee, and beer. Check them out.

This is a unique shop for the Kansas City area. Located in a classic storefront in old downtown Lenexa, it carries bike brands and styles that other shops don’t focus on. Rather than catering to racer-types, the shop carries bikes and gear for everyday cycling, bicycle touring, gravel rides, adventure rides, fat biking, and so on, much of it surprisingly affordable. The custom frame shop is also a welcome service, as is the in-shop coffee roastery and coffee bar. I really love this shop’s vibe. It’s the best(or at least my favorite) shop in Johnson County. Great customer service and friendly staff.

a little bit different bike store, with a coffee bar in the front, the staff is amazingly friendly, I was shopping for my new tri bike and had one picked out at Bike America, but hit their website and figured I HAD to check out the store before making my purchase. The owner spent a lot of time showing me some bikes in my range, and fitting me for a test ride, and then grabbed one of his own bikes and went out riding around the neighborhood with me. totally unexpected, and I loved the Masi, so went with it. so far it has been a great bike for the Ironman 70.3 and the 5150 and will be shipping with me down to Florida for the Powerman Duathlon. their selection is less than what you will find at some of the bigger shops, but they make up for it with style.

Best. Ever. I took my bike in to have the tires replaced. My bike is just a run-of-the-mill Univega, about 25 years old. The staff was terrific! Replaced the tires on the spot(not sure if this can always happen), with no hassle. I paid for just the parts, as the labor took about 10 minutes. These guys ROCK. I won’t be going anywhere else for my cycling needs. Looks like they have some awesome plans for on-site coffee roasting as well. Don’t miss this place.

This friendly shop in Old Town Lenexa has the distiction on having a coffee shop(MAPS) inside, where you may smell beaning being roasting at any time. That sure beats the smell of WD40 and TriFlow! The main brand carried is Kona… with a smattering of clothing including Twin Six stuff. The shop is extensive and looks to be capable of more than simple bike repairs. Also available by appointment is professional fitting. If you are going to log substantial miles, a fitting every few years is a great way to increase your enjoyment and performance. If you are racing or you have any physical issues caused by biking or that make biking difficult, I consider a professional fitting a must.

Friendly and helpful folks with an eye towards classic steel, single speed and quality bicycling gear. I love their selection of gear, bikes and the uniqueness of having coffee, classes on touring, repair and frame building and the friendly atmosphere.
