Awful food. Over priced dirty restaurant. We would have eaten better at Taco Bell and they suck! Will never go back. We Ordered chick enchiladas and 2 tacos. How can you mess up tacos??? We could have been eating Shepard or horse for all I know

After reading previous reviews about how cold it was and I didn’t notice that a HVAC repair man was on the location repairing the heat so they must take reviews serious food was very great flavors in their salsa bar had a very large variety. Would recommend

Holy crap Jake spend some money and turn the heat on. Usually love the food here but couldn’t get past seeing my breath in the restaurant to enjoy it. We where the only two customers in the place and our food took forever. The credit card terminal was down so they were only taking cash (several people left for this reason). BAD NIGHT and to be honest this isn’t my first. I just chose to ignore the others because it is a local place and I wanted to support it. It is now getting to the point where I can’t ignore it any longer. Bad food tonight and COLD restaurant with no credit cards

Food is so great and the staff is friendly! Have gone here as long as we lived in the area and its awesome! Have never had a bad experience, the margaritas are great as well as the horchata which is a must!

When we lived in Antioch many years ago we grabbed carryout maybe once a week and it was great. We ate there a few times too and had never had a problem.
Tonight we went there because we were passing through town and hungry. It has definitely taken a dive in the service department. We were handed menus when we walked in and told to have a seat while we decided and to come to the counter when we were ready. When we got in line we were second in line. We remained second in line for about ten minutes. While we stood there the only person taking orders took two phone orders. During that time she repeatedly coughed into the same hand she used to hand us a basket of chips and salsa when we walked in. If I get sick I’m going to be really pissed. Finally we walked out and went down to Nino’s a couple of doors down and had a good experience. I doubt we’ll return any time soon.

I love their food! It’s great, really. It is a genuine Mexican feel restaurant with great beer and margaritas. I love their burrito mas grande. I worship their food. Ugh. I want it right now!

My family has been coming here for as long as I can remember. If we crave burritos — it’s Grandes. There is no second option. I had the fish tacos the other day, those were good too. My brother gets the burgers every other time — just to switch it up. I mean we’ve probably eaten Grande’s Mas Grande Steak Burrito at least… 47 times in my lifetime. Don’t go anywhere else for mexican food, it’ll be disappointing in comparison.

Food is a great value… people are friendly chips and salsa is great dining in… Has outdoor seating when the weather is nice… their Groupon is a crazy deal too

I’ve been going there for years. …never again. The food is the same but the service is terrible.
Standing there waiting to order and the idiot behind the counter takes not one but 3 order over the phone while I just stand there. …screw them

Been coming here since the restaurant opened. This has always been my go to place for very yummy tex-​mex food. The staff always has a table ready when I walk in. Highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Well we tried them one more time — after 3.5 minute hold, placed order and referenced situation that occurred previously and had them reread the order. My teenager picked up the order… once again, we were missing an item. And no mas for us…3 Amigos all the way.

Love the salsa bar! Nice friendly staff. Their assortment of salsas is really great! Sweet mild and spicy!

Spices in the air as we walked into the restaurant, friendly staff that greeted me and my friends. The interior isn’t very pleasant looking and the seats/​tables aren’t very clean or decent looking. We were seated quickly and given menus, we didn’t know/weren’t informed that we had to go up to the register and order, but we figured it out as we noticed the waitress was just on her phone, after she gave us delicious salsa chips with some salsa and something else that wasn’t bad. We were quite hungry and finished the chips before our food came, but they were replaced with another (free) tray.
The food was brought to us pretty quickly but the waitress never asked if we wanted drinks, so we got some on our own. We all ordered the grande jakes, I got the steak one with a steak taco, just to try it. The food was a little cold, and didn’t taste very fresh, the lettuce, steak, and tomatoes all had poor taste to it.
Wouldn’t recommend/​most likely won’t come back.

I went here to enjoy lunch with my sister. The people here were very kind and friendly to us! We were planning to do take out, and they offered chips and salsa to us at no charge. Maybe that is what they do anyways, but we decided to stay as a show of our appreciation for the service. I went after reading one review that mentioned how the salsa was like spiced ketchup. I have to admit that it was true, but they have a salsa bar with lots of other salsas that were delicious! The ground beef looks a little sad, but the food was still pretty good. I would come back again!

Really good food here. I am a little disappointed that they stopped having standard Pico de Gallo (without mango) on their salsa bar, when I asked for some extra for my tacos they charged me a few dollars for a tiny cup of it. We went on a Sunday and they didn’t bring us any chips & salsa like they have been doing for years and we had to ask for that too. Not sure what’s going on with this location. Otherwise the food is great!

My first time ever coming here, I noticed the décor is very laid back and home-​styled. Nothing fancy so it’s a good place to go to hang out with a friend or two and talk.
I heard very good things about this place but never had the opportunity to try it. When I did, I was far less than impressed. I got a grilled steak Burrito Mas Grande and was disappointed greatly. For a $ 7 meal, I expected more steak, beans and all of that great stuff and not so much lettuce. If I were to calculate it, I would say about 80−85% of the burrito was nothing but lettuce. The rest was fried beans and there was a very skimpy amount of steak. For the price, they could have at least gave me a little more beans and steak. Don’t get me wrong, quality is fairly good and one other good thing? Free chips! :)
Service was nice but the lady at the front didn’t seem to know how to work the POS system and kept swearing at it. She was friendly though and tended to every one of our needs.
Would I come here again? No. Simple as that. For $ 7, I would rather go somewhere else nearby. I’m no advertiser so I am not going to say where but I certainly would not consider Grande Jake’s when looking for somewhere to eat.
Now, with that being said, would I recommend this place? Perhaps. You may enjoy it more than I did because I understand not everyone is the same and what one person may not like, another person may.

Have always been a fan of this Mexican restaurant. Order at the counter, have a seat and get chips and salsa. Hubby and I have ordered almost everything off the menu and we’ve enjoyed all of it. Even when the place is packed, the food comes out in a timely manner.
Only thing I miss is their outdoor seating, we used to bring the dog to sit out and enjoy a lovely meal.

Authentic mexican food but I’ve seen better. Eat at your own risk though as the sanitary conditions here would not pass a pop inspection. The toilet had had to be flushed with a shoestring, the bathroom was absolutely filthy, the waitress handled food with dirty hands and they were out of about half of their menu items. Not worth a trip to the emergency room for food poisoning.
