This place is always packed so they must be doing something right! I love the store, it’s a great time killer while your waiting for your table! The store has a little of everything. The menu is pretty big and usually confuses me. This trip I opted for the new special that you get to pick a meat, and two sides. I got the hamburger steak with onions and mushrooms with a side salad and sweet potato. I really enjoyed my whole meal. It’s so easy to get something a little heavy but the fresh sides really made the meal. My server was great she handled the busy restaurant well and checked on us frequently we never wanted for anything. Two managers also checked on us and were very friendly, great experience!

Decent food, good service and plenty of people watching! The general store is fun to walk around, from the large candy bars, to yankee candles to audio books, they have a wide range of gifts. This location is always busy, so be prepared to wait.

Horrible attitude all around. They make you wait 10 – 15 mins just to take an order up front. There are 3 – 4 people up front but a server must take your to-go order. I watched 10 people get helped that came in after me. The manager walked up asked it he could take my order then proceeds to ignore me and start going through paperwork. The customer comes last at this place. Try calling in your order… they dont pick up the phone.

Since my last review, things seem to have gone downhill a bit for this location over our last few visits. We always order biscuits and a side of gravy as our appetizer. Every time. It was never a problem until recently. We ordered and the waitress said no. We asked again and her response was«no, that’s an order». I don’t know what her problem was or if she was confused and thought we were trying to get a free gravy with the biscuits and cornbread they always give you. Had to get a manager involved, who promptly corrected the issue. When the waitress came back to deliver the food, there was no apology for her mistake or any acknowledgement that she had done anything wrong. It was a bizarre experience that we just weren’t used to at a Cracker Barrel. On another visit we noticed a couple that was seated before us was still waiting for their food after we had finished our meal. This seems to be becoming a trend here because the last time we were there, we saw a group just give up and leave because they had been waiting so long for their order. No complaints about the food, it’s the service here that seems to be a problem. Unfortunately this is the only Cracker Barrel within about 30 miles, but I’ll probably go to one of the others next time.

I don’t understand the attraction to this place. Everyone of my family members rave about it. I don’t get it. The food was at the level of Denny’s at best, maybe Bob Evans. Not even up there with Diner food. Rolls burnt. Waitstaff going through the motions. You have to wade through crap you don’t want to buy to get in line to be seated and then you have to wade back through that same store to pay your bill and wait behind people not only [paying their check but buying stuff. One and done for me. I only gave it 2 stars because it wasn’t the worst food I ever ate but certainly I won’t go back.

My first visit to this Cracker Barrel Old Country Store… Everything from the food to the general store shopping gets an A+ from me. Treated myself to a special birthday gift… a Peacock Feather Shawl that was just too beautiful to leave behind. Will visit again!

The Cracker Barrel gets an «A» for customer service. The waitress was very nice she called me «Sir» during my exchange when ordering which reminded me of southern hospitality. The food was average. The corn bread and biscuits were a bit salty. The fried okra was rather bland. I expressed this to the waitress who offered to exchange those items or remove them from my tab. I wanted to purchase the peach cobbler, but the waitress advised that it was«sold out.» She told me that that selection is very popular and often sells quickly. She advised me pick-up the peach cobbler before 1 p.m. Overall, the experience was good. The restaurant can get very crowded and loud.

Terrible. The service was bad. The manager didn’t care. The food came put at different times and was cold. The cucumber, tomatoes and onion salad came out with no vinegar. Again the manager was terrible. We told him there were issues and he did nothing. Didn’t even care. Save your money, drive a little further but don’t come here.

CB is pretty consistent with their food and that is a good thing. You know exactly what you are getting. If you want chicken and dumplings, it always made the same way. Same goes for most of their dishes. I can remember a few times where the food didn’t come out quite as warm/hot that it should have been. Tell them and they’ll take care of it. The country store is a nice place to browse around for seasonal items.

Just a regular Cracker Barrel, the wait staff is very kind. Can get really busy, but that is all of the locations. The food is good as well.

Bottom Line: Come here for nostalgia, the general store and greasy breakfast. I’ve been to Cracker Barrel three times in my life and each time the experience has been ok. The best part of the experience for me is the fun general store. I always find funny cards and silly little gifts in there. Also, I kind like the nostalgic feel of Cracker Barrel. For example, the Moon Pies remind me of my beloved, late grandfather. As far as the restaurant, I have to really be craving some Southern, heavy, greasy food to eat here since that is what they specialize in. The interior is loud given all of the hard services and service here ranges from poor to average. On my last visit, the waiter spent more time reviewing data on a computer system than he did on the floor monitoring his guests’ needs. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the lovely presentation of the Fried Chicken Salad. Finally, I find their prices to be very reasonable. This particular location is conveniently located off of MD-295 at Nursery Road.

