Consistently good, occasionally great! Last night was one of the greats. It was a quiet dinner hour because(I suppose) of the NFL championship game. The sports bar and dining room bar were busy, but the dining room was quiet. Often a quiet restaurant means the staff gets lazy and service is poor. That was NOT the case at Meridians. Our service was speedy, professional and pleasant — just what you want it to be. Now for the even greater part. Our server explained the one special for the evening was marinated leg of lamb — 2 slices finished on the grill and served with a ragu of tomatoes and chick peas plus a couscous pilaf. The lamb was very tasty, prepared to a perfect medium-rare, and nicely complemented by the sides. It made a great Mediterranean-style entrée. And such a bargain — there was enough for me to take half of it home for another tasty meal tonight. And the price was only $ 18. Definitely a $ 28-$ 30 entrée at any of the local restaurants and well over $ 30 in the Bay Area. My husband wanted a light meal and ordered the shrimp louie. It was excellent, but again it was almost twice as much as he could eat. And we are not wimpy eaters — the portions are just quite generous. Meridians is definitely one of the great perqs of living in Sun City Lincoln Hills, although of course it is open to the public., The menu is sufficiently varied that it can appeal to our guests and visitors from a very young age to quite senior. You can be healthy or you can splurge. The choice is yours!

This is a restaurant on a golf course in the Sun City retirement community. It’s nice to see customers get dressed up to have their meal, even though I didn’t(and felt bad for it). There’s no dress code; it’s more of a generational thing, I guess. The servers are friendly, and our glasses were always full. I was amused by the food choices like bacon cheeseburgers – things that don’t seem all that healthy for the retirees. That’s exactly what I chose for my meal. I have to say it was quite good. It was juicy and flavorful, and the bun was fresh. The fries that came with it were thin and crispy on the outside – just the way I like it.

The best thing about this restaurant is the beautiful scenery. We ate there last night. What a disaster. It took an hour just to take our order(that should have been our first indication something was wrong). There was five of us and two orders were wrong when they brought out the food. The food had to be returned. Very slow on refilling of drinks. Not very attentive. I wouldnt recommend the place

Visited Meridians yesterday with about 20 other family members, so maybe the food is better with smaller parties. My personal experience was this place was an absolute joke. It’s one thing to overcharge, serve tiny portions, or provide poor service. Meridians does all three while looking you straight in the eyes, and mercilessly harvesting the tears from your cheeks. First, I ordered two of their«Signature» Summer Shandys, which is just a dark beer with some lemonade added($ 7). As the bartender begain making them, he realized he was out of Sierra Nevada so he had to go back to the bar to get more. When he got back, he realized he was out of lemonade, and sent a server to go get more. Once he had both of the two whole ingredients required, rather than pour them both in glass and serve them, he instead handed me me two glasses with about a shot of lemonade in each. Then handed me two bottles of beer so I could complete the process of making my drinks for him. At this point I could only hope that once it was time to order my dinner, I’d get to go back in the kitchen and cook it myself. When we finally did order our food, we had to eat everything with an extra order of disappointment. I ordered what was described as fish and chips($ 10.50), what was brought to my table was was basically three finger sized fish sticks and a tiny portion of French fries. My wife ordered the ravioli($ 15), which ended up being about 8oz of pasta served in a bowl that is designed to be used for appetizer sized portions– no bread or any other sides. My three teenaged kids also ordered the fish and chips, so after spending about $ 75 after tax and tip, we were all still starving and got to enjoy what Hobbits refer to as «2nd Dinner», at the local A&W.

Total disclaimer, only been here once and ordered 2 things. My other half was telling me how great the bloody mary’s are over here. I never used to like bloody mary’s and have found a new appreciation for them. We woke up Sunday morning and decided to head over. We sat in the bar area and we were greeted right away. Our waiter came by right away and he was really friendly and energetic. It was also kinda cool that he sounded like the Zohan. Anywho… we ordered our bloody mary’s and he suggested the ultimate bloody mary, hey why not? Here’s the true test, he asked how spicy we would like them, I said not spicy, other half said spicy. I have little faith in service nowadays so I didn’t think mine would be mild. Surprise, surprise, it was mild and the ultimate bm’s come with a slice of bacon… hellooo breakfast! We also ordered calamari which were the bigger pieces of calamari that almost make them look like onion rings. They were good, nothing to write home about though. Two bloody marys later and we left happy! This might be my new Sunday morning breakfast spot!

