Ambiance is fine, the staff friendly and the bar is well stocked. But the food, while not terrible, is basically just not worth the money they charge. On one occasion undercooked fish, on another a few wilted stalks of burned asparagus graced my plate. Was the rest of the food OK? Yes, but I don’t think it unreasonable that all of it should be at least palatable. Perhaps my expectations were too high but I expected Conrad’s to be really great and it wasn’t.

Nothing fancy. I wouldnt return here as service was just dismal and the food was bland and nothing fancy.

The food was average, but our server was horrible. She didn’t even introduce herself when she greeted us. She then proceeded to provide slow service and was not observant at all(no refills unless we asked). This was my first time at Conrad’s and I see no reason to return.

Hubby & I came in for dinner… Our waiter was great, nice & chatty but not overly so… Hubby had chicken & waffles, he loved it but recommends that you ask for the white gravy. I had Alehouse burger & it was good. We had boneless wings for an appetizer they were very good but portion was a little small. Overall had good food & a good time.

Love Conrad’s! Always have such a great time. Such a great up-scale, yet casual, atmosphere. Love the mix of the younger and older crowd. You never feel too old or young!

Just went up to Conrad’s to study. I sat down at a table next to other customers and pulled out my study material. Waiters and waitresses were walking past me on a regular basis. I sat there studying and was never approached by an employee. I was annoyed at first, but then I just wanted to see how long it would go. Anyways, after 2.5 hours I finished studying, got up and walked out never once being asked if I wanted water, beer, food, or a menu. Awesome!

I’ve been to Conrad’s several times and enjoy it a great deal. I’ve tried a number of things on the menu and never had anything I didn’t like. The potato skins with house made ranch are some of the best I’ve had. The sirloin steak is thick, juicy, and they always hit a perfect medium. Tastes excellent covered in their tasty peppercorn sauce. Their fettucine alfredo is hopping with flavor and a favorite of mine as well. Portion sizes are always generous. Very sizable selection of beers and spirits to choose from. All of it very reasonably priced. Never once had bad service there. Loads of televisions and a large projector screen which make it very hard to match for viewing sporting events. Since the place is massive there’s rarely an issue with being seated. I like it and will definitely continue to use it as my go to place to catch a game. Only complaint I have is that they used to have an item on their menu called the«Cheese Board» which was great and they took it off for no apparent reason. That cost them a star. :P

I ordered fried mushrooms and the Cajun pasta, I have had a lot of Cajun pastas and this was in the top 3 for sure! It was actually spicy the way it should be. The sauce was not cream base which was different but a really nice change. The fried mushrooms were delicious and perfectly cooked as well.

This place has disappointed me for too long. The food is mediocre and the service leaves much to be desired. I asked the bartender a recommendation for dinner and he couldn’t give me one. I asked about the BBQ pork, the sandwiches — all I got was«yeah, it’s okay». What is good here besides the beer? Seriously, recommend something! I’m trying to give you my business again and again! Oh, and I wouldn’t call the vegetable«medley» a medley — it’s steamed zucchini and slivers of onion(see photo). Last time I eat here.

First visit — I only visited the bar side but it was crazy busy. Everyone inside seemed to be having a good time. Our waitress was attentive and personable. The fried mushrooms were amazing and the buffalo dip was surprisingly tasty. We got to watch the Royals game, drink a few beers, share two appetizers and a dessert and spent less than $ 20 each. We’ll be back for sure.

We went to the bar side of the restaurant. We sat down and had Emily as our server. This was our second time to have her. I’m sorry to say but she was the worst. We had to wait for minutes before she came back to get our drinks. Then took a while to get our orders. It seems like her body was there but her mind probably somewhere else. If not for the service, I would give 5 stars. The potato skins was delicious and the Cajun burger was very tasty. If you want a good food and you have high tolerance for slow service you need to check this place out!

Love the food. Price and quality is similar to Cheddar’s. Service has always been great and we take our family here pretty regularly. They’ve got a deal on a major saver if you bought one of those.

The beer list is outstanding, one of the best in the northland. Service was friendly and knowledgeable, and at least on this Monday, the playlist almost entirely bands like black keys, rhcp, and greenday at just the right volume. The food was on par or a little better than the big chains in across I-35. Conrad’s does everything well, but this is really a beer lover’s bar at its heart.