Not too shabby. A good old fashioned restaurant and a killer gift shop. Nice people, too. The food was a wee bit cold but it was busy. Stay hungry!

Worse Cracker Barrell location I’ve ever been too! Tami is a horrible server. We had dirty silverware, she told us they we out of catfish when they weren’t, and nine other of the food came out at the same time. We asked for apple butter and she wiped down three tables before she actually brought it to us. Service wasn’t fast and efficient at all! Total waste of time, money, and calories!

When I think comfort food, I think Cracker Barrel. Can’t help it. Just seems to fit. That being said, I have had mixed experiences here, though for the most part they have been positive. The last visit the food left a lot to be desired, and the server was not that dedicated to creating a positive experience. Still, for the most part, I can count on them to deliver the same tasty vittles I would expect from any CB. I do prefer to avoid the busy times on the weekends, so maybe I catch them off their A-game from time to time. Overall, though, usually worth going out of my way to eat here.

This is the perfect place for a Halloween celebration — cobwebs in the corner and splatters of something on the window shades, complimented the dusty pictures hung high on the wall. If only they were trying for the Halloween vibe. My breakfast was just okay. The pancakes did not melt in my mouth, but rather I had to chew them quite a bit. The sausage patties were overcooked and a bit tough. The eggs which were to be scrambled, arrived on my plate thick and folded over. The coffee was good and hot. The service was not bad; food served hot.

Ughhhh. I love Cracker Barrel, but I hate the seating and extremely long wait time. It makes no sense that a party of 5 is seated at a table for 4, with someone flanking the aisle(which is not safe for anyone) When we are finally seated and our waitress arrives she can’t take our order with our drink order? I’m confused. We waited for an hour to be seated then we have to wait so she can check on something. This is just prolonging the time I have to be here. When all I wanted to do was sit down and place my order. Fast forward to 7 minutes later… orders placed at 11:32am. 12:09 delivered… it was a shit show. Scrambled eggs not done… missing pieces of my order and I feel my waitress could care less cause she was worried about taking the order of the next table that had 9 people. We will go to the one across the bridge next time.

Great food, stellar customer service and super cheap prices! I can’t imagine what someone would complain about here. It’s not a fancy place but it has a nice low-key, country, southern feel, hence the moniker, ‘Old Country Store’. The store inside is moderately-sized, but it can definitely feel cramped when there’s a lot of people here(which seems to be most of the time). While you wait, I recommend that you purchase the Honey Lemonade by Nesbitts…(you can thank me later). The good thing about this location is that they have ample parking spaces, so you’ll never have an issue waiting for a space. Additionally, depending on the amount of people outside, you can rest in a rocking chair or a old church pew(lol) while you wait for your party to be called. I don’t know how they manage to keep the prices so low, but the food(at least what I’ve ordered) is really good. PLEASE try Mama’s Pancake Breakfast. So amazing! Everything is cooked to order, and the staff is always pleasant. If I had any real complaints, it would be with the patrons who come here and allow their kids to throw and spill food on the floor, leaving a sticky situation to those who come to enjoy a meal… not deal with wild kids. Outside of this, Cracker Barrel is a great place to enjoy good breakfast, lunch or dinner… and don’t forget to check out the store!

We went around 10:45AM on a Wednesday morning. I have never been to a Cracker Barrel before, so I was surprised to see how many dang cars there were outside of this place. We were seated right away, a party of two people, and our waiter took our drink orders and then waited mostly on us to decide what the heck off of these several menus we were going to order. Their sweet tea is perfect! We also ordered blueberry pancakes and the Double Meat Breakfast to share with one another. The blueberry pancake syrup they brought us was very good! Light and sweet and fruity goodness. The pancakes had good flavor, a little fried crispy like I like ‘em, not just a giant stack of fluff like some breakfast places. The Double Meat breakfast had 3 yummy slices of bacon, two small sausage patties(I wasn’t crazy about these, so I like my partner have both– I felt like they would have been better with more seasoning in the meat), and 3 scrambled eggs. The grits were standard, the gravy was just good, and the biscuits were moist and heavenly! Overall, we were very satisfied, and the bill was around $ 18. You pay in the gift shop, not at the table. The décor was fun, country corny. The service was fast but it did feel like we had to wait for the food a bit more than other breakfast places… maybe I was just already really darn hungry when I got in there.
