Favorite place for soft serve. Near the beach. Try the vanilla with rainbow sprinkles on a cone. Nothing better.

Marvel definitely hits the spot! Ice cream is delicious but just the same any other soft serve. There’s really no reason to drive out of the way to get it other then it’s a long beach staple.

No this isn’t a typo. Marvel is one of the top places to be in the summer if you’re looking for a sweet frozen treat. Most people in the Long Beach area will frequent here for their post-beach dessert. For me, yesterday I had finished a nice lunch in Point Lookout and knew I had to try to swing by and grab a cone(the parking lot and amount of people can be overwhelming at times). I was very lucky when I pulled up to find a couple of open spots and was able to beat the swarm of beach goers coming from down the street. I’m a simpleton when it comes to Marvel and always go with a chocolate and vanilla twist on a cone. It’s very rich and creamy and always hits the spot on a warm day like yesterday. There are plenty of other options as well(the chocolate shell they dip the ice cream in is a great choice). So if you’ve never had Marvel, do yourself the favor of taking a trip down to Long Beach and grabbing a cone.

Poor customer service. No samples, people yelling at you to order quicker, and a woman literally policing the parking lot to make sure you don’t stay a millisecond over 15 minutes. Not a friendly place, I don’t care how good your ice cream is.

Marvel ice cream has been an institution in Lido beach for years. Everyone living in Lido and Long beach come here all the time. There known for their soft serve ice cream cones in chocolate or vanilla. It’s ok, in my opinion, However there is always a line when you go there. Why. Because there’s no competition for miles. If your going to the beach it’s ok to check it out.

If you’re in long beach, you must stop here! It’s the best ice cream I’ve had in my life. This is not a shop with lots of variety, but it is amazing quality. Creamy and perfect in every way.

Carvel who? Best soft serve ice cream in Long Island. Wish they had indoors seating. Does not take credit cards.

Marvel is out of this world, there is a reason why they have been around for so many years! Both their ice cream and shakes are the best I’ve ever had. If you haven’t been, it is well worth the trip!

The ice cream here is great. It is soft and creamy. I always have a black and white cone with sprinkles. In the summer you have to lick it quick or it will melt.

This place has been here for years. Soft serve ice cream that really hits the spot on a hot day. It can get really busy during the summer. When I am in the area I always make it a point to stop here. I have tried the vanilla, chocolate and pistachio. All of them were good. The only drawback was it was $ 3.75 for a cone. But I still pay it because I really like the ice cream here.

Ever since I was a little kid, my beach days with my family would end with a stop at Marvel on our way home. Although they have a variety of ice cream, Marvel has one of the top soft serve ice cream on Long Island. Their ice cream is always fresh. I recommend a simple vanilla soft serve with rainbow sprinkles. I’m not the only one who pegs this as a hot spot! Be prepared to wait on a long line. :)

It was okay. I could get good soft served anywhere. They only take cash. Nothing was bad about this place. But I think my best friend hyped it up so much I was hoping for a soft served revolution. The place is clean and the business moves super fast. A little pricey if you ask me, $ 3.25 or whatever for a cone. GEEEEEZ. Nothing was rude though, lines were long and the employees maintained it. I got a vanilla cone with chocolate and rainbow sprinkles which also had crunch in it. And there was NOPARKING. The parking lot was full. It was great ice cream, but nothing spectacular. Although, I would go again. Not a bad experience at all.

Great soft serve, the perfect stop when heading home from the beach. Creamy with great flavor and not too sweet. I got the twist with everything sprinkles it had the crunchies mixed right in. A little pricey but not much more than you would pay at carvel, Ralph’s etc. There always seems to be a line when driving by but it moves fairly fast. I want to come back to try soft serve pistachio and a brown bonnet. Minus 1 star for the near impossible parking and the serving size(smallish) to price point is not the best.

Yum. Yummy. Marvel been here for some time now. Each time I visit Long Beach. It’s my business too stop for either two scoops of chocolate with sprinkles. Or large cup with three scoops. Conveniently located on the main street., easily spotted going either direction. Ice cream prices are sort of high. But the quality of cream is truly worth it.

YUM! I wasn’t expecting much based on the reviews but I really enjoyed the pistachio as well as coffee flavored soft serve. I saw people getting one cone with one side dipped chocolate coating and the other half dipped sprinkles. Think of all the flavor to topping combinations you can come up with! The soft serve was fresh in taste and creamy in texture. Sometimes you get softserve that tastes like half-and-half or like it had been made with artificial powder mix. Two cones, one with chocolate crunchies came out to $ 3.75. I don’t know what other people were ordering that had them charging $ 4 a cone but I was pretty happy with the serving size and quality. Parking is difficult so I recommend pulling into the residential street and have someone run out to get the cones. If it’s a hot day, park closer to the windows because the second you step away, the cones start to wilt! The only other thing is that there isn’t real rhyme or reason to the way the lines work. I couldn’t tell who was next in line, if there was just one line, or two separate lines.

3.5 stars: I might have to say there are better places out there doing creamy soft serve but this for its location will do. Perhaps it’s reputation was overhyped too much to me before I came here, who knows. This place sits aside a busy road and after a late night of beachside fireworks, this place gets CROWDED. The parking lot is tiny and lines can snake around the building, but at least they have someone directing traffic and people flow to the order windows(that elderly lady was on top of her game though). Wait time on line wasn’t awful at least since they had multiple order windows. The soft serve really is SOFT and creamy, no thanks to the outdoor heat and humidity either. The Coffee flavor is decent for all the coffee lovers out there. What left an awful taste was the Banana and Peanut Butter Swirl which lacked flavor, and tasted more like artificial sugars. AVOID. Besides the usual Vanilla and Chocolate, I’m intrigued by their Strawberry and Pistachio soft serve which will have to wait until next time. Overall this place is good enough for the area, but better places do exist. Cash only. Ugh.

Ice cream overload this weekend and the scale is groaning from the experience. Back to the grindstone Monday! Marvel is nostalgic– so many years stopping here on hot summer days at Long Beach, Malibu or Point Lookout! First with my new bride Lisa E., over 20 years ago; then with each successive baby– a right of passage for them, eating a soft serve come sitting on the high curb on the side street– racing against the melt from wind and heat. Today strawberry and pistachio swirl unadorned; next time late summer vanilla dip and roll(chocolate shell and nuts). 4 stars because I remember when comes were less than $ 2 — prices a bit higher now– does that mean I am getting old?

Deliciousssss and refreshing after a hot hot hot day at long beach. Lines get crazy long at times but we managed to beat the rush today somehow. We got two cones each with a topping for $ 4 each which I thought was pretty good since its a very well known place in LB. Parking lot is a little crazy and 15 min maximum, and no benches to sit boooo but there’s a nice shady spot on the side a bunch of people stand under. Overall great way to end the day!

What’s not to love about soft serve ice cream after a long hot day! Parking lot stinks, too small and crowded. Employees are friendly and quick to get your order. Marvel has been here forever. 5-stars for this place. I wanted a traditional classic vanilla cone, hard chocolate and special colored sprinkles so I went with it. Delicious. Next time I’d try the pistachio, I keep seeing everyone recommend this flavor!