CONRAD’s is in my opinion, one of the best«nice» bars in the Liberty area. The atmosphere is casual, yet it feels classy. The food is pretty good for bar fare, though I admit I’ve only dined there once. Where this bar really shines for me is in it’s tap list. There is probably a good 50 or so beers on tap with 12 in constant rotation. The breweries on tap are rock solid in my opinion with a variety of styles that should keep most any beer drinker happy. Another little known perk about CONRAD’S is the virtual golf simulator. During the cold days of winter you can take your clubs in and hit into a video screen that simulates your round of golf. Pretty cool for a golfer like me when I can’t play during the winter. So if you are in Liberty, are jonesing for some bar food and don’t want to venture in to a dive, then CONRAD’S is the place for you.

I worked in the restaurant industry for years, and understand that there are just bad days… that’s why I am writing this after my 3rd(and last) visit to Conrads. I can not figure out why it’s always busy… I guess there’s just not much else up north if Liberty Square is busy except chains. Not sure where to start, so I will rank from best to worst. 3 things make a good dining experience — drinks, food, and service. The drinks — I have no complaints about the beer and wine; they have a lot of import and local selections and my husband’s beer and my wine were great. Regarding cocktails, they are made with little love and high price tag. The food — The food is not terrible but it is not anything special — basically Applebees. The first time I tried the shrimp with vegetable and rice; all were very obviously frozen and over-seasoned to try and compensate for low-quality meat/vegetables. The appetizers are generic and overpriced. On the final visit, I ordered the special — grilled duck. I love duck so I though this was a safe bet and a chance to turn around my low opinion of the establishment. I was wrong. I can not say for certain it was canned, but it definitely was not fresh. Secondly, it was rare-very rare… as in way to rare for fowl. The service — I agree with lots of other reviews about the service-it is bad. There are other places in Liberty that are busy and provide great service. Staff for the demand and train your staff. There always appear to be plenty of servers but the wait to sit, get drinks, place order, etc is always obscene. Employees just walk by looking too busy without making eye contact… a simple«welcome to Conrad’s, I will be right back to help you» would go a long way.

Another good seat yourself bar style restaurant. 816 sweet tea was delicious! Mac n cheese was one of the top few I’ve had. Service was quick and easy(on a Sunday night) for our party of 6. Waiter was very nice and attentive. Did not play them, but there was a pool table and a few arcade games. Music wasn’t too loud. Lighting was a little dark but fit the restaurant.

I wish I had more to review, but our stay was brief and unsatisfying. First time here, probably the wrong night to pick considering there was a Royals game that just started. We walked in, and stood there, waiting for someone to acknowledge us. And waited. And waited. After about 25 minutes passed and 5 employees made eye contact without stopping to speak to us, I finally grabbed what I assumed was a manager, and asked him if it was open seating or if there was a wait list. He said«Yes, it’s open,» and then promptly walked away. Thanks, dude. I guess this is common knowledge amongst the locals? I wasn’t aware. Well, there was no where to sit and in our patient wait we let two tables pass us up because we didn’t want to butt into the imaginary line. I quickly finished my captain and diet I ordered while we were waiting for signs of life, and we high tailed it outta there. Oh yeah, the bartender was super friendly and quick. Sooo yeah.

Great place for an excellent meal and very good food. Had a Angry Apple Orchid Ale and it was on Happy Hour. Happy Hour is one size upgrade for the same price. If you want an even better drink add a shot of Fireball. The pretzels are AWSOME and are served hot. We tried all the HappyHour apps and they were all very good.

2.5 stars. Standard bar/grill with a small-town, chain-y feel(though I don’t believe it is actually a chain). The beer list is decent, most will find something they like. Like many chain-style restaurant, s there’s nothing that’s not greasy or creamy on the menu — I wanted a light snack and opted for the bruschetta, which came out as mounds of garlicky-tomatoey paste on bread. At least the DJ played some good Top 40 music. Conrad’s is a fine place to go if you’re hanging with locals, but not anything I’d go out of my way for.
