Venue closed. Has changed names. Haven’t been yet, and from past experience, I’m not in all that much of a hurry.

If you come here just order rack liquor, tried 3 different vodkas and they were all the same crap, they should be closed down

I cannot comment on the food because we left almost as soon as we sat down. Since it is right around the block from me, I took my mother-in-law and son for a bite to eat. It was so loud, definitely a bar atmosphere rather than a restaurant, the way it used to be. We were ogled as we walked in the door, which made us all really uncomfortable. I will look for more family-friendly restaurants in the future.

Did not have a good experience here. If you are under the age of 30 you will be honed in on by everyone at the bar. The bartender was super friendly and nice and Drink prices are good(they have five or six beers on tap) but the bar is literally right next to the bathroom. It is hard to enjoy the bar ambiance when people are filtering in and out of a bathroom. The smell is what promoted us to leave and trek on foot for a mile to the next nearest bar– glad we left. I think the smell almost killed me.

Went in here. Prices are cheap but you pay in other ways. Bathroom is right next to the bar and so you get a nice whiff of chemical cleaner(or worse) every time someone swings that door open and forgets to shut it on the way out. A bunch of old timers in here ragging on the young folk. Leaves something to be desired. Won’t be back.

Stopped in tonight, they just opened this week. A bit spruced up from the previous owner. With just opening, they were only serving a limited menu, with a full menu starting next week. Service was outstanding, our waitress was very pleasant, attentive and knowledgeable(even when put on the spot with 90’s movie trivia). Started with spinach and artichoke dip, mozzarella dip and fried pickles. The star here was the pickles! thick, juicy and battered(no cornmeal here) with a very tasty dipping sauce with a nice kick. The spinach dip was standard, tasty but to a standout dish. Entrée was the Hangar steak, which was accompanied by string beans and Parmesan Truffle French fries. The marinated steak was extremely tasty, yet two of the 3 of us had a little too much salt. The string beans were extremely tasty, but the frenchfries were the first to disappear from our plates. We also had the vegetable stuffed crepes in a hollandaise sauce which were flanked by potatoes. Very good as well. Dessert followed with NY Cheescake and an apple caramel pie. Both were very very good. Probably the best feature of this new and starting out restaurant is the fact that the chef walked around to all of the tables twice while we were dining, asking how everything was. She was very open to the few points of criticism, and seemed very sincere in listening and wanting to perfect her dishes. We recognized the salt in the steak, and discussed her intentions in correcting it for the future. Overall, I will return(probably frequently). Good atmosphere, good food, good service. Highly recommend. This place has the ability to be a really good local spot.