Located in the clubhouse at Lincoln Hills Golf Course, this is a well appointed restaurant with a nice openness to it. We were her for a work event and had a special menu. I went with a ground beef and peppers soft taco and a shredded chicken soft taco. It also came with mixed greens and a soft chocolate chip cookie for dessert. The beef was underseasoned and bland and the chicken was well seasoned and tasty. The cookie was fresh out of the oven and the winner.

We had a work event here and Meridians catered. They set us up with a taco bar. We had both chicken and ground beef and all the fixings. I thought everything was good and flavored well. Bonus for the fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies at the end of the meal. They know what they’re doing here.

Wow. So shocked to see any bad reviews here? I never post my reviews but had such a great experience at Meridians that I wanted to post and tell everyone. I was shocked to see any bad reviews. This restaurant is GREAT!!! The staff was excellent and there for our every need, the food was delicious, the prices were unbelievable, and the place was VERY clean. We had dinner here last night and I can’t rave enough about this place. We were seated very promptly and had a waiter at our table within a minute. The food was great and the drink prices were unbelievably affordable. We both used the restroom and were pleasantly surprised with how clean they were even during a very busy dinner time. Sure you can go to one of the overpriced corporate restaurants in Roseville and pay the silly prices. But if you want a upscale dining experience at reasonable prices then this is the place to be. We definitely plan to return soon!!!

Meridians can ‘t compare to the Timbers restaurant at its counterpart Del Webb community in Roseville. At Timber you never have to flag someone down to be waited on. They get it. They see you come in and they greet and seat. You grow old(er) just waiting for service at Meridians. And at Timbers they change out their wide range of menu items often. At Meridians you’ll find same selections year after year. Quality and normal American fare is so much better at Timbers. I live in Lincoln but would much rather ‘go the extra miles’ to Timbers because it is worth it.

My friends and I eat dinner at Meridians 3 to7 nights per week. We like the varied menus and the fresh ingredients. Last night we very much enjoyed the Prime Rib. The service was great, very attentive.

After a pleasant if slow round of golf on the Hill Course, this restaurant was not only convenient but appeared to have fairly good reviews. After the friendly host seated us at a window table overlooking the course we had what seemed like a lifetime to look at the course as we waited for someone, anyone to approach our table or even to make eye contact with us. After a return to the host ‘s station and the suggestion that we were there actually to have dinner, a waiter approached the table and took our drink orders. Another short lifetime passed without the drinks, an offer of water or god forbid a plate of bread. Two of the pleasant young people serving in the dining room were asked about water or bread as the evening passed. Neither arrived. The drinks finally arrived and the order was taken. The order arrived but did not match what our phantom waiter had recorded. The food was serviceable but unless you are a regular in a first name basis with a waiter or unless you need a good 45 minutes to build up an appetite, I would leave this enclave and move to a any restaurant in Roseville to order your meal and still be able, as an experiment, to return to you table here and still be waiting for what prophetically is referred to as a «waiter.»

Been here twice and haven’t been disappointed. Food is well above average. Not overly daring menu but covers most of the bases. The best feature is the value. Tough to spend more $ 50 for 2 at dinner. The ambiance is splendid. Great views of the course and city beyond. Visit even if you don’t live in Lincoln.

Meridians wait staff are always pleasant & helpful but diners often have long waits for meals and for refills of beverages. I think management is trying to keep labor costs down in order to meet expectation that a profit is made. This is especially apparent when there is a special event, such as a crab feed or hot august nights when wait times can be lengthy & one wonders why that there weren’t more staff working!!! The food is ok to good but can sometimes be tasteless. I think Meridians is as popular as it is because its so handy for those of us who live here at Sun City and want something close. I do appreciate their new shot glass desserts which are tasty, reasonable and satisfies my sweet tooth without me feeling guilty for having dessert. I do wish they would offer one or 2 menu items with calorie & nutrition content that diners could count on.

