Applebee’s

This is the worst Applebee’s I have EVER visited, and that’s saying a lot, because I have been to many. We came in on Memorial Day evening. The place is beautiful and was totally empty except maybe 3 tables. There was plenty of staff. Our drink orders were taken right away and we were happy to hear burgers were on special for $ 6.99. It took forever for her to come back to take our orders. When she started taking them, we couldn’t hear her and she couldn’t hear us due to the music being cranked so loud it was rattling the booth. She only asked half of us how we wanted our burgers cooked (we think– it was hard to hear after all). We asked to have the music turned down. It took a few minutes but she turned it down. And as soon as she walked away, another staff member grabbed the remote and cranked it back up. We made a motion to show that it was way too loud so they turned it down some again, and then the staff at the bar could be seen laughing at us over it. It took a while for our food to come out considering we all ordered burgers, but the food itself was fine. However, anytime we needed something, our waitress was nowhere to be found. Then we witnessed some of the staff, including the manager, go out to the parking lot where a guy was holding a snake– a boa constrictor. One handled the snake and was having a good time, then walked straight back inside and picked up menus and start seating people! Without washing her hands! Disgusting! And– the very second that we stood up to leave, they CRANKED the music again. Evidently they think since they have a disco ball above the bar, they are working in a dance club. We will never ever come back to this location. Everyone who works here should be fired and an entirely new staff put in place. Shameful, because it is very nice and open inside.

Apparently, there is an unwritten rule that you are expected to go inside and pick up your to go orders at the bar on Sundays rather than staff delivering them to the «to go» parking like they do the other six days of the week. Two cold meals and no apologies for my time wasted waiting.

We should have known this Applebee’s was poor when it was half empty on a Friday night. Our hostess started dining off by dropping our utensils in the floor on the way to a dirty table. We couldn’t help but notice food scraps, dust and dirt all over the floors. Service was at a snail’s pace. It took 20 minutes to get a drink, 40 for appetizers, and over an hour for entrees. Then the food was fair at best. Steaks were overcooked or sat under warmer too long. Same with the seafood meals. Would have complained to manager but could not endure anymore time in this sorry excuse for a restaurant. This place will close before end of year.

I have tried to use the car side to go twice and each time have been wait sitting in the car for over 10 minutes before either having to go inside and pick it up or calling telling someone to come out. They never are watching so they should not offer this service anymore.

I haven’t been here for a while cause there are just so many better places to eat. Sure enough, they disappointed me for the last time. The place is dirty. I know its late but we walked over straws and napkins laying on the floor to get to our booth that had trash under it. How long would it take for a server to stoop and pick it up? Ordered the Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp and I swear there were 4 potatoes cubes on my plate. I am for real not coming back.

Great customer service thanks to Ange! He was quick to take my order along with the rest of our table of 4. Food came out just like we’d wanted and quick. Couldn’t have asked for a better server. He even stood around as our table said a prayer, he’s truly a great waiter and we will return to hopefully have him wait on us again.

Awful! We have gone to Applebee’s for years, in fact I used to work for Applebee’s about 20 yrs ago. But this particular location is horrible. Service was slow, had to ask for menu and about happy hour specials and our order was not complete,
We ordered wings (which were not on happy hour) but wanted them. This was the most pathetic representation of wings! For $ 12 one would think they would not be so small. Perhaps they used Cornish hens:/
So we then ordered the spinach dip. OMG! They have cut in half the amount of dips you get with it. The dip to chips ratio was very low.
We will NOT go to this location again. And suggest you pass as well.

I asked 3 times for a water before they brought me one.

Worst customer service in lexington! They barely speak to you and if you ask a question about a item they literally have no idea and get mad that you asked. I actually got hurt here and they just looked at me. I was walking out the door and a server was walking up to it. I had my son in my arms and when I pushed the door open the guy put his foot down in front of it and stopped the door right when my foot was in front of it and my foot (in flip flops) went under the door and cut my toes up and felt like it broke my big toe. The guy had the nerve to just walk past me as I’m standing there bleeding and not say a word. He’s lucky I had my son with me or I would have went off on him. But I highly recommend going to the hamburg store, at least they act like they like there jobs! I would give negative stars if possible!

What can you say, everyone knows Applebee’s. I’m just happy a restaurant survived at this location.
Always seating inside, but curbside service is ideal.

I’m usually a fair person rating on places n things… but this time I really do not understand whats going on with some restaurants in lexington… My family n I came here on a Saturday night… the hostess that took us to our seat did not had one bit of smile… we asked for a booth and she hesitated and was like oh we dont have any but then she decided to take us to a booth… Once we sat down I looked around and I saw a lot of booths empty… ok then our waitress came and greet us with no enthusiasm, not even a smile… is it just me or no one smiles here??? It was like she saw a bad sore or something… im gonna give it her off day…
The guy that brought out our food was a lot better… at least he was happy to see us… I mean at least crack a smile ladies!!!
Ok now for the food… hmmm what can I say… I have have had a lot better in Atlanta!!! Potatoe chips good, appetizer sampler the only thing that was decent was mozzarella sticks!!! The boneless chicken omg sour sauce!!! We had to 2 for $ 20 entrée… my ribs wasss well im not sure … presentation could of been better… it looked old
I guess I have to try another location next time I’m in town… cuz I believe in greay customer service =happy customer even though food isnt great!!!

Terrible service. Hostess appeared preoccupied and went through the logy motions of seating us. We received our menus promptly and the waiter took our drink order. However, 10 minutes later, we received only half of it. 15 minutes after that, he was nowhere to be found and still had not returned to deliver the other half of our drinks or to take our main order. It was not busy and what appeared to be the manger was engrossed in a conversation, completely oblivious, across the room during our entire visit. We simply left. We were actually approached by another customer in the parking lot who had just left and he talked to us about experiencing similar service. We won’t be back.

The worst Applebee’s experience i’ve ever had, and the manager didn’t even care! The server was snotty and rude, put our drink orders in BEFORE happy hour and we didn’t get them until AFTER, and because the bartender poured them «after happy hour ended» we had to pay full price. Soggy food, cold rice, bad service.
Take the time and drive down to Hamburg, this place is a disaster.

This is the worst Applebee’s location in Lexington, very poor management which is sad because of the convenient location. The menu is always changing and they do have Happy hour which includes a few select appetizers.

I have never had a bad meal here and the service is always good. Occasionally, like in any Applebee’s, the music will be played too loud by the bartender, but if you ask them to turn it down.

Gross, some things never change.

Poor service provided by college students who are more interested in the game than your dining. Overpriced for the quality as well.

We had a great experience here for dinner. Husband and I both ordered the Cajun steak and it did not disappoint! Also the salsa and chips that we had while waiting for the steaks were very good. The salsa was well seasoned and mixed with pico de gallo. Our waitress was excellent and I hope she realized how much we appreciated her when she saw our tip.
I had a Long Island Tea from the bar which was perfect! Would go back again in a heart beat. Our best eating experience of our vacation.

I often come to this Applebees because I got hooked to their steak 550 meal. The service has always been exception when I have dined here and the shift manager, Amelia, is always on the floor making sure your dining experience is everything you desire. And let me say, I have been a pain in the #### with how I like my steak cook. And Amelia personally will bring out my food and make sure it is too my liking. Frankly, this kind of service is FAR beyond my expectations of ANY Applebees. If you want to dine at the best Applebees in Lexington, service wise, come here. They will treat your business like gold. Thanks to everyone, cooks, servers and crew at the Richmond Road Applebees. They really treat their customers right.
