I met two old friends at the brewery for some snacks and drinks to catch up. We were sat right under neath a fan and it was freezing! It took us a while to decide on drinks. The draft beer list was great!(As it should be) the cocktails, not so much. Went with a simple sangria. Always delicious! The first one was garnishes with fruit, always nice to squeeze them over the top. The second one I ordered did not have a fruit garnish. My friend and I had a few questions about ingredients(both vegan) and our server had no idea and seemed really annoyed that she was asking. She did send someone over to our table that had a little more knowledge, which was nice. Anyways, not many options for us on the menu(doesn’t surprise me) I went with the hummus. It was just spicy. Nothing special. My friend got a veggie sandwich(wow! Small portions for the price!) and an order of fries for the table with no cheese. She mention how good the fries were before we got there so I was excited to try them. When they came out they had cheese on them. Really disappointing. Overall it was a bland and freezing experience. Probably won’t go back.

Westport vibe, stuck in Liberty… Yeahhh Let’s keeps this in Liberty. Walking in, it looks like any other bar in Westport, but it’s not in Westport. Micro brew, hip, street feel. BUT it still have the hint of small town. It’s like the country kid that wants to move into the city, but still stuck in their old country vibe. Food was alright. Nothing I would go crazy for, was’t really impressed. Beer selection was pretty impressive though. Lots of crafted beers, but other than that, the beer selection is what makes it pretty neat being located in Liberty.

It was a miserable day in Liberty, low 30’s and freezing rain. We were trapped in our hotel, down to our last Nutri-Grain, and reduced to sipping tap-water when a cybervision of the Rock and Run promised deliverance. Located right off of the Courthouse Square in the historic downtown, the R&R had plenty of convenient street parking, and the Chiefs were kicking Bills-butt as we entered a cleverly restored warmly warehouse-based space, with a memorable bar, windows looking in on the brew tanks, and plenty of big-screened TVs. You can sit high or low. We chose low. The brew menu is a two-pager that is constantly updated to reflect their own brews as well as an amazing selection of micro-brewed gems from around the area and the world. Our server proved to be a Missouri brewing guru. I chose the R&R Porter — solid and rye-based –, and faithful companion, who is not stout but prefers them, grabbed a Grandma’s Vanilla Coffee Stout(brewed in Springfield, MO, it turns out). Both were poured with perfect foam levels and at the right temperature. Salads were clearly hand-made, dressings are mixed right there. Our Reuben was NOT the usual sauerkraut mess on Costco pumpernickel that many brew pubs foist on you. Instead, we savored the specially baked bread and wonderful combination of meat, cheese, and real Kraut. Get down there right now and get some R&R!

Well, can’t say it «Rocked» my world. Luckily was able to find a bar seat on a Saturday night. Don’t get me wrong, cute trendy place. Loved the brick work and huge wrap around bar. Spotted several large groups of 20 somethings. Drinks galore. Enjoyed the«Backline» beer on tap. The pitfall… the food. Nachos were chewy and soggy. And the«white pizza», great in flavor but man… the burnt flour caking each slice was like chewing sand from the beach… not impressed.

This is a pretty solid place. I started with a flight of beer and pretzels with cheese. They were delicious(and there was enough cheese left to dip my fries in it). For my main I had the fish and chips. They were good, above average even. Not the best I’ve had but I would order it again. I was very impressed that their sausages are from Local Pig, who have the best sausages! They also offer a sausage and beer pairing. There are some items on their menu that you don’t find often, especially not breweries. I will be back to try more!

Great little spot in downtown Liberty! Has a great vibe and good beer. Excellent happy hour spot! If you dig macaroni and cheese, get the Farmer’s Pasta. They also offer daily specials on sausage from the Local Pig!

We have been here twice for Sunday Brunch and both times were impressed! Both visits we had the Breakfast Pizza, with tons of cheese, sausage, and scrambled eggs– very tasty and highly recommend it. We also tried a pasta dish and it was decent, a little too over sauced but flavorful. The staff is very helpful and friendly! If you are in the area it is well worth the visit.

I know this is a local favorite, but we left with a different impression. To start, the service is the only thing that earned this review stars. Our server, Christie was very knowledgeable and very helpful. Our food on the other hand was embarrassing. The huge burger was actually very small, and not because of the size but because it was charred so badly it shrunk. We couldn’t believe the chef felt good about serving that. Second, the farmers pasta was soup with pasta, as you can see in the pic it was soaking in a bunch of cheese sauce. This pasta would have been really good if it was the right sauce to pasta ratio. Lastly, flies everywhere!!! The owner said he couldn’t control it, but I think closing the garage and killing the flies would help the problem. The owner came and talked to us and apologized. He said he would talk with the chefs and try to fix it. The server asked if he took care of us, and by that we thought maybe we would receive $ 10 off or compensate the screw ups. But he gave us a card for free pretzels and a beer. That doesn’t help us, because we don’t live here. I understand how it could be an incentive to come back, but normally people just comp the crappy meal… I wouldn’t recommend this for food, but I would for drinks. It could be a fun atmosphere and they have a nice drink selection.

This is our favorite place for beer and dinner in the Northland. Excellent selection of on tap beers although their house beers are not our favorites. Great atmosphere too. My favorite dishes are white pizza and grilled ceaser with salmon. My husband loves BBQ pizza and pulled pork sandwich.

