First time there. I ordered the rib eye, hey it’s a steaks house, didn’t want the toppings just the steak. Medium rare little toward the rare side. Perfect. Got double baked potato, turned out really good. Service was excellent. Good wine, food, dessert, chocolate cake OMG. We were a group of six. Everyone was happy. Nice job Seth.

This is absolutely one of the most beautiful venues with a breathtaking view. Yet despite the appearance of perfection, our experience at this restaurant was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I have ever had. Not only was our waitress unfriendly, slow, and lacking in knowledge about the menu /our salmon was clearly from a frozen package(despite the $ 36 price tag) and cooked to cardboard status. We will NEVER return or recommend this disappointment to anyone ever.

This place has great food and service! I’ve eaten here three nights in a row while on a work trip. Sit in the bar area for fantastic views of the valley.

I was a fan of Ernie’s Steakhouse when it first opened in Grangeville, ID(before it was destroyed by fire) and finally got the chance to try out this place again. It was a Monday so not busy. The inside is very well appointed and stylish according to the cowboy western tradition. It’s worth it just to come in and check it out. The food was quite good. Had shrimp and ribeye. Bother were excellent and cooked to perfection. A medium was a TRUE medium! Yeah! Three appetizers. Wasn’t crazy about ribeye flatbread, but the shrimp dip was awesome. Nice clean restrooms and spotless dining areas. One complaint and I almost left a 3 star for this. Our waitress was inattentive. She was genuinely nice and friendly, but slow as molasses and never offered a refill that I could see unless it was looonnnng overdue. I had to stop her and ask for several people. We had a party of 9 and we are not a difficult bunch. It was a bit of a let down, but won’t stop me coming back. I think she forgot she was waiting on hungry people. :-) She would do a little something and then stop and talk to her co-workers, etc. tsk, tsk, … When you are getting a $ 30 tip we should be the most important people, especially since there was one other table in a different section.

The burgers are good, the steak is good, but neither of them are great. They have a pretty good beer selection. I really like the back porch when the weather is nice.

If you are looking for a good meal in Lewiston, ID you will be hard pressed to find one better than this. In a town littered with Applebees, Red Lobsters, and Happy Days restaurant’s pathetic attempts at cuisine Lewiston should really be eternally grateful to finally have a place to take visitors and not feel ashamed of the local dining options. The only sticking point is the price. For the surrounding area it is high. This place would be more at home in a more metropolitan area. Still if you are looking for a good piece of red meat this is the best restaurant in Lewiston Idaho.

Mediocre food at best. Good waitress, Jessica, but the meal was definitely lacking for a medium priced steakhouse. Ordered jambalaya which was bland and lacked sausage and shrimp. Was essentially mushy rice soup. BBQ chicken soft taco appetizer was good. Prime rib and shrimp special was sub par for a steakhouse. More like diner quality.

The staff seems underpaid and inattentive four waitresses and two customers I can’t get a table. If it wasn’t for their proximity to the hotel I don’t think this place would make it, I left my free drink coupon on the table and walked out after a few minutes I can’t believe this place is locally owned of course there’s Sysco truck pulling out of the parking lot

My husband has vision problems. So a little dark in there for him. But the food and service was 5 star well worth the money

I flew into Lewiston from Seattle to visit my grandparents and we stopped at Ernie’s for lunch. I had one of their BBQ sandwiches and it was fantastic! The fries were crispy and our server took great care of us. My grandfather had the prime rib wrap and it looked fantastic! So, a delicious meal at a more than reasonable price. Don’t let the reviews deter you — this was a great place to have lunch — I can’t speak for dinner, yet — and the view of Lewiston from the bar was amazing! Great seating options too, I want to buy one of the leather chairs they had! #SuperComfortable

Fabulous patio, great service, outstanding mashed potatoes. Second visit and can’t imagine a trip to Lewiston without visiting Ernie’s.

Nice family place, beer selection weak, wine ok. We had prime rib which was nice, not a knock out, but fair. Staff was friendly, and was patient while we stayed late. Not a premium steakhouse, but prices were fair and food was above average. Bar was nice with a beautiful view.

