I have been a patient of Dr. Luxenburg for my contacts and general eye health for 20+ years. This practice is fantastic. The doctor is professional and technically proficient. He leaves his cell phone on the answering service for emergencies! He once arranged some emergency lenses for me while I was traveling. The staff is also excellent and very helpful. I cannot recommend this practice enough to family and friends. Will also work with your insurance to the extent possible.

I have been a patient of Dr Luxenburg’s since I was 18. He is wonderful! From the moment I met him, he was kind, honest, patient and caring. Well, he is still the same person! His staff is the same staff since I started going to him. His wife Nancy, is a doll and so is Cheryl and rest of the ladies. The staff always does what they have to do as far as insurance precert etc and they have never made a mistake that I am aware of. The office is also lovely and although it already looked very pleasing, they renovated about 1 year or so or more and it looks amazing! I am now seeking a pediatric optometrist and I cannot find anything close to this office! I am so lucky I found them! Oh I should mention that I’m kind of a blind bat and wear contacts and glasses and they have the newest glasses and contacts available at all times! My Husband is a patient as well and he has had nothing but great experiences here also!

I didn’t actually end up coming here for an appointment, but Cheryl(?) on the phone was so helpful and informative, and not impatient at all.

A Dr office must be one where there is sincere warmth, deep concern n care for the patient n most of all a exceptional service. Beyond the technical skills professionalism needs to also be compassion, empathy n most of all RESPECT for the patient n their families.

I’ve been happily coming here for almost 10 years for my CRT lenses. Dr. Luxenberg is fantastic and very knowledgeable. The staff are very patient and helpful, especially over the phone. They will work with you to figure out how to help. The place was renovated maybe a year ago, and it looks much more modern with the lit up eyeglass display.

had a little time to kill while waiting for my parents to meet me for dinner. i have been meaning to get my eyes checked and saw this place right next door. i wandered in, the first thing that hit me is «this place stinks.» no it literally stunk– like doodoo. i had a look around at some glasses, looked for the doodoo, then asked the woman seated at the counter if they accept walk-ins. she looked at her watch and said, «yes but not today.» so i asked, «oh you’re closing? when are your regular hours.» she then told me to go outside and read the sign on the door because the hours were listed there. ok– well the sign and Unilocal both say you close at 8 pm(it was 6:45). don’t know about the doctor– but staff was rude and it smells like poop.

I’m surprised that I’m the first review for this place but I guess he doesn’t need it anyways because his work is great and evident. It was my first time ever going to an optometrist(shame on me for putting it off till my eyes went bad), so I didn’t really know what to expect. I went in, got some tests done, inspected for a bunch of stuff, and everything seemed fine until Dr Lux knowledgeably caught something from the diagnosis he made upon the history of my ailments I was describing. He then scanned my eyes with some hi-tech machine leading to reveal this keratoconus that I had been developing. Some say ignorance is bliss but I’m thankful that it was discovered, and although I am about 3000 miles away, he is still helping me out with questions I have and whatnot for treatment. Hopefully I can get this thing treated quickly but it costs an arm and a leg haha. Thanks again Dr. Lux!
