Small store, but it had what I was looking for. It might be a small and very compact store, but the staff was very helpful, polite, and I got what I wanted and out in under 2 minutes. Definitely worth checking out and going back to!

I thought this was going to be one of those places that had the basic beers and wines that you see everywhere. Then I went inside. I was really only looking for a 6 pack of Stella, but I was surprised by a nice little selection of local brews and a pretty extensive selection of wines. Next to the register I saw a pretty original selection of gin and vodka, especially vodka, including some stuff I’ve never seen before like blackcurrent vodka from Lithuania and a gin I never heard of from Gloucester etc… Next to the register was a very respectable basket of bread from a local bakery, which was very enticing as well. Nice surprise, will definitely go back.

I have no idea who the people are giving this shop such great marks but I have visited 5 times and each time I leave with a bad taste in my mouth. 1 – 3 times, walked in, never got greeted, and while I looked for a specific beer no one asked if they could help. THIS I CANOVERLOOK. 4th time I went, I knew where the beer I wanted was, mainly because I searched the place over 1st, 2nd and 3rd time, but the owner or manager was chatting it up with two guys that already had beer and hands and were not speaking about beer or wine at all. It was obvious that I was looking to get by the as they were standing in front of the beers that I wanted. I stood, patiently waiting in hopes they would see that they were in the way, but to no avail, I said excuse me twice and they just kept on talking and on the third time I said it loud enough to have the other side of the store to here me and just politely pushed my way through. 5th time, they had a wine person there doing a tasting and they had it at the front door, typical placement I understand, but the store is so tightly packed that that you could not walk through the door without bumping the little table they had. 6th time, last time. 11:15am, Saturday and store still closed. Hours sign: says 11am. Just purely disappointed with this store. Convenience is just not enough for me to go back. In a pinch maybe.

The store front is a nondescript brick building next to the Stop & Shop. When I went inside, another world opened up. Wall to wall, well stocked wines & beer. The alley might seem narrow in this case, but if you want to explore varieties you would find it. Plenty of parking, friendly staff, no pressure sales.

I drove past this place several times. I dismissed it for being in a plain box of a building. And I figured its selection would be just as plain — your basic standard brands. But then I stopped in, mainly because I happened to be in the right hand lane, and the other store meant switching. I am glad I did. There was a whole range of gins and vodkas that looked well-edited and interesting. I had never heard of half of them — many new to the market, one hand-crafted in Boston. I was in the market for brandy, however, and found two surprises, one from Armenia, the other French but very reasonably priced. I am not sure about the wine selection, but I have to assume it’s on a par with the hard stuff. Bottom Line: pricier than the other store, less emphasis on the oldies but goodies, but a great addition nonetheless. I will be back.
