Only been there a few times since it opened. Complete garbage. We go back hoping it has got some new management. They seem to hire all the rejects from the McDonald’s across from kohls. Which is probably why this place is worse. I mean they are nice about fixing the mistakes except for the short stubby guy who likes to argue with you. Too expensive to get the wrong order not good enough quality of food to put up with it

Every time I go lately my order is messed up and they argue with you over it … YOURWEBSITESAYS the sandwich comes with cheddar cheese, pickles, onions & barbecue sauce. I was told those toppings don’t come with the sandwich and they cost extra. The meat has been cold and hard as a rock. Someone in charge needs to fix this location PLEASE!!! I loved dickey’s when it was good but i’m about to give up my husband wont even order anything when i go there now and he liked it more then i did!!! Even at work when i say lets get dickeys for lunch everyone says no they suck now. PLEASEFIX

We just moved to the area about 3 months ago from German Village area. But, we always end up eating out on the weekends. I’ve seen this place before, so my husband and I decided to try it out. Esp after reading such the great reviews, we had to! I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and it was amazing! It melted in your mouth, it was so tender and buttery. Since it was our first time, they gave us an extra sandwich to try the other meat. Thanks! We ordered four different sides and enjoyed them all! My favorite personally, was the creamed spinach and the loaded potato casserole. I’m already looking forward to getting this great BBQ again! Wonderful experience.

Haven’t had one thing here that has not been good. We get the family packs to go almost every week. Best BBQ around!

Everything was good. I ordered the 3 Meet plate. Pulled pork, spicy sausage, beef brisket. Meets were kinda cold. Waffle frys were awesome. Free ice cream is a very nice. Kinda cool they offer hard plastic cups for your drinks.

I found a new bbq joint! This was my family’s first time trying Dickeys and we were absolutely thrilled with our meals! We got the xl family pack for our family of 6. For $ 45 it included: your choice of 3 – 1 pound meats, 4 medium sides, and 6 rolls. We got the ribs, beef brisket and pulled pork which were amazing! Everything was very tender and juicy and you could taste the smoky flavor. For the sides we chose the beans with bacon, Caesar salad, fried okra and bbq baked beans. They all were very good. But I do have to say the bbq baked beans were kind of spicy. Tolerable, though. I would definitely go here again and highly recommend it. Also, kids eat free on Sundays.

Very reasonably priced BBQ that actually tastes a lot better than I expected. It’s not Ray Rays but at almost $ 1 /rib(vs $ 3 /rib) it’s a great value. I was disappointed though that the free ice cream machine was broken when I visited. It was the main reason I came to check out this place as otherwise City BBQ is just as good.

I was hungry for some barbeque on Memorial Day and wanted to try out a new place. We hopped into the car and drove over to Dickey’s to try them out. It was a little early for the dinner crowd and the place was pretty quiet when we arrived. This franchise location is in a large strip mall area along US23 North in Lewis Center. Plenty of parking around, but it does compete with its Walmart neighbor. We walked into the restaurant and my stomach immediately began growling from the smokey barbeque aroma filled restaurant. They offer quite a wide menu options which is displayed over the order counter. It can be a bit overwhelming at first. They offer sandwiches, combination plates, baked potatoes, salads, a variety of sides and small children’s menu. Options … they have options … which can be confusing. The staff were very willing to help us with our questions and decisions. I was specifically looking for a rack of ribs. Meat plates count out the specific number of bones. So, you do get a few more bones with the half or whole rack. The sides are extra when ordering a rack. A full rack will run you $ 23,99. Shortly after we entered the store, we were followed by a whole host of other diners. I ordered the full rack and learned it was the last of the ribs. I felt badly for the folks who followed after us where many were also looking for ribs. I know I would not be happy to find a barbeque restaurant that ran out of its main staple. I loved their ribs! They had a robust smokey flavor. These ribs were the meatiest ribs I’ve ever had with hardly any fat on them. They offer three sauces, sweet, spicy and hot that are located at the drink, utensils and condiment station. I went with the spicy and it had quite a kick for me. Next time, I will likely try their sweet version as I do tend to be a bit of whimp when comes to hot spices. Restaurant seating is limited to a row of tables for two along one wall of the restaurant and a handful of tables that seat four. This is likely because the interior is longer than it is wide. So, if you have a big family or group, you will likely be broken up. I’m definitely coming back! There are several other items on their menu that intrigue me that I want to try out … beef brisket … loaded baked potatoes.

