My dad and I were in town to visit my brother who lives just around the corner from this place. We were planning on watching some NFL and this was the first place we saw so we decided to go for it. The name gave me the impression that it would have a lot of college-age people here. Completely wrong. I think my brother and I were the youngest by at least a decade. A lot of TVs around the walls, although none a super impressive size or anything. With Lexington not being an NFL town, they were sure to put every different game on at least one TV which was nice. We were there specifically for the Bengals, as were a few others, but it seemed that the majority were for Steelers and Browns. Of course I think every team playing at 1 pm was represented in this bar. The bar tenders seemed to be doubling as waiters, nothing too surprising to me. We were greeted promptly and taken care of quickly the whole time so I don’t see it as any sort of issue. All three of us had wings– great variety on our part, I know. I really liked them. The breading was tasty and the spicy garlic sauce was awesome. Their blue cheese was good(not sure if it was house made or anything) and I liked the crinkle cut fries as well. The one thing that I didn’t like about the menu, though, is that there was only one size of wings order you could get and there aren’t any boneless, either. I feel that a sports bar like this should have more variety as far as wings go. It was a friendly atmosphere and great for watching any NFL game playing. If I was my brother and lived this close, I’d probably be here at least a couple Sundays every NFL season.

First off, this place isn’t only for college students. For years, I avoided this place because the name gave me the impression that it was a campus hangout. Finally I heard that they have a trivia night on Mondays, so I thought it was the perfect time to try it. I arrived with my party of two around 6:00. I was surprised at the lack of patrons, but I wouldn’t complain about that. We played a few games of pool and also noticed the dart boards and the beer pong tables. The pool sticks were in need if attention. Every one of them were crooked or cracked at the bottom. But we can’t knock that too much… if you’re coming for the pool table alone, then bring your own stick. The food: I was tempted to order one of each item from their typical pub bar menu, but I was good and went with the buffalo chicken salad. It was ok. Some of the chicken was dry, to the point or crunchiness. My husband got a club sandwich and there was hardly enough meat on it to call it a basic turkey sandwich. I tasted his crinkly French fries, and I will say they were excellent. But if you’re going solely on a food experience, you may be disappointed. The drinks: I noticed the Martini Monday special at $ 4 each. I started with the orange creamsicle martini… it was huge, compared to your normal sized martini. I’m not going to complain though. That actually was an extra star in my rating. After our games of pool, trivia started and I noticed a table advertisement that said that martinis were $ 3 during trivia. Well heck yeah, I ordered another two. The Cosmo and the chocolate named one were excellent, way better that the Orange martini. But once the bill came, all of my martinis were charged $ 4, no huge deal but I did mention it. The waitress said that the manager had stepped away and she couldn’t alter the bill. Again, not a big deal… but I hate mispricing. Even worse, was that a manager or anyone who could honor the advertised price were not available.

Solid place to watch a game. Always have a lot of staff on hand. So you’re never waiting on a drink. Be prepared for the jukebox to be loud. Last time in there, they had some 90’s rap/hip hop music turnt up. Never know when you might run into a UK basketball assistant coach having a few at the bar. Food is average. Just the usuals on tap. But this place bleeds blue and that’s about all you can ask for in Lexington.

Here because it was convenient(first time here). A handful of beer drinkers here after 5PM. Bartender doesn’t seem to be interested in taking care of guests. It is not busy here now & it shouldn’t have taken more than a minute to be acknowledged after sitting at the bar(it did-btw). The Long Island Tea I ordered was not quite right. I had to add more cola myself just to finish the drink. Any seasoned bartender knows that you shouldn’t be able to taste a lot of alcohol with this drink when it’s made correctly. I’m a bartender(15 years) & have been in Food & Beverage industry half my life soooo…

Well I’ve been going to campus pub for over six years and it was one of my favorite bars in lexington. My buddies and I tried to go to campus pub to watch the National championship game at 4 o’clock for a 910 tip off. I called yesterday and was told there would be no tables reserved, «first come, first serve» however to our surprise we arrived to find 3 large tables reserved by the owner’s wife. My buddies had the same issue Saturday night. I’m done with supporting this local business. Nothing against the wait staff, they’re great. It’s the owner who sucks, I’m taking my business to the Toasted Barrel. Go Cats!

This place has a pretty friendly group of bartenders. The prices are not bad and the food is also alright for«bar» food. This is a good place to come watch some sports and grab a small bite. The only problem I had didn’t really have to do with the establishment but a patron that stumbled in and sat down next to me was falling over on me because they were so intoxicated. Then the bartender actually served her and her friend a beer, WTF! This chic could barely sit in a chair much less walk. I thought the bartender should have not served them and asked them to leave, regular or not.
