Centric Cleaning

I have worked with Centric Cleaning over the course of the last year now and they are tireless in their pursuit of producing amazing results for their customers. I was looking for a maid service to come to my house once or twice a month and do typical maid type stuff. Clean the floors, clean the bathrooms, change the sheets, dust, pick up a little. Basically the things a maid would do in a hotel room while you’re away.
Centric was one of the very few companies with positive reviews online and while not a maid service I decided to give them a shot and see how well they do. The owner and one employee came to do their «deep clean» service. They showed up on time, were excellent in communicating with me and gave me a sense on confidence.
In all fairness I didn’t make it easy for them; I didn’t pick up much clutter ahead of time or give them any specific instructions. I wanted to see how they would do on their own with no specific instructions other than clean a few rooms.
I was hoping to walk into a clean house; instead it looked exactly the same, only with a fresh scent. They spent 4 man hours cleaning and I honestly had to search for something they cleaned. I suspect they spent a lot of time on the things that aren’t noticeable like cleaning trim and door frames. For the cost of their «deep clean,» I was upset. My wife had much stronger feelings about the situation.
Despite this I gave 3 stars. Why? I believe I was looking for something differently than what they do. I think had I given them very specific and clear goals, they would have done great. If I needed carpets or tile cleaned, I think they would met my expectations. I think if a business hires them to clean a bathroom and vacuum the floor, they would do fine. That brings them from 1 star up to 2. Just like I wouldn’t fault an Italian restaurant for having bad tacos, I can’t fault Centric for not doing well when asked to do something outside their scope.
When I talked to the owner about my concerns he was quick to offer solutions and own their shortcomings. They have a 100% satisfaction guarantee; and they stand behind it. I was offered a free follow up cleaning or a full refund. No hassle about it. I believe anyone can screw anything up, it can happen to anyone. How they handle the problems is what they should be judged on. Centric did the right thing and that brings them to a 3 star review.
