Captain D’s

For the area, this is one of the better fast food restaurants on this side of New Circle. Although I’ve been through the drive thru a few times, this was my first dining in lunch experience. I was looking for a new place to try on my lunch break and I ended up here.
I ordered the 4 piece chicken tender meal and I must say that I was underwhelmed. The chicken tenders were small, especially for the $ 6.99 price tag. I’ve had chicken tender meals at sit down restaurants cheaper and bigger than that. The fries and coleslaw are the set sides, they have other premium sides, like corn on the cob, side salads, etc, but the premium sides are an additional cost. The hush puppies tasted like old grease, and I’m quite sure they fry them in the same oil as the fish.
The best thing going here is the free wifi. That was a nice surprise for me, the one who was over on my data at the time. Otherwise, I probably wouldn’t have noticed.

Had a great experience. I was a little worried based off of the previous reviews but the staff was courteous and quick. It was as clean as most fast food restaurants and the food was good.

This place is hit or miss. When it’s good, it’s very good. When it’s bad, well, you know the rest of the quote! I found hair in my food last time that I went there.
But then again, what should you expect from inexpensive seafood?

I have eaten at Captain D’s in several locations. A couple of the restaurants were good. But most have been really bad. I suppose it really depends on the management. As one reviewer commented, the employees couldn’t care less if the customer is satisfied, or even if the food order is correct. That seems to be the attitude at most of the Captain D’s. The same is true of the quality of the food. In most locations, the food is really bad. In our local Captain D’s, the food is merely OK. The service is a notch below that… bad.

I’ve been here two times and will not go back. Each time the kitchen was yelling, cursing, throwing things around. I couldn’t tell if they were playing around or if they really were arguing. An older man working in the kitchen was instigating, yelling above the rest. I almost didn’t want to eat my food but after paying mire than $ 7.00 for a fast food meal I was compelled to do so.
