A significant other can walk out on you when you do not change something about you that does not sit right. Or sometimes they walk out on you to change themselves. Flavor. Texture. Service. Ara’s Sakana-Ya closed on October 25, 2015, and yet Konohiki Seafood opens, taking its place. Some of the Ara’s staples come along with it – Hamachi, tako, and ahi poke. Spicy tuna don(poke bowl). It makes you feel so comfortable, it’s as if a loved one never left. But most importantly, Konohiki brings back a long-lost love – ginger fried chicken that is reminiscent of Hanamaulu Café’s legendary fried chicken. Classic. Simple. Back here forever.

Amazing poke! Hole in the walk market our kayak guide took us to. They have the plain poke and you can add whatever sauce you would like to your own taste. So good!

they have kulolo, if you happen to be here and they have it in stock, you want to stock up they have a great selection of poke, including some that i have not seen elsewhere(salmon belly, lobster, and king crab). the service is friendly, the food delicious, the food on par with what you’d expect to pay elsewhere.