Let me start off by saying I enjoy doing BBQ at home and feel that I am my own grill master. That’s not to say I don’t enjoy going out and trying BBQ from local or distant BBQ joints. Giving a little background of my BBQ taste I don’t really care for Smokey Bones and think that City Barbecue is just average. I do really care for Ray Rays and Barleys Smokehouse is personally my favorite when it comes to the Columbus Area Market. Now on to my review. Being that I work in the area Dickey’s is now going to become a semi regular on my places to hit for lunch. I enjoy real food, not McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell etc. First thing you will notice walking through the door is that blast of hickory smoke that lets you know you have found the right place. The second but not to say it is a secondary thing is the customer service. This place is top notch when it comes to the customer service experience. They want your return business and are excellent at showing you this. On to the food. The meats come dry as another Unilocaler posted but they are flavorful and juicy I went with the lunch special today which was a pulled pork and sausage sandwich with cheese onion and pickle 2 small sides and a drink. I had the BBQ beans and Mac and Cheese. The food was solid all around. Their sweet tea was good and the fact they have free ice cream is going to send the wife and kids over the edge here. All in all a great experience and I will return with the family or take a friend to lunch here. The only reason for 4 stars is while I like all of their sauces I wish for that hickory smoke flavor that they had a more pronounced smoky flavored sauce. On a side note restrooms were clean and maintained for those that keep track of that like I do.

I got a full slab to try this place out. I would say they are ok. Not a bad price. They left the membrane on the ribs so it was like chewing plastic with every bone. The sauce was pretty good. The ribs were a bit dry. I will try it again.

Our family loves ourselves some Dickey’s. We seriously have stacks of Dickey’s cups. I totally blame them for my weight gain while living in Texas. The silliest thing is that I am not a huge meat fan. I usually go meatless or seafood when I have the choice but I always enjoy a visit to Dickey’s. First off, they have great customer service. I have visited several locations and they are always clean and the staff is super friendly and informative. This location in particular was no exception. You get a cup(to keep) when you order a drink and there is free ice cream. I do miss the larger locations we used to frequent though. This one was small and located in a strip mall. The atmosphere is still nice though. Secondly, I enjoy the choices when it comes to sides! They have a large variety. I want to say the location in Texas we went to had more choices though. It was almost like a food court and you can see and scoop your own sides. They were behind the counter here. I got my salad and Mac and cheese though so I was happy. The sides are plenty filling! Lastly, I enjoy the barbecue sauce. I love spicy things and their spicy sauce is great! It’s not so hot that’s it’s hard to handle too. All in all, I would be happy to return here. I just wish that they were a little bit closer to home!

I Tried the 3 meat dinner(polish sausage, pulled pork, brisket) with sides of barbecue beans and onion strings. Everything was fair nothing really exciting as far as flavors and in fact the brisket was rather dry. I will go back to try their ribs since in my mind ribs are the way good barbecue joints gain customers.

Been here five times now. Meat is ALWAYS cold. Ribs are dry and only mediocre at best. Good sides, and good portions. Best value is the BYC(big yellow cup) for beverages. However, just went this evening(Sunday) and the sign said they were open until 9PM. But, at 8:30 they tore down the drink fountains and condiments. Won’t be back.

I picked up a brisket sandwich from here on Sunday after realizing it was right next to the Polaris Chiller. That’s pretty much perfect for me. It was my first time, and the place was dead because of the super bowl, so I was able to ask quite a few questions. They were closing up in an hour and had run out of ribs, so I ended up going with the brisket sliced. It still looked a little chopped to me, but whatever, it’s still brisket. They have three sizes of sandwiches at Dickey’s, and you get to choose your meats for each one. I went with the biggest, The Westerner, which actually lets you get two different meats, but I went with double brisket. I went with the mac-n-cheese as well. This place is kind of set up like a City BBQ as far as condiments go, and they have three different BBQ sauces off to the side that you can fill up and take home. I snagged all of them. Honestly, this wasn’t the best brisket I’ve had, and I don’t really know what it was about it that I didn’t like. It just didn’t have a whole lot of flavor to me, and I’m not sure how I felt about the bun. The raw white onion that comes on it really didn’t help, and I think it hindered the taste if anything. The BBQ sauces were pretty good, and I really loved the spicy one. Also, the mac-n-cheese was delicious, so that was a plus, especially since I never get mac-n-cheese with anything. However, I will be back to try this again, because A) it’s really close to where I play hockey, and B) I’ll give most restaurants a second chance. Also, even BBQ I don’t like I still find myself eating. I’m going to try the ribs or pulled pork next time and give it a second chance. Based off everyone’s reviews here, maybe I’m missing something.

