I would like to give a little more than three but not quite four, and this is why. The food is delicious! I will absolutely be going back for a wet burrito. The fries are also very good. The service is what gives it a three. I went on a Friday evening at dinner time which is when I would expect the best servers to be on at a place like this. Not so much. The guy in the kitchen making food had no idea what salsa was spicy and what was not(I have a newborn so spicy food is out right now for obvious reasons). I got my food very quick, but it was soooooo spicy. I asked for a different salsa and he said that was the mild so I was nervous the chicken was spicy. Finally after asking me five times what I want in my burrito, another girl came over and suggested I get the salsa on the side. Thankful for her, bc I enjoyed every darn bite!(Albeit, he put the sour cream inside instead of the side like I asked but that was yummy and I’ll do that again). I will go back, but they need to up their employee game. I kinda felt like I was talking to all the«D» students in the class when I was there. The ones who pay juuuuust enough attention to pass, but not to do very well.

Queso is a cross between Chipotle and a burger joint. The food is great but it suffers from an identity crisis. I wish the owners would have picked a better location because it’s tucked back in a little strip mall that you will definitely pass the first time you try to find. I’ve heard from relatives that the burgers are good but for this visit my family settled on the Mexican side of the menu. My wife had the crunchy chicken tacos which were just as described with a good crunch on the shell. My son tried the tortilla soup which was a little spicy for his four year old pallet but filled with shredded chicken and vegetables and reheated well. They have a great kids menu, my daughter settled on the bean burrito with a side of rice and beans. Last I had a smothered chicken burrito filled with rice, beans, chunks of grilled chicken and all the fix’ns. I was very tasty and hit the spot. I will definitely be coming back here for my next burrito or burger fix.

I wana give em 5 just for the steak wet burrito — which probably is one of the best ive ever had BUT they always forget items when you order delivery! Twice now. Got the chicken soft tacos there too which were not too exciting should of been fresher. However the churros are banging!

They downsized their rice and beans, the«combo» for $ 4 extra is literally the size of a salad dressing cup. Not worth it at all. They messed up our order 3 separate times where we had to go back and then they still messed it up. The food is mediocre and the customer service is okay.

Queso is probably my favorite place to be in the entire world. The workers are always super friendly and the food comes out perfect every time. I have one complaint. The parking lot, the parking is awful but once you get over that obstacle, there is nothing standing between you, and whatever you are craving on their menu. They have anything from salad to burgers to burritos. The classic burrito wrap is my personal go-to. I do not know one person who would rather go to Chipotle after having Queso two times. I highly suggest you to stop by and try anything they have on the menu, you will be very pleased with the result you get.

While Queso is a «quick serve» kind of restaurant I would say the burritos can rival some area restaurants and in many ways are better. The food is always hot and fresh and made exactly how you ask for it(and done right!). There is a great selection of proteins for your burrito or you can try one of their delicious quesadillas(buffalo chicken is a favorite of mine). Their chips and guacamole are great. Fresh, never stale tasting and the salsa that accompanies the chips and guac is really fresh and you get to have both the regular and hot varieties. We have never been disappointed at Queso. The place is delicious, spotless and family friendly.

The food is excellent! And they deliver! Excellent find! My favorite dinner is the nacho appetizer. My wife loves the fajitas. We used to order such things from Chili’s but find Queso’s food to be way, way more authentic. My new fav!

Loved this place! Wish they would make it up in North Jersey. Fresh ingredients, good combos, great prices, what’s not to love? I even checked online to see if it was a chain but it is not.(Looks a little like a chipotle) Great lunch spot!

Don’t understand the bad reviews. Wandered in here after living in the area for 3 years and was treated to a SLAMMIN steak burrito. Not just good. I said SLAMMIN. The steak wet burrito is my go to item on the menu but I’ve also tried the quesadillas and taco salad which are equally as good. Service is good considering it’s mostly neighborhood kids working in there. Orders taken and food in hand always under 10 minutes. If it wasn’t for this place I’d have to drive all the way into red bank for a decent burrito.

Wide menu selection; trendy look to the shop; nice staff. My steak and shrimp burrito was quite tasty. Since I was dining in it was served on a real plate to my table(after ordering/paying at the counter) with a very attractive plating. Would have been four-star review but for this: I have to hold back one star because the item was just only warm — not piping hot as I expected/wanted. I was there very early for lunch(~10:45), and I have the sense that the steam tables just had not yet had time to heat the fillings(rice, beans, meat) very thoroughly. But: will return.

I went to this location with some coworkers on Tuesday, April 7th for lunch. I ordered a burrito, they forgot to add the salsa. My vegetarian friend ordered a veggie burger and sweet potato fries, they put bacon on her burger and served her normal fries. My other friend ordered a turkey burger with fries, they gave him a beef burger and no fries. We sent back the food, and waited about fifteen minutes for the new food to come out. While waiting, I decided to speak to the manager. He said it was our fault, and that we merely switched the burgers up. I told him that’s not possible, since none of the burgers were accurate. He told me he didn’t even remember seeing a ticket for a veggie burger. I won’t be coming back.

«Dad, where do you want to go for birthday lunch?» «Queso» “Really? Didn’t that like a chain? Like subway?“ So, I did a little research on Unilocal. What the Hell, it’s his birthday and it seems ok. A little history: My father and I think burritos are the perfect food. When we went to see a play in the city, I took him to my favorite(slightly dive) burrito joint, which is no longer there. This place exceeded my expectations!!! My dad had a crispy chicken burrito and I a veggie one. Service was quick and the food was good. We also had a delicious quesadilla. They have burgers too. The place was clean and well lit. Not a dive at all!!! I plan on going back.

They shut off their grills before they closed. Learn how to run a business. Lock the door or say you are closed not that you are closing in 20 mins, that I can get a salad.

The wet burrito is awesome! The place is comfortable and there are a lot of great options on the menu. Love that you have so many choices of hot sauce available at each table.

Used to be excellent but has gone downhill over the past 6 months or so. I was here 2 – 3 times a month but now I refuse to go back. Multiple incidents of orders being entered /made wrong, things missing on the order even though they were one the receipt, etc. That, and the prices seem to be higher. Meh… avoid until they get their act together again.

Queso isn’t a chain … But, it should be! All indications point to something larger than a local business … The professional décor, layout is trendy, almost(dare I say it) … Hip. The menu is extensive, encompassing a plethora of burrito fare with numerous options(habanero!) and chili, with an additional selection of burgers and the like. Haven’t tried the burgers(it seems a little superfluous), but the burritos are bangin’! Fresh ingredients, and a wide variety of sauces(habanero!). The chili is homemade, with a nice spicy kick. Wish I could write«check it out in a town near you», but the only way to sample their fare is a trip there … Take it!

My parents have always drove by this place but they never tried it. So one day randomly we decided that we wanted to go for some mexican and found this place on Unilocal. This place is a hidden gym. I ordered the Steak Burrito and it was great. I was surprised at how big the portion was. I would consider it two meals. Will be going back forrsure

Despite the appearance it’s not a chain. Plus this place is freaking amazing !!! Haven’t had a bad meal here yet. So pretty much if the fantastic four came to town to come visit me, and wanted a fast Mexican meal… I say I know the perfect place, And you can bring Dr. DOom if he promises to behave himself