I’ve been here a few times now. The place isn’t high on my priority list when it comes to dining establishments, as I don’t really venture out this way much. The last time we were here, was more like eight years ago. We had dined here as a family when our kids were little. At the time, it was a little pricey and the ambiance was more reserved and for retired folks. We enjoyed our experience and the food was delicious. There is a a country club feeling without the restrictions or stuffiness, as most would presume. It’s open to the public, and the food and wait staff are very professional. It’s located in Lincoln Sun City, majority of the people here are über friendly and very down to earth. An acquaintance, who lives in Sun City, who volunteers for our class, mentioned the great food and specials at the bar. We took her advice, although we missed Happy Hour and came here for drinks and apps on our last visit. I highly recommend the roasted beet cups. At a whopping, $ 6.50, it tantalizes your taste buds! Endive with roasted beets, dates, goat cheese, walnuts, arugula with a balsamic reduction. The fried calamari with aioi was much to be desired, we didn’t even finish half of our dish. The steak quesadillas, were above average, lots of tender steak with roasted red peppers accompanied by sour cream, guac, and salsa, $ 6.50. What knocked us off our rockers were the prices of the food and drinks. VERYREASONABLE! $ 6.50 for hub’s Long Island and $ 4.50 for my glass of Merlot. It wasn’t even Happy Hour but I think those are Happy Hour prices! Great service and fantastic food in Sun City, an active adult community.

We had weekend guests visiting from the Bay Area this last weekend and were looking for a place to take them for dinner. We noted that Meridians restaurant, near where we live and often dine, had Jazz music scheduled from 6 – 8PM. Looking forward to, and because of the jazz music, we made reservations for four at 6. When we arrived we were immediately seated — but no jazz music. Ambience: Great, as usual. Service: Very good. Food: Very good(lamb shank). We asked Meridians staff about the jazz music and they said that when there is an event in the adjacent ball room, they don’t have music in the dining room. Whoever is responsible for publishing the calendar needs be more clear and accurate about when, where, and if there is to be music. We brought our guests to dinner to enjoy the music and that did not happen. The calendar published with the Compass magazine needs to be accurate.

Dinner on a Saturday night. Friends in Sun City invited us over for dinner. Meal and service were good. Menu is limited but it changes often. Good atmosphere. Looking forward to the next time! Bleu cheese bacon/tomato wedge salad, salmon over pasta, baked potato really hit the spot.

It was ok. Pretty normal food selection(we came during breakfast). I personally thought my Belgian waffle was a bit undercooked — needed more crunch. Service was good, not great. Coffee good. Interestingly, they have two bars. One is more of a Sports-bar, the other more of a casual bar. Very nice restaurant and property overlooking the golf course.

This review is for the bar/restaurant next to Meridians. Husband to play all afternoon today. We had lunch in the bar — really good burger and really good Kobe sliders. Potato salad accompanying the sliders was excellent! Burger was fine and cooked exactly to order. I stayed in the bar for the afternoon to work on writing projects. The servers, especially Kimmy, were not only gracious enough to let me occupy a table for 6, yes six hours(he practiced for 1 hr then played 5 hrs), but also went to the trouble to check in with me throughout the afternoon. Several times I offered to move myself and my projects out of the bar when it started to get busy. The servers assured me that I was not in the way. Husband agreed to stay for dinner since it was so late. We had dinner in the bar, and the chicken quesadillas that we both ordered were OUSTANDING! And the portions were huge! We brought home enough for entire second meal for each. THANKYOU to Kimmy and to her colleague Kim for their gracious service and friendliness today. We will be back!

Big, open dining room. Pretty layout. Can handle big groups. Does weddings. On a golf course, so there’s pretty views out the windows. Mediocre food. Bland, boring, Sysco crap ingredients. The high quality china, crystal, linens and silverware do not make up for the bland food on the plate. This above average venue deserves better cuisine. This is a dining experience for people with useless taste buds.

I have never come here for breakfast or lunch, but I hope to one day soon. I hear the view is beautiful. My review is for dinner. I am a vegetarian, and they offer a delicious salad that I order almost everytime that I go. It is called the Fuji Apple Salad, and I order it without the chicken. It is always so delicious! I think that Meridians is a beautiful restaurant, and it has a nice ambiance that is relaxing while I eat. I usually like to eat in the sports bar, so that I can watch a little tv while i eat. My favorite waitress is Maria. She is very pleasant and always has a smile on her face. She is professional and knows what she is doing. The only issue I have is that I don’t live in Sun City, and the only way I found out about this is because my grandmother lives in Sun City. They should really advertise outside of Sun City more, this is the nicest restaurant in Lincoln!
