Zany’s

Great atmosphere and service, however the sushi was 90% rice and 10% fish. The rolls were good though. Just don’t order the nigiri unless you like rice.

Wasn’t a fan of Zany’s before their renovation. I never liked the crowded, noisy, cluttered atmosphere. The food was fair at best and the service was sluggish.
What a difference now!
We had a quiet, civilized meal in the new pub side of Zany’s. I had the BBQ chicken chopped salad. It was fabulous!!! My husband had a bacon cheese burger that he really enjoyed.
The décor has a luxurious sports bar vibe. The large TVs are easily seen, but not obnoxious. The waitstaff was attentive and pleasant.
We will definately go back soon!

A bad management night. Food took an hour and was either cold, over cooked or incomplete. The waitress took care of us but it should have been the manager. Might give them another chance on my next visit.

Casual family restaurant with a fun, eclectic atmosphere. .Toy train around the restaurant, lots of Hollywood pics, old Pepsi signs and stuff hanging from the ceiling. A fun party like atmosphere for families or groups. The food was acceptable… not outstanding (the pulled pork was more like chunky pork roast but the hula burger was very good). Service was friendly and attentive. Nice desserts. Not an outstanding experience but we might return in the future if we were with a group.

I had lunch here today and really enjoyed it! They are undergoing renovations and the place looks great. It has a nice open atmosphere. The bar has something like 20 different beers. I had the spicy tuna roll which was super fresh and yummy. Their fries and fry sauce are also pretty tasty.

My family is a big fan of Zany’s…alas, I am not. Not real sure why, it’s just not me. I think it is the décor. Don’t get me wrong, it is definitely interesting, but I am not into «zany».
The food is usually good and service is as well, though sometimes we may have lesser than a great server.
Tonight was a good experience, the food was great, chips and salsa were fresh and very good. Service was good.
Give it a try… you might like it. (Unless you are Type A personality, structured and analytical… then you may not.)

The restaurant is a bit spendy for the food that you get. The sushi menu is great, but the prices are really high. No more turkey burgers or waffle fries. Hopefully, the new updates will bring this place back to its former glory. Bring back the turkey burger! The Texas beers are great!
The décor is a bit mixed and overdone. The kids love the train though.

Amazing all around! The staff were very nice. You get free refills on your drinks, and best of all the food was amazing. I ordered their French dip sandwich and loved it. I definitely recommend going here.

Zany’s was amazing! Our server, Renea was fantastic. She brought samples of beer and checked on us regularly about our experience. The selection of the food was the best part about Zany’s. They have everything from BBQ to sushi. I got the BBQ combo and it was better than most Longhorns I’ve visited. We didn’t try the sushi but we plan to in our next visit. We will be back!

Ask for Jen or Amanda, our favorite servers, though all are nice. Chicken Tortilla soup should be offered frozen in the supermarket aisle to take home. Most of the food is good, but would prefer to have non-​garlic mash potatoes. Their chili is too sweet, chili should be savory not sweet. You do need to be sure to ask if «extras» are up-​charged as some are & some aren’t then you won’t be shocked when you get the bill.

After relocating back to the area, I was excited to come back to one of my childhood favorites! Sadly, they did not live up to my memories! The train wasn’t working, which was really disappointing, and the food was mediocre and overpriced. Also, the tables are placed way too close to each other in my opinion, and it’s just generally loud in there. Good for eavesdropping, bad if you’re thinking you’re going to have any enjoyable conversation with your lunch date.

Some of the best fajitas I had have been at Zany’s. I am not from Lewiston, but when I come here for a hockey tournament I make sure I have dinner hear one night.

Visited here since it was close to the Holiday Inn in Lewiston. (Which is apparently one of the upper tiers of hotels here — Can’t complain though it had a really nice view of the city and river)
On to the food~
I got the steak sandwich with waffle fries and it was on the heavy side but the au jus helped lighten it up a bit. Waffle fries were pretty grand and the shake that my buddy next to me got wasn’t half bad either. Zany’s seems sketch and a bit Guy Fieri-​esque for serving sushi and burger food but it churns out a respectable product especially for this area. Interesting mix of western and diner décor on the interior too.
tldr; Average bar/​pub food, big portions, 1.5x price

Finally found a place that is really good was bit pricey but I did get the prime rib steak and it was excellent. I recommend trying this place at least once, you won’t be disappointed and they do have a lot of different types of food to choose from.

This place is average they should
not be so expensive. The decorations are super tacky and, the service was horrible. Do not eat their Mexican food because it tastes horrible and is way over priced. My boyfriend got a burger and, it was average. I did not like the hoarders atmosphere and how loud it was. I wish the food was better, environment was less clutter and it would of been nice if it was less pricey.

This place is alright. I love the music and the train. The food is pretty good. I’ve personally never had a bad experience while dining here. I’m going to have to take my kids to eat here some day… they’ll get a kick out of all the cool decorations.

Maybe my tastes have been tainted by experiencing so many other places across the country (and the world) that are just SO much better than what Zany’s has to offer… Maybe I’m a food snob? … I dunno…
I order halibut fillets and I get three pieces of halibut and one piece of cod (yes, I can tell the difference… and there is a HUGE difference). That’s just a lack of integrity. Or maybe it’s stupidity… Or both…
My wife orders the Finger steaks… WAY overcooked. Tough inside. My baby has TMJ, that hurt her jaw… a lot… Let me tell you… She has no problems eating a PROPERLY cooked steak. She also has no problems eating a PROPERLY cooked finger steak (Hey… take a 40 minute drive to Peck, ID and eat at that little diner off US 12… order their finger steaks… THEY do it right… You could learn a thing or two).
These guys just cant get it right…
zushi? Com’n guys… I’ve had much better… and it didn’t have to have a lame name to make it catchy and tasty.

The diner gimmick is taken way over the top here. However, the service is good and the food is fine. I think this is a good teenager spot.

I ate at Zany’s for the first time last weekend. I ordered the street tacos with steak, and ended up with food poisoning. This was the only meal that entire weekend where my family and I didn’t eat the same food, so we know Zany’s was the culprit (well, that and I recognized it in my vomit later). I should have sent the plate back when I saw the steak was bright pink on the inside (rare-​ish steak is delicious, but now I know that it’s just not worth the hell your tummy might put up with later) so I guess I’m equally to blame in this case.
I’m sure it was just an honest mistake and I’m positive this place is mostly safe to eat at, but you won’t catch me in here again. Also, my husband’s side of steak fries? Five fries. FIVE. I counted them. Twice. Just to be sure.
That being said, the tacos were actually really tasty at the time (good guacamole, too, although the chips were far too salty) — just not a fair trade-​off for blood coming from both ends later in the night, and a subsequent sob-​fest.

It’s one of the places in Lewiston that you can get a decent meal that can be very filling and get good service. Even if they’re busy they don’t take too long to get to you and they’re always checking (without being annoying) to see if you’re doing ok.
I’ve had a few meal here already since it’s one of the few places that’s not a chain and serves good meal. Everything I had thus far is good and I ALWAYS get the strawberry lemonade since it brings me back to childhood.
Speaking of childhood this place will get your eyes wandering everywhere if you don’t frequent the place. There’s so many odd pieces and knick knacks in this place and all shoved in… every inch is covered.