I returned for the brats everyone has be raving about… and they did not disappoint! I had the burnt end brat with bacon, grilled bell peppers, onions and jalapeños(you get to pick 4) and it was SUPERB! Their fries are always good… and washed it down with a farmhouse funk… this is an easy local fav. they purchase their brats locally… and their selection of bier is «totally rad dude»

Ventured a bit further north than my usual stomping grounds to check out another local brewery and was not disappointed. Rock and Run is a decent-sized brewpub… and one of the things this place has going for it is a fairly extensive food menu – much more so than many of the other breweries I’ve been to. We started with the Pub Nachos – kettle chips with traditional nacho fixins like melted cheese, tomatoes, sour cream, but it also had a sliced beer brat from the Local Pig(!) and bacon(!!). We made quick work of them. As for entrees, I selected the beer brat and what I like about this place is you can choose some interesting toppings for your brat. I opted for portobello mushrooms, caramelized onions and a couple other things that are escaping my memory. As for the beers, they were pretty decent… my fiancé and I split two flights and didn’t have any complaints.

The food is good and there’s a good selection of beers. They print a daily paper showing what beers they have on tap. Quite frankly, the service sucks. I’ve been here multiple times and this continues to be true. Most recently a circadia shell fell from the ceiling and into my drink. I caught a servers attention and she groaned, took the drink outside and tossed it and didn’t return. No apologies and not even an offer for a new drink. There were five servers standing by the bar chit chatting. Absolutely ridiculous.

For most of my life since 1997, I’ve called Liberty home. I’ve seen restaurants and bars come and go. Sometimes they go for good reason and sometimes we Libertians have to watch good places fold. Rock & Run though has defied all expectations that a person whose spent almost 20 years in Liberty would have of a restaurant. The food is great, the service is extraordinary, the atmosphere is fantastic, and the bar — oh the bar. Beers brewed both in-house and locally are curated by people that know their beers. Rock & Run has a spacious dining room with a mix of booths, tables and high-tops. There’s a bar that wraps from one side of a middle wall to the other and when the weather permits, the restaurant front can be opened to a patio that seats a dozen or so guests. Finally, a Liberty restaurant that most surely is here to stay. Welcome to Liberty, Rock & Run, glad you’re here!

Parked the car and approached the door, the entire front of the place is windowed garage doors. The night was a beautiful 75 degrees, with a slight breeze… An awesome night. This place had such an inviting, relaxed feel, we had to give it a try… glad we did. Walked in to high ceilings, many filled tables, especially near the open garage doors, had a couple hoops games on, the bar seating was filled and the brewing equipment was set behind glass along the back wall. Lots of interesting mental stimulation all over the interior, I always find it interesting how people connect interior designs into an inviting space. Spent a few minutes looking at the menu, lots of specialized items with their own twist. Brats, something I love and they specialize in. Beer brat, porchini mushroom brat, and burnt end brat were the choices tonight, with the special brat as a chicken apple, but they ran out… bummer, that is a favorite of mine. My son ordered the beer brat, he enjoyed it so much he wouldn’t let me taste it… ate all his fries also… dang… My other son and I both did the pulled pork sandwich. Nice size, not fatty at all, good BBQ flavor, not too much sauce, and I really enjoy cole slaw on top of a BBQ sandwich. It was served on a brioche bun, which pulled all the flavors together. I went with the standard fare, side salad, my son did fries… a nice raw cut fry full of flavor. My wife did the R & R salad, and added salmon. She really enjoyed it, but nothing unique about it. With my meal I did a mud & muck beer, which was very dark, had tons of flavor, finishing with a hint of coffee. Great combination, but more than one will hit you pretty hard, as it had a 7+% alcohol level. Great place, great food, tasty beer, the only reason they didn’t get 5 stars, was they were out of the special brat of the day.

I love this place, I really do, but can’t give it the extra star. So this was my first time going through Liberty and the town itself is really nice and old, and I was kind of surprised to see a hoppin(no pun intended) brewery here! I knew about this place for a while and hurried to get here before they stopped serving food. The inside seems to be the new trending KC look with brick, metal, and contemporary style furniture and surroundings. They had the big window/garage thing open since it was so nice out. Huge bar with lots of taps, not just their own, but they’re supporting other craft brewers! I wish their menu was bigger and had more staple bar foods. It seemed like it was all pizza and sandiwches that I didn’t find appetizing. However, their pizzas are fantastic. I ordered the whtie pizza and it was simply the best white pizza I’ve ever had. Perfect size too. Now their beers are… Different. I know another reviewer(giving a 1 star rating, really come on) said something about the beers having a chemical/metallicy taste to them. I completely agree. The Bleach Blonde and IPA I had both had a weird chemical taste to them, kind of like Big Sky’s Moose Drool… It wasn’t overpowering enough I couldn’t drink them, but they could do better. I’ll have to come back, it’s a great place to have in Liberty and a cool concept.

You MUSTCOME to this«Goldie Locks» bar in Liberty. Fantastic craft beers and one hell of a brat. This is chef inspired bar good too. I’m impressed with not only the number of beer on tap but also about the«revolving» coming soon beers. Victoria our server was awesome and saw to our every need. Pinch me… I kinda like it!