I had heard of this chain when I was in Greenville, SC and was excited to see a flyer advertising a location in Lewis Center. As soon as I opened the door I was greeted by a wonderful smoky BBQ smell, wow! We ordered sandwiches and made it a plate by adding 2 sides for $ 3 You get to choose the meat on your sandwich and they will add pickles and onion too. 1. Big Barbecue w/beef brisket(chopped or sliced) I picked chopped. Sides: Fried Onion Tanglers & Baked Potato Casserole. 2. Lil’ Hoagie w/pulled pork. Sides: Mac & Cheese and Waffle Iron Fries Everything was delicious, we took off the white onion they gave us at the counter and added the Tanglers to the sandwich, this was delicious and we’ll do it next time. ICECREAM, yes there is FREE ice cream which I put in my yellow cup and added root beer to make it a float. BBQ sauce: in warming containers by the drinks Original — a bit spicy Sweet — it was sweet and not spicy Hot– after tasting the spicy original, I didn’t dare try it. The sauces are vinegar based, which is not my favorite, but the awesome flavor of the meat more than made up for it.

Pulled pork is a definite fave here! Couple it with their mac and cheese and green beans, and you have a fantastic meal! Only thing I dont like is they put onions and pickles on all their sandwiches.

Greatness! Have been there 3 times and it is always amazing even if I wish it were a bit cheaper. I always get The Westerner with the pulled pork and spicy cheddar sausage.

I realize this is a chain barbecue place but for that they make some pretty damn good barbecue. I’m comparing them to city barbecue and it is hands down better. I have tried several different items and the beef brisket is my favorite, very tender and flavorful. The pulled pork is very good and I keep getting the spicy cheddar sausage. Can’t give it 5 stars since the sides are only average. The other great thing is the price. Can get great 9 dollar lunch combo deals. I’ll definitely be stopping by frequently.

Okay, I’ll admit I’ve been stalking this place since the signage went up and a fugly, rainy November Thursday got me through their door for the Grand Opening. This new location is located in Northpoint Plaza off 23 in a line of shops close to the Walmart. I sauntered up to the counter and placed an order for one of their 2 Meat plates going with the pulled pork and beef brisket. The meat is cut to order as you place it, in my case going with the chopped beef brisket instead of sliced. All of the meats are seasoned and slow smoked in hickory wood burning pits on-site daily. They were loading slabs of ribs in the smoker as I worked my way down the line to score my sides, green beans with bacon and fried okra. Grabbing one of their Big Yellow Cups, I filled it up to the top with their house brewed sweet tea and found a small table to dig into my eats. Before I could dig in I had to go grab a couple cups of their heated sauces, one sweet and smoky and the other a spicy one that will bring a sweat to your forehead. While they don’t offer actual silverware here they do give you some quality plasticware that won’t snap land break like some places offer. Digging into my plate made me realize why I love this BBQ chain so much, great deep flavoured meats and tasty sides at decent prices compared to some of the other local BBQ joints. I think my only complaint from this visit was that the okra got a bit too over salted for my tastes. I’ll mark that up as a first day thing and request ‘em less salted next time. This location has been many things over the years, a Vietnamese noodle house, a Gyro shop and now after major remodel that completely gutted what was a cold almost cafeteria like interior to warm inviting West Texas BBQ Pit. Johnny Cash and Roy Orbison serenaded my meal as I checked out the weather on one of the silent TV’s. Overall for a Grand Opening day it was perfect way to get my meat drunk on with some of the friendly dudes working the counter there. Yeah, I’ll be back here regularly since it is so close to my home and the fortnightly yen for smoked meat must be obeyed… Oh yeah, and for the kids, or the big kid in ya they offer free soft serve ice cream cones…