We’ve eaten here three times since they opened. Since the first time, we always say«let’s give Ernie’s another shot.» And each time, we are again, disappointed. My girlfriend ordered their rather pricey Fillet Mignon(worth every penny, if it’s good) and without realizing it, the waitress didn’t even ask how she wanted it cooked. Now, I would think the chef(cook) would ask how the customer wanted this show — piece cut prepared… reputation and all. But, nope. It arrived at the table overcooked to medium. My girlfriend said it was still good, but not great. My halibut that night was okay, but I can easily get better in the valley. The best thing I’ve had there was a one-skewer appitizer. Taqiulla lime shrimp. Three chances, and we’ve yet to be impressed. Roasters makes a sirloin that would top anything offered by Ernie’s. When the waitstaff isn’t trying to pick up a date, they are decent.

So good! The remodel is amazing, and the patio is a plus. I ordered the roasted chicken. It was such a large portion that I took some home and used the chicken for two other meals with shredded chicken. The baked potato was delicious, as well. The plate was around $ 17.00. The bread that comes with the meal is also tasty. I think that’s why I had so much food leftover. Our waitress was nice and helpful. We didn’t wait long for dinner. We then had drinks on the patio and could see the LC Valley with a very friendly bar staff. I will go back. In fact, I’m going today. Let’s keep this place in business!

This has to be the coolest place to eat in town. Oh, and the food is just as good as what you’d get in a big city, but no place as this view! I ate near the bar, they had the doors open and the view of Lewiston and the river was quite stunning. The food could be sub-par and you’d still want to be here, but luckily that isn’t the case. The bar was well stocked and the staff was extremely professional. The Chicken flatbread for starters was flavorful and definitely made me eager to devour the Selway River Burger for dinner. The price for drinks was fair, too. Good beef, great sides and the price was very reasonable overall considering just how nice Ernie’s is.

This review is based mainly on the food. Restaurant atmosphere and service were good, although the longer I sat at the table the more a rash began to develope on my arms. Assuming for the cleaner used on the tables. Now the food, I ordered the filet mignon, parents ordered the special, surf and turf(prime rib and«jumbo» prawns), my grandmother ordered the bite size. My filet was the only tenderloin I’ve ever had that’s had gristle throughout the entire steak. They didn’t even cut the silver skin off. I ordered it medium rare and it was very rare, the bacon was still basically raw in places. My parents«jumbo» prawns were basically small-medium shrimp, the word jumbo is laughable. Their prime rib was ordered medium rare but was a bit over done. My grandmother’s bite also ordered medium rare but they were well done, I believe she had one that had a little pink in it. It was $ 120 not well spent…

This restaurant is beautiful! There is a separate bar area with a fire place, cushy seating, and a patio that looks like it would be incredible in the summer. I’m giving two stars because the food selection was terrible. Shrimp, fried bread, or fried steak bites are basically the appetizer options. There is zero variety — which is really sad because we would have loved to stick around and try some food. We had a few beers instead and tried a different place(the little taco place downtown — incredible). If you’re in the mood for simply a steak or if you’re hankering for some Lewiston shrimp — this place is perfect. Again, super pretty! Update: I’m incredibly upset that the French fries are frozen! The fish was delicious but the fries were stuck together and partly cold and had that processes foam texture inside. I wish they’d just get a potato cutter and make fresh fries — it would be SO worth it. (Feel free Ernie’s to give me a comped meal for my awesome suggestions!)

We are from Northern California, bit of a Resturant snob. I liked the ambiance, The cleanliness, the immediate service with a smile. This is a cut above standard chain restaurants. Definitely not a Texas steak house. The food was fresh, hot, and plentiful. The service was quick and ordering simple. I will eat here again. I do travel around the states pretty frequently and will make this one of my staple places to eat.

The bread seemed a little stale and I did not like the raspberry butter so I asked for regular butter… better. I ordered the 8oz filet mignon with two sides, Caesar salad and fries. The Caesar salad was decent. The steak and fries came out pretty quickly. I ordered medium rare and that’s what I got! It was absolutely delicious the first bite. As I worked my way through the steak it started to get a little grizzly. It was a $ 33 steak so I expected a better cut. The flavor was excellent but the cut of meat was average. It was a lot of food, mission accomplished. I did not get any refills on my water but I’m not bashing the place just sharing my experience. It did take a while for the waitress to come get my check but I’m not in a hurry so I guess it’s not that big of deal. Great atmosphere, friendly folks, great flavored steak. Not sure I’ll come back, would get different sides.
