The service was great… and that’s about it. My bacon tasted fishy and the place itself was very unwelcoming. They also don’t serve lunch on the weekends. I was pretty disappointed.

This is a mediocre dinner on the outer edge of Lewiston center. It is small with counter seating and limited 4 person booths. We had high hopes because they offer few items that the chains do not(but their options are still limited) but we’re sorely disappointed. First of all, our waitress was extremely inexperienced. She was like a deer in the headlights. Didn’t offer the specials and seemed off put by the simple task of taking our orders. My daughter got the crepes with Nutella and bananas. They were larger than expected but they were rubbery like aldente lasagna noodles. The bananas were cooked which made them mushy. My husband got poached eggs with ham. The poached eggs were under done with slimy egg whites and the ham was slices of ham heated on the grill rather than a steak. I got the steak with poached eggs. My eggs were done correctly but I suspected that they do not salt their poaching water because the eggs were bland. The steak was a grisly cut that had a bizarre flavor to it. The home fries were very large cut so that they seemed under done. I didn’t think the pricing was horrible for what they offer but I wouldn’t go there again. We went at 11:45 am but when we asked about the lunch menu(which is also limited) the waitress said they weren’t serving lunch which seemed strange but we went with it.

Feels grimy and dirty, old décor looks as though it’s never loved off the walls. Breakfast doesn’t stick with you long– enough said. LA needs a GREAT breakaway place!

Came here with a group of 6 and it took them almost 35 minutes to have someone even look at us. They were understaffed and couldn’t clean off any of there open tables. The only reason we stayed was because we were so hungry and our first choice wasn’t open. Then we ordered and the waitress came back to inform us that they had no corn beef hash left but we couldn’t change our orders because they were on the grill already so some of us were already unhappy with our half complete meals. Then the omelets came. They were very small and average. I won’t be back.

I absolutely love the everyday special. 2 eggs, toast, sausage, and home fries. This is a once a week staple for the breakfast lovers in L/A. The service is snappy, fast, efficient and pleasant. The owner ‘Mo is pleasant and always greets with a smile. The atmosphere is 50’s so no shots at the décor. A favorite with the bates crowd on the weekends so get in early to beat the hangover weekend rush! One of my favorite gems of Lewiston!

I understand that it’s a diner and that you have to take it for what it is, but its narrow design is claustrophobic, and for being in a place as cold as Lewiston, there isn’t much in the way of an indoor area to wait for your table, which you will undoubtedly have to do if you are going for weekend breakfast/brunch. Appears to be largely supported by the students of Bates College. Egg-white veggie omelet was good-sized and inexpensive, but also incredibly oily and greasy, to the point where selecting this health-conscious item proved to be oxymoronic.

This place is great. Walk through the door and take a step back to the 60’s. They’ve go a great long lunch counter and seating in the back with lots of period stuff on the walls. The food is real good and cheap. The owners are nice people, too!

My first visit was for breakfast and I wasn’t overly impressed, mainly because we got the last remaining booth stuck in the corner. Today, I went for lunch at the invitation of a work colleague. The lunch menu was very solid, making my choice a tough one. I settled for a BLT, although I easily could have sprung for the ¼ lb. burger made with real Angus beef. My BLT had fries and decent cole slaw, all for only $ 4.75. They serve pizza later in the day(small kitchen cannot accommodate pizza and lunch items). The décor is a nice mix of 50s and 60s memorabilia. Definitely a step above any chain lunch spot in town.

I had a yummy omelet, with toast and potatoes. The ambiance is authentic 60s, and it just has a very warm feel. This is the just off campus favorite of Bates College students, so it can be quite busy weekend mornings. The $ 5 weekday lunch specials are tempting.
