Searched the whole island for an authentic Gyro. Rilly Philly creates a Gyro that is amazing and filled with the correct ingredients(plenty of meat and Tzatziki) and was not a salad on a piece of pita(like the Mediterranean Restaurant in Hanalei). So happy to find this truck! We will be back again and again and again.

Original gyro was delicious reminded me of mainland. Fries were real tasty. Pita was soft, meat was perfectly seasoned. Only 1 star missing because there coulda been more fries for 11 dollars. Last time I was here sandwich bread was hard. Guess I’ll givem another shot

Awesome food, cooked expertly and exactly how you like. They just added Gyros to the menu and it goes prefect with the garlic furikake fries. They have plate lunches and the best Philly Cheese Steaks this side of Philly! Super prices and quick friendly service.

This was pretty fast and convenient for my husband and me before our flight. It was mediocre. Nothing special and not too bad. The fries were kinda disappointing. Friendly service. Limited seating.

We were in a hurry, thought why not try! I had a positive mindset! Food in Kauai is a hit or miss. I ordered two phillys one with mushrooms and bell peppers. I ate my while we drove and was so hungry gave it a chance. It was all sloppy and low amount of meat, the peppers we so overcooked. The bread was not too fresh. I gave the fries to my daughter she hated them. Great that was her lunch before horseback riding lessons. The fries were undercooked. My husband was not happy 28 bucks later we we all left with a tummy ache. Bummed out for sure. Hope it gets better, but we won’t be back, cooking at home again !

Expected more… bread was dry and garlic french fries were not crisp, more on the soft side. Generous portion of french fries. Ordered the spicy cheesesteak that was messy but it has a lot of flavor!

Staff was polite but didn’t like the food. The presentation was really bad. they forgot to put BBQ sauce on my husband’s pulled pork sandwich, the baked beans looked like the scrapings from the bottom of a barrel, and the coleslaw had no flavor. Not worth the $ 30 I spent on lunch for two of us.

Excellent! Friendly Staff! Quick service! Delicious! I tried the special BBQ Pulled Pork Sub. Delicious! Loaded with meat, coleslaw and bread had good crunch! Almost forgot napkins, but I was still licking my fingers. I drive Cab, when visitors ask where to eat I don’t usually recommend tourist trap restaurants. I tell tourists about dis kine food trucks! Better service and less expensive then a resort meal, for sure! I need to try the classic Philly next…

I should begin by saying that I am from the East coast, Maryland, about an hour from Philadelphia, so I have sampled numerous cheese steaks. It’s my favorite food, and I have a really strong idea of how they should taste/be. I was happy to see the subs offered in 12 inch sizes. Too many times sub places will offer smaller sizes at higher prices. I feel like the prices here were reasonable and people shouldn’t expect low prices from a place just because it’s a food truck. This is more of a premium food item than say tacos, or a simple sandwich. Thankfully, they aren’t using minute steaks, you’re getting real meat. It’s cooked well, and seasoned properly. The choice of cheese is welcomed, and I appreciated diced onions as opposed to sliced. It made the sub easier to eat. The bread was soft as well. The fries were delicious. Overall I enjoyed the cheese steak. I didn’t give it 5 stars because I reserve them for the best I’ve ever had. However, seeing as we are on Kauai, and it came from a food truck, I was very pleased. I would visit again and get another sub. Side note: my dad got a burger and he said it was very delicious. Well done!

Positive: –Staff is great. –From beginning to end, every bite had meat in it. –Something different for Kaua’i. –Sandwiches don’t taste too bad. Negative: –Fries and mozzarella sticks were burnt. Tasted like burnt/old oil. –Fries were way too oily and not crunchy at all. –Prices are fair, but not for burnt food. –Loaded fries should NOT have bell peppers on it. EWWW! –Menu is not updated on the website. I wouldn’t have ordered the loaded fries if it were. I’m full but not satisfied. I most likely will give it one more try. Hopefully things will be better.

I’m the owner, but stand behind the quality of the food. We have a «customer is always right policy» ~ talk to us and let us know how you like your sandwiches & we’ll hook it up the way you like it :)

People complain about the«high» cost of food trucks. Whether or not you have experience in the food industry, you gotta know that food trucks still have to pay for all the licensing, gas, generators, supplies etc., in addition to the high costs of quality food. This particular truck sources organic grass-fed beef, you know, the kind you are tempted to skip over at the grocery store because of the higher price. And they are passionate about their homemade fries and fresh baked bread. Yes, I confess I would rather pay closer to $ 9 a cheesesteak than $ 11. But I know I am getting quality food. As for the TASTE — I was pleased with the great flavors without being overwhelming on the salt. First time I can say I enjoyed a philly cheesesteak this way! I tried the Supreme, and because of their awesome hours, I will definitely be back and make my way down their menu. There were approximately 6 customers when I was there. They are working hard to make sure you don’t want too long for your order. Great job, good luck, and see you soon!

UPDATE: Owner responded to my review and it shows that he cares about what his customers think which ranks up there for me. Having served in the military for 20 years, I’ve done my fair share of travelling and tasted many a cheese steak so although I’ve not had an actually«Philly» cheese steak, I’ve tasted ones that I would definitely go back for again and again. He was correct in pointing out that the cards were stacked against him at the get go. I do want to clarify one point and that is I was not implying his operation specifically in the example I made with regard to food safety and sanitation. I also have to disagree with the fixed costs being similar to brick and mortar establishments. Unfortunately, he was the test for me to be proven wrong on my «food truck» opinion. Don’t think I’ll try it again, but wish him the best of luck and hopefully I will be in the minority on reviews. Let me preface this review with my antipathy towards«food trucks.» So after reading the reviews in the local newspaper about this place I thought I would give it a try. Unfortunately, this experience with Rilly Philly Cheesesteaks has reinforced my dislike towards this type of food service establishment. Horrible! First of all, I dislike food trucks because I feel that they are way overpriced. I mean you pay the same price as you would for a sit down establishment with 1⁄3 of the costs associated with a brick and mortar restaurant. Why the high prices? Secondly, I have a certification in Food and Beverage Management and know for a fact that they do not practice food safety and sanitation that a physical food establishment does.(Example: They must utilize a three compartment sink to safely sanitize cooking utensils. These converted panel vans and such do not have the facilities for this! ). Now to my opinion of Rilly Philly Cheesesteaks… Way overpriced! For the amount of(or lack of) meat on the standard philly was disappointing to say the least. It was more like eating a hunk of bread with a little meat flavoring. The onions were still raw. The meat tasted like there was no seasoning added. This would be laughed out of Philly! Will not be visiting this place again nor will I be sending customers their way.

I work nearby and I eat here on the regular! Stellar grinds and a very friendly staff! These guys are awesome, I’ve almost had everything on the menu so far and it’s all been top notch. Their rolls are freshly baked and their spinoffs of Philly cheesesteaks are great. I hope they stick around for the long-run! Gotta try the fried sometime too! Freshly made on-site!

Great food at a great price. They had a special of a Western Philly cheese steak with rice and chili and banana cake. The rolls are fresh made and you can tell. The rice and chili was a great mix. The banana cake was very moist. The sandwich was just a great mix of flavors and lots of meat. Definitely a misty while on Kauai.

I will go back a try more menu items. I think the food is great just the sandwich was pretty small. I like the location also, friendly people working there and it was clean! I will give it more stars if they adjust the portions vs. Price.
