Best of the best Colombian food!!! This is authentic Colombian food! The owners are very friendly and nice. Everything here is so good my favorite plate is the pollo a la plancha

This place is not worth the 4 stars it has! The food is totally overprice, they also say the juices are made from fresh fruit which is another lie! We got several plates and we didn’t like more than half of the food we had. On the good side, the arepas and chicharrones are good! The coffee is Organa coffee which is another bad thing, terroble flavor! Super greasy food and they even served you rotten avocados. You will leave the restaurant smelling terrible!

Been looking at a good colombian spot in town and seems like I found it! The empanadas are a good appetizer with that salsa. The tropical drinks are plentiful so great variety. Friendly staff makes the warm environment that much brighter. The specialty plates are a necessity to try mmmm campbellsgood.

It was an intimate vibrant environment. The colors, tiny stage, and tv made it interesting. I think I may have attended fruty coma on the best possible day because Colombia was playing against Uruguay. Some local Colombians attended with their soccer jerseys. Unfortunately, the digital reception for the game was weak. I didn’t stay but the food was good. A little too pricey for the table fare. Don’t expect 5 star quality, it’s not that type of place. I didn’t expect or even want a 5 star Colombian cuisine experience. I wanted basic Colombian food made by people of Colombian descent. I didn’t ask the waiter/possible proprietor, but I believe the cook in the back was Colombian. Appeared to be a family operation, but not sure. I was satisfied, but needed a cheaper menu. If it were cheaper I probably would go more often. Paid $ 45 for me and wifey. That’s a bit much for basically a taqueria type of setting/experience. The empanadas were good. The slab of meat but simply that, a slab of meat. Have never had Colombian fare, but I believe it is not meant to be generally spicy, so if that’s your thang, then take your own spices. I recommend going, but select wisely.

1 star is not a reflection on their food, but rather their hours of operation. I’ve made multiple attempts to stop by for a taste, but alas, they’re always closed. Yes I have tried going during their posted hours on their actual store front as the hours listed on Unilocal are incorrect. I’d be glad to update the review if I ever get a chance to try them out.

By no means am I an expert… on Colombian food or anything else. I just know what I like and I happen to like a lot of things. ;) On a lazy Saturday afternoon, I had a hankering for Colombian foodstuffs. I was being ultra lazy that even thinking about driving to Sabor De Sanchez(which is only about 15 min from me) felt like an eternity. I wanted something closer and I got it. Fruty Coma would be my spot. The extra bonus? There were quite a few folks who liked it. I was initially thrown off by the name. On top of that, the spelling was off. Unless there’s some secret decoding to the spelling that I’m not aware of. Of course, I couldn’t go anywhere without my partner in crime, so off we went. The restaurant is in the middle of an old shopping center. The day we visited, there was a group putting away a tent and boxes(as if they were selling something earlier) and going into FC. A couple of people in that group ushered us in and told us to have a seat. We found out later that the couple was the owners. The wife didn’t speak much English(at least not to us) although we got away with a little bit of Spanglish with her husband. He was very friendly although we were definitely getting the upsell. We both ordered the Bandeja, a couple of arepas de queso, and before we realized it, we fell into one of the upsells and got beef empanadas. For my drink I ordered a guava smoothie with milk. The bandeja was your traditional plate with chicharron, an egg, rice, etc. Although instead of a blood sausage(morcia) you get chorizo. Savory and cooked just right. The flavors were excellent. And that’s not limited to just the bandeja but everything we tried. The arepas were big — almost sandwich size. And that’s hard to find at some of the Colombian restaurants I’ve been to(although the ones I’ve been to so far have been a mix of two different types of food e.g., Colombian/Mexican or Colombian/Puerto Rican so maybe that’s why) The empanadas were very hot when we received them and the owner brought out some aji sauce to go with it. It was spicy but complimented the empanadas well. The food takes awhile to cook; however, it’s been well worth the wait during my visits. There’s plenty of parking although the restaurant is fairly small.

I’m from Colombian, and know what Colombian food should look like and taste like. This place makes me feel at home, the food is delicious and fresh. Their arepas are original an definitely on point compare to one you would find in Colombia. The manager treats you like he has known you for ages an always is so welcoming! I definitely would recommend this restaurant to anyone that loves Colombian food or just wants a delicious plate!

I never had Colombian food before so read my review with a grain of salt. The restaurant is in the middle of a shopping mall, I thought it was closed at first because the light is dim and there is no neon sign that says it is open. The place is small, 10 tables, maybe? The owner is extremely friendly and she recommended a type of fruit juice(I forgot the name), it tastes great! Although I do recommend you order it with milk, not water. Preparing the order can take a while, but it only means they prepared it fresh. The Arepas is amazing, very tasty. The fried plantain is my favorite dish, The Empanadas is good(watch out for the green sauce, it is pretty spicy). I thought the steak is bit dry though. Overall, great experience, I would come here again.

Been here twice so far and have had 2 different experiences. The first time was amazing. I had the bandera. Everything was fresh and came out perfectly. Oh, and not to mention the fruit juices. Pretty amazing stuff. The second time I went was a total miss except for the juice. Got the bandeja again and the egg was overcooked as well as the chicharonne. The beans that come with the meal was not as fresh as the last time. What I noticed was that the first time the husband was the cook and the second time was the wife. I’m not saying that’s the reason but that’s what I noticed. I will surely comeback to see if my next experience is better because I do love me some Colombian food.

On the search for good Latin food, we came here because a friend recommended it. The inside is small but cutely decorated. The owner provided excellent service and the food was delicious. Definitely not disappointed. My steak was cooked just right, my arepa was baked just right, and the beans that came with my husband’s meal was tasty. I just wish that all the plates came with plantains. This is a spot that I will be eating at again. If you’re looking for good Colombian food, this place is where to go.

Came on the recommendation of a Colombian coworker and was not disappointed. Had the lulo fruit(«little orange») juice with water instead of milk which tasted very light and refreshing, like pineapple-orange juice. Highly recommend the empanadas and arepas, which were baked instead of fried. Ordered the bandeja paisa, which can honestly feed two people. It came with a bean stew, which was amazing on a cold day. Food was hearty but didn’t make me feel heavy afterwards. The owner cooked and served everything himself and was extremely welcoming. He even gave out free coconut candy at the end. Will be coming back on the weekend to check out the live music and dancers.

This place is awesome I want to see this place around in the future. I know that if more people knew of it they would be busier. They food is awesome very authentic and it is a hole in the wall place that operates that way. Food is always fresh so it takes awhile sometimes but worth it. I wish the owner would change the crapy sign and the name of this place. I always thought it was a fruit place behind church’s but it is a awesome Colombian restaurant. When the owner makes this clear to customers driving by he will see a whole other level of busy.

Great food, excellent fruit juices and smoothies. I’ve tried the Special Plate(#2) with an arepa, an empanada plank steak, avocado, and a side salad, and I’ve yet to be disappointed. The second time I visited my companion’s steak had a red spot though… The juices, as I said, were spectacular. We shared Papaya and Guanábana. Choose them based in milk not water. Tostones and plátanos maduros are also served as well as a variety of other dishes. The restaurant owner is friendly and helpful. On Saturday nights there are shows and singers performing different styles of Latin American music. The place is nicely decorated although small and there are nights when Argentine as well as Spaniard cuisine are served.
