We loved 3 of the 6 menu items. The sweet lady who is part owner/operator took the order. Her passion for their food almost made us overlook the 30 min wait for food that had clearly been cooked previously and was just being warmed up. The jerk chicken, Mac and cheese and blackberry cobbler taste fantastic. However, it seemed that both the Mac and the cobbler servings were the last serving scraped from the bottom and sides of the dish at grandmas house. The candied yams taste canned, the pork ribs taste like they were boiled to perfection without the seasoning and in addition to the whole bag of sugar being poured in the lemonade, they left my cup ¼ empty. Is that customary in the south to allow that space for me to add my own water in case it is too sweet?

Can’t remember what I ordered once before but I went to get a rib plate this time. Ribs were fatty tough & lean meatless. Yams tasted canned — not sweet enough. I called & talked to owner just to let him know that I was displeased. I was too far to go back. He disagreed & halfway apologized. Insincere. He asked me what he wants me to do instead of offering to do something. Unacceptable for the price I paid for the rib dinner.
